Beneath the Full Moon, Desire Awakens…
Claire Hawthorne has spent her life studying the wild, drawn to the mysteries of the wolves she protects. But when she crosses paths with Devon Sinclair—a dangerously magnetic billionaire with a primal secret—her world shifts in ways she never imagined.
Devon is more than just ruthless in business—he’s the Alpha of a hidden world, one ruled by instincts, power, and an ancient curse. Claire shouldn’t crave him, shouldn’t feel the undeniable pull between them. But fate has other plans.
As their passion ignites, enemies close in. A deadly conspiracy threatens to expose Devon’s true nature, forcing Claire to choose between the world she knows and the one she’s destined for. With betrayal lurking in the shadows and the full moon rising, their love could either break the curse—or doom them both.
He’s the predator. She’s the temptation. And under the moon’s spell, nothing is safe.
Chapter 1
I stood at the edge of the vast forest that bordered the Sinclair estate.
My breath was fogging in the cool night air. I felt alive, attuned to the rhythm of nature.
The song of the wolves called to me, as it had so many times before.
The world had transformed around me. Beneath the luminous glow of the full moon, I was standing still, confused and nervous as hell out.
Shadows danced among the trees, flickering and weaving like whispers of ancient secrets carried by the wind.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Noah Gray’s voice broke through the tranquility, laced with an undertone of uncertainty.
He stepped beside me, his art-stained hands tucked into the pockets of his worn jeans. “You know how dangerous it can be.”
I turned to meet his gaze, my heart twinging at the worry etched into his soft features. “I need to understand this connection, Noah. Every full moon, I feel it pulling me closer to them. I have to go.”
Noah’s shoulders slumped with a sigh, and for a moment, his eyes darkened with emotions unexpressed. “I just don’t want you to get hurt.
You’re my best friend, Claire.” His sentiment wrapped around me like a warm blanket; I found solace in our long-standing bond, even if it felt complicated at times. But the wolves… they needed me too.
As a wildlife biologist, my life revolved around understanding and protecting them. And now, I’d discovered a bridge between my two worlds—one that begged to be crossed.
“Besides,” I said, attempting to lighten the mood, “I’ve got the perfect bodyguard.”
I gestured towards the imposing silhouette of Devon Sinclair, who had just emerged from the shadows. He was a man molded by power and influence.
His suit sharply accentuating his striking features under the moonlight.
Devon approached, a casual confidence resonating through his movements. “You’re not going into the woods alone, Claire.” His deep voice rumbled with authority, but there was an unexpected gentleness in his gaze.
Noah bristled slightly. “Why does she need you, Devon? She’d be safer with someone who actually understands this.”
I felt the tension rise as they locked eyes, each silently gauging the other’s intentions. Devon smirked, the hint of a challenge lighting up his expression. “I think Claire can make her own choices, Noah. And she’s decided that I will accompany her tonight.”
Every word dripped with the simmering heat of their complex relationship, a mix of attraction and the unspoken secrets that loomed between us. This night, however, felt different.
I could hardly ignore the mounting electricity that charged the air, each heartbeat drawing me closer to a visceral awakening I had yet to fully embrace.
As we stepped into the woods, the world around us transformed. The moon bathed the forest floor in silvery light, casting ethereal shadows that danced with the rustle of night creatures awakening around us. My heart raced, not just from fear, but from anticipation of what lay ahead. Every step brought me closer to understanding my powers—my unique ability to communicate with wolves.
“We should tread lightly,” Devon said, his voice a low murmur, laced with authority that made my heart flutter. “The pack will be on high alert tonight.”
I nodded, suppressing a surge of adrenaline. With every moment spent near him, I was reminded of the tantalizing mystery that surrounded him. “You’re not worried, are you?”
His lips twisted in a wry smile. “Worrying isn’t my style.”
The bond between us electrified the air, each unspoken word igniting an unquenchable thirst for something that neither of us could clearly define.
In the depths of the forest, we reached a clearing, illuminated by the moon’s spotlight. As we entered, a chorus of soft howls filled the night air—musical and haunting. I closed my eyes, embracing the sensation; it washed over me like a tide of recognition.
“Do you feel that?” I asked, my voice barely a whisper.
Devon remained silent, simply watching me with rapt attention.
A slight chill tickled the back of my neck—an instinctive reaction to the unknown brewing in the shadows. From behind a cluster of ancient oaks, a pair of glimmering eyes materialized, shimmering like the moon itself. The wolves stepped into the light, as if summoned by my very essence.
“Welcome, wolf,” one of the larger wolves growled, an elder of the pack. His voice sliced through the night, resonant with authority that echoed in my bones.
“I am Claire,” I replied, my heart pounding in my chest. “I mean no harm.”
The wolf studied me, tilting its head in an almost human-like manner. “You have a gift—to speak the tongue of the wild. Yet your presence here has drawn attention, and not all see your arrival as a blessing.”
