THE LAST FLOOR ISN'T THE END
Adebiyi Oyindamola · Ongoing · 94.2k Words
Introduction
Humanity had exactly one minute to prepare for the apocalypse.
At 2:13 AM, the world changed.
Cities vanished beneath colossal underground Floors ruled by a godlike System that transformed survival into a brutal game of levels, classes, monsters, and death.
Most people received powerful combat classes.
Riven Bourne received Archivist , a class so weak that surviving the first day should have been impossible.
But riven notices things others cannot.
Hidden flaws. Broken mechanics. Lies buried inside the System itself.
While stronger players chase levels and glory, riven survives through strategy, exploiting invisible rules to overcome enemies far beyond his strength. As humanity descends deeper into the Floors, he begins uncovering a terrifying truth:
The System was never designed to save humanity.
It was designed to test it.
Amid collapsing civilizations, deadly guild wars, and cosmic conspiracies, riven forms an uneasy bond with seraphine noct ,a mysterious girl feared for her death-based powers and haunted by the souls she can hear singing in the dark.
Their relationship begins as survival.
It becomes something far more dangerous.
As the Floors evolve from underground dungeons into entire worlds at war, riven must choose what kind of man he will become: a savior, a monster, or the first human capable of breaking the System completely.
Because the deeper humanity climbs…
…the clearer the truth becomes.
The last Floor isn’t the end.
Chapter 1
Rain hammered the warehouse roof like artillery fire.
The sound never stopped.
Metal groaned overhead while cold air drifted through the endless rows of steel shelves packed with crates, plastic wrap, and rusted machinery parts no one cared enough to label correctly.
At the center of Aisle Fourteen, Riven Bourne shoved another heavy box onto a pallet and wiped sweat from the side of his neck with the sleeve of his hoodie.
The barcode scanner in his hand beeped.
2:07 AM.
Six more pallets left.
“Bourne!”
Riven didn’t look up immediately.
He scanned another crate first.
Beep.
Then he turned.
His supervisor waddled toward him clutching a clipboard tightly against his chest.
“Planning to move faster tonight or should I put you on retirement benefits already?”
Riven returned to stacking boxes.
“Working.”
The supervisor sighed dramatically.
“You know, normal people answer with full sentences.”
Riven shrugged.
Talking had never fixed anything before.
The older man muttered something under his breath and walked away.
The warehouse returned to its normal rhythm: forklifts humming, workers complaining, rain slamming against metal roofing, machines buzzing endlessly beneath flickering fluorescent lights.
Another box.
Another scan.
Another hour surviving a job nobody wanted.
Riven adjusted the sleeve covering the faded scar across his wrist and reached for another crate
The scanner glitched.
Static flashed across the screen.
His hand froze.
For half a second, strange red symbols flickered across the device.
Then the screen returned to normal.
Riven frowned.
Probably damaged circuitry.
Still…
something felt wrong.
Not emotionally.
Physically.
Like pressure building before a storm.
A loud crack of thunder shook the building hard enough to rattle the shelves.
Several workers cursed nearby.
The lights flickered once.
Twice.
Then everything went black.
The warehouse fell silent.
No machines.
No forklifts.
No humming electricity.
Just darkness.
A nervous laugh echoed somewhere across the floor.
“Power outage again?”
Another voice answered, “Backup generator should’ve kicked in by now”
A scream cut through the warehouse.
Sharp.
Sudden.
Terrified.
Riven turned instantly toward the sound.
Emergency lights exploded alive overhead in deep crimson flashes.
The warehouse looked soaked in blood.
People shouted everywhere at once.
“My phone stopped working!”
“What happened to the doors?!”
“Why are they locked?!”
Riven moved toward the nearest exit immediately.
The electronic lock beside the emergency door blinked red.
ACCESS DENIED.
He pulled the handle hard.
Nothing.
A deep metallic groan echoed beneath the floor.
Riven stepped backward slowly.
The concrete trembled.
Then split apart.
A massive crack ripped through the center of the warehouse floor like reality itself had been torn open.
Workers screamed and stumbled backward as darkness spread beneath them.
Not a hole.
An abyss.
Bottomless.
Cold air poured upward carrying the smell of wet earth and decay.
One worker slipped near the edge.
His fingers clawed desperately against the concrete.
Then he vanished into the darkness below.
No impact.
No scream.
Just gone.
Panic detonated across the warehouse.
People rushed the exits.
Others dropped to the floor crying.
Someone started praying loudly.
The entire building shook again.
And then every electronic screen lit up simultaneously.
Phones.
Registers.
Security monitors.
The scanner hanging from Riven’s hand.
Bright crimson text filled every display.
WELCOME, CANDIDATES.
INITIALIZING FLOOR 1.
SURVIVAL PROBABILITY: 18%
Silence spread.
Nobody understood what they were seeing.
The message changed.
TUTORIAL BEGINS IN:
00:59
A woman laughed hysterically.
Someone screamed at the screens.
One man punched a shelf hard enough to break his hand.
Riven stared at the countdown.
00:58
00:57
00:56
The numbers felt real.
That was the terrifying part.
Some instinct deep inside him already understood this wasn’t a prank.
The warehouse shook violently again.
Riven looked toward the loading bay windows.
Several workers had already smashed one open.
Cold wind howled through the building.
People stared outside in horror.
The city was gone.
No buildings.
No traffic lights.
No streets.
Only darkness beneath a storm-red sky.
And far away in the distance
massive black towers stretched upward into swirling clouds like spears piercing heaven itself.
The world outside no longer looked human.
A woman beside the broken window collapsed sobbing.
“Oh God…”
Then the floor moved.
Not trembled.
Moved.
Huge circular sections of concrete began descending like giant elevator platforms.
Workers screamed as entire groups dropped into the abyss below.
Chains thundered somewhere deep underground.
The warehouse was becoming a machine.
Riven sprinted forward.
Instinct guided him toward a stable section near the center aisle while platforms collapsed all around him.
A forklift tipped sideways and disappeared into darkness.
The countdown continued.
00:22
00:21
00:20
Riven reached stable ground
and nearly collided with a girl kneeling beside a fallen steel pallet.
Long black hair.
Dark clothing.
Blood running down one side of her face.
She was trying to pull an unconscious worker free from beneath the crushed metal.
“He’s trapped,” she said breathlessly. “Help me lift this”
Riven looked once at the man.
Crushed ribs.
Collapsed chest.
Blood bubbling from his mouth.
“He’s dead.”
Her eyes snapped toward him.
“He’s still breathing!”
“He’s dying.”
The platform beneath them lurched violently.
The girl almost lost her footing.
Riven grabbed her arm automatically and pulled her upright.
For a brief second their eyes met.
Fear.
Shock.
Anger.
Then the body beneath the pallet moved.
Its eyes opened.
Too wide.
Too empty.
The worker’s jaw cracked unnaturally as black liquid spilled from his mouth.
The girl recoiled in horror.
“What the hell?!”
The corpse lunged upward.
Riven reacted instantly.
He kicked the steel pallet sideways with all his strength.
CRACK.
The edge slammed into the creature’s skull.
The body collapsed twitching.
Black blood spread across the floor.
Silence.
The girl stared at the corpse.
Then at Riven.
Breathing hard.
“What… was that?”
Riven didn’t answer.
Because somewhere deep inside himself…
he already knew.
Whatever was waiting below them
it had already begun changing people.
The countdown hit zero.
Every light in the warehouse turned crimson.
One final message appeared overhead.
FLOOR 1 ACTIVE.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
SURVIVE.
WARNING:
DEATH IS PERMANENT.
The floor vanished beneath them.
And the world swallowed them whole.

Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.
He’s my boyfirend’s brother.
This is Tyler’s family.
I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.

I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
Aphrodite and the Cursed Mate Bond
She finds truth.
Aphrodite is not human at all. She is a rare white wolf, descended from an ancient Direwolf bloodline long believed extinct. The ritual meant to sever her ties awakens her wolf instead and with it comes the scent of five mates bound to her by fate.
The Alpha twins who once scorned her now cannot stay away. A human hunter walks beside her and proves that strength is not born of fangs or dominance. A cursed Wolf King holds the key to her past and her father’s imprisonment. And watching from the shadows is one who was never meant to interfere at all.
As gods fall, packs fracture, and war reshapes the world, Aphrodite must decide what destiny truly means. Is it submission to fate or the courage to choose her own path.
Love does not come in one form. Neither does power.
In a world ruled by gods and wolves, Aphrodite will become something neither ever expected.
Not a queen.
But the axis upon which the world turns.
The Alpha's Stripper Mate
"What?" It was out of my mouth before I could stop it. I did not wait for him to answer me, I walked toward him.
"Dance on my lap."
My head screamed at me to turn around and run. But my whole body responded to his command.
"Yes, Alpha," I pulled my dress over my body, it dropped over my head and fell to the ground behind me. I was left in nothing but my matching bra and thong. My hands covered my chest on reflex.
"Let me see."
My hands dropped to my sides.
I lowered myself into his lap, facing him. His eyes peered into mine, and I could feel his hot breath fan my face. His dick responded to all my moves, hardening against my now-moist vagina. I swallowed hard, allowing my lips to part in a ragged breath. His hands trailed up to my waist.
"No touching."
At the tender age of eleven, JoJo Wyatt was forced to grow up far sooner than she should have. Born to a cruel father and a weak mother, she quickly realized she had to become the breadwinner for herself and her sister. Nothing else mattered to her, not even the hottest men. In fact, she despised them. After one horrific night, she swore never to have any contact with the male species again. That was, until she started working for him as his stripper.
Meanwhile, Alpha Lake Rush, thirty, was the most feared Alpha in the country. Burdened by his own share of life's struggles, he had learned only to be cruel and reckless, rejecting not one but two mates. But what happens when he discovers yet another mate, and she turns out to be his stripper?
The Dragon's Last Fae Queen
“Prince? Dickhead? Asshole? Or stalker?” A slow, dangerous smile curved his lips. “Maybe I should show you the one title I want you to use.” Before I could react, his hand closed around my chin, tilting my face up. His lips crashed into mine, hard, claiming, breath-stealing. When he finally pulled back, his voice was a rough whisper against my lips. “You could call me yours… because you are mine.”

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
I’d appreciate all your support, thank you so much!
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