I exchanged a fleeting glance with Devon, who remained nonchalant but vigilant, the tension palpable.
“What do you seek?” the wolf continued, its eyes narrowing. “Do you seek acceptance among us, or do you wish to challenge our ways?”
“I just want—”
But before I could finish, a loud rustle pierced the tranquility, causing a ripple of unease to sweep through the pack. From the shadows emerged Liam O’Brien, the rogue werewolf who had long been a thorn in Devon’s side. His raven-black hair contrasted sharply with moonlit features that suggested mischief and malice.
“Devon, bringing human company into our territory? How bold of you.” Liam’s voice dripped with sarcasm, and as he moved closer, the pack’s tension escalated.
“Liam,” Devon warned, his tone low and dangerous. “This is not your territory either.”
“Ah, but isn’t that the point?” Liam advanced, a sly smile playing on his lips. “She’s a charming distraction, but you know the Council will not favor this. They’ll see it as a threat.”
I felt the air grow thick with animosity, and a flicker of fear ghosted through me; the stakes were higher than I’d initially thought. Yet amid that fear, I grappled with the undeniable attraction between me and Devon, which contrasted sharply against the dark tension that Liam wielded.
“Claire,” Liam continued, a predatory edge lurking beneath his façade, “you’d do well to tread carefully among these woods. You might find some secrets hidden in the shadows that can lead to quite—unfortunate outcomes for you and your little wolf friend.”
The warning lingered in the air, tainting the night’s serenity. My gut twisted, and I reached for Devon’s arm, anchoring myself to the warmth of his presence, as if to ward off the chill creeping into my bones.
“Liam, back off,” Devon growled, and for a moment, the battle lines were drawn.
Feeling the need to diffuse the tension, I took a step forward, my heart hammering. “I don’t intend to harm anyone. I came here to learn…to understand.”
An unexpected flicker of something softened in Liam’s expression, but it quickly morphed back to mischief. “Understanding is a noble pursuit, Claire, but knowledge doesn’t always bring safety. You’re no longer in a world that cradles you in innocence.”
As the urgency and menace pulsed through the air, I sensed a ripple of change beneath the surface of our gathering. This moment felt pivotal, and the choices I would make in the next breath would alter the course of my life—and that of those I cared for.
“Now, what will you do?” Liam pressed, clearly enjoying the game, his dark eyes glinting under the moonlight. “Will you run back to the safety of your little world or step into the wild, embracing its chaos?”
I stood straighter, reflecting on my relationship with nature, transformation, and the stirring feelings that Devon ignited within me. My thoughts drifted to my estranged father, William—a man with secrets of his own, whose past choices created rifts that threatened to engulf the present.
“I choose to understand,” I declared, my voice steady despite the turmoil brewing in my heart. “I choose this world.”
The wolves howled in homage, acknowledging my words, while Liam’s chuckle sliced through the air, dark and mocking. “Then welcome to the wild, little wolf.”
Devon tightened his grip on my arm, his presence a grounding force against the cacophony of emotions rising within me. “No one lays claim to Claire,” he said, fierceness boiling beneath his smooth exterior. “She is no one’s pawn.”
A crackle of energy surged between us, igniting a fire that stirred the air. It was thrilling, terrifying—a declaration of the bond we were beginning to forge underneath the full moon’s watchful gaze.
With that decision, I had unknowingly awakened something primal within myself. And as the wolves roamed closer, their eyes shimmering with ancient wisdom, I sensed it: the call of the wild beckoning, urging me to embrace not only my love for them but also the truth behind my connection to Devon Sinclair, the billionaire hidden by a veil of shadows.
The full moon hung high above, a silent witness to the choices we made under its watchful illumination—a beginning whispered in the winds, marking the first steps on a journey neither of us could have anticipated.
A sudden gust of wind whipped through the clearing, snuffing out the momentary stillness. The wolves tensed, their ears flicking toward an unseen presence. I felt it too—a shift in the air, a disturbance rippling through the very fabric of the night.
Then, the howl came. Not from the pack before me, but from somewhere deeper in the woods. Low, guttural, and unlike anything I had ever heard.
Devon’s posture stiffened. “That’s not one of ours.”
Liam’s smirk faltered for the first time, his expression darkening. “Well, Claire,” he murmured, his voice almost amused but laced with something far colder. “It looks like you’re about to learn a truth you weren’t ready for.”
And as the shadows beyond the trees began to shift, revealing something—or someone—watching from the darkness, I realized I had just crossed a threshold I could never return from. My mind was full of questions—was I falling into prey?

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The War God Alpha's Arranged Bride
Yet Alexander made his decision clear to the world: “Evelyn is the only woman I will ever marry.”
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...

The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."

The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
