Introduction
His voice!
It was the deepest one I have ever heard. His aura screams power but I don't know why I kept on looking at his face as if I was under a love spell.
"You keep looking at me, did you find me too pretty?" He asked, and his deep voice jolted me awake, goosebumps traveling down my skin when I realized he grabbed my ass cheek.
Fuck!
Now, I wasn't expecting that.
"Sorry, I don't think I heard you well," I said in a calm voice, averting my gaze. And thanks to the mask, he would have seen my cheeks red with blush.
"What music would you want me to dance to?" I said as I stood upright, my heart beating wildly against my chest.
"I think another person should be brought in, don't you think?" He asked, his head cocked to one side and I swear, his words hit a nerve in me.
No client has ever belittled me before and his rude remark felt like a blow to me.
"I don't think you will be needing another girl," I said and touched the collar of his shirt.
Valeria seems like a regular omega on the surface but beneath that perfect smile lies a great secret. Driven by vengeance and revenge, she works as a stripper at night to find her parents' killer.
Her thirst for vengeance ultimately makes her cross paths with a mysterious masked man she feels holds the answers she seeks.
But what will happen when Valeria is arranged to marry the Lycan King, who seeks an open marriage? She is forced to live a double life to keep her secrets.
Chapter 1
Valeria POV
"Val, you need to wear something more revealing. We both know this might be the last time you will be going to the club," Eleanor said in a whisper in order not to let the girls in the room hear us.
"Then do you suggest I go there naked just because today is going to be the last day? Being the Luna of his kingdom wouldn't stop me from finding out who killed my parents, and you know better than anyone that this was my sole purpose," I said and let down my black hair.
This is a part of my life which I don't have control offer, my adopted father is one of the Lycan king’s advisors in the palace and being the wise one among them, he suggested I marry the Lycan king to be under his protection because my kind is forbidden and was to be killed if found. I am a Hybrid, born of werewolf blood and witch.
However, I had to work in a club because the information I found out three years ago, one of my parents' killers was actually spotted in the club and the only thing that gave him away was the viper tattoo he had.
I don't even know why I felt the feeling that tonight would be different. I don't know who this guy is, but I just know there is no turning back and I need to check if he is the one I have been looking for or not.
"Okay, I understand. Just get it done with because you will be moving tomorrow morning," Eleanor said, and I kissed her cheek because she was only trying to look out for me. This is how she has always been, caring and protective.
"You are such a brat; I won't stay long," I said with a wink and made my way out of the dressing room. My heels make soft clicks on the floor as I walk towards the room my special client is in. I heard this is the second time he will be coming here, and all I need to do is check for that mark, and once I see it, everything is done.
The music blazes loudly in the speaker as I make my way to the VIP room to satisfy my client. He went by the name X, and rumors say he is not the type to get easily aroused, and you are only meant to dance and leave, which is what I am going to do tonight if he turns out not to be the person I have been looking for, then the story will be different.
I pushed the door open and walked my way inside. The first smell that hit my nostrils was mint combined with something like rose, a unique smell and I inhaled it like a sweet fragrance.
"Hi," I said and gripped the pole in the room. I twirl around it with my ass lifted in the air. The dark shadow surrounded him, and the moonlight that shone inside the room couldn't reveal his face.
Just as the rumor said, he didn't even move an inch towards me; he remained seated on that chair, and I must confess that there was this eerie air that surrounded him like a second skin.
Despite the warning bells, I don't know why I just feel the need to tease him a little, to see his face. I am not the type to confidently approach a client, but he requested someone more experienced, and I was sent to him.
I removed my hand from the pole and worked towards him slowly, closing the distance between us bit by bit. My steps faltered when I saw his handsome figure up close.
My heart skipped a beat, and I swallowed hard. I don't know if it was his stare or the way the silver mask he wore couldn't hide the perfect face beneath it and those pink, rosy, full lips.
I lost my footing, and I fell over him with a gentle thud but I am glad the black mask I wore is still intact.
"Didn't know a clumsy girl would be sent to me?" He said, and I felt a ripple go through me.
His voice!

No client has ever belittled me before and his rude remark felt like a blow to me.
"I don't think you will be needing another girl," I said and touched the collar of his shirt.
Fuck!
How could I forget he doesn't like touching? Strangely, he didn't push me away.
"I am the one in charge here," I said in a whisper and almost kissed him with my lips almost touching his. I could taste his mint breath on my lips.
The music began to play, and I started moving to it; I placed my hands on his chest, and it felt as if I touched a fucking wall. He is well-built in the right place, and I wonder what his...
Focus, Valeria!
Don't tell me you are going to fantasize about him now.
I let my butt rest on his legs and drill him. Suddenly, his hand caught my waist, and a low gasp escaped my lips.
"Is that all you have got?" He asked, and I almost got lost in his sweet voice again.
I gave him a lap dance, making sure I touched his neck, his chest, and his arms but I didn't touch his mask.
"You should let me do the touching," I said and removed his hand from my waist. I wasn't even wearing a bra and my waist still burned from his touch. This doesn't feel right because it feels as if I have no control over my body.
He remains still, not moving. He didn't touch me again, and he let me do the work.
He is tempting.
He is too handsome, and I could sense he was not ordinary, an Alpha? Warrior or Beta? I wasn't sure but I am sure he is not a mere werewolf. I couldn't check for the tattoo because he was heavily clothed.
Other men would have been on their knees, begging to have a taste of me, but he is different. Compared to them, he can control his desire.
No.
I think I am wrong here.
He is not the one getting affected. Instead, it's the other way around. I am the one who is ignited while he remains in the same position like a statue.
I could feel the heat resonating from him, it made me excited with a mischievous grin curling on my face. I had him where he was meant to be this time. I am not the only one getting affected after all. I lower my ass cheeks on his bulge to tease him further. An ungodly sound akin to a grunt, something I was not meant to hear, left his throat.
Never have I been this turned on by a client, the heat resonated with me. I got intoxicated by the way he trapped me with his eyes and everything faded into a blur. It was just him and me.
Those lips were calling me to exercise my every restraint. I refused to cave in, but why was he coming closer to me?
Why is my heart beating fast?
The only sound that filled my ears was our breathing. The way he inhaled and exhaled became more forceful. I thought he didn't like to be touched, he was dangerously close to mem
His intoxicating breath destroyed my remaining resolve as it fanned against my skin giving me ticklish sparks.
Our lips were barely apart; I closed my eyes, already fantasizing how soft they would feel against mine. His breath fanned against my lips, and he brushed it lightly against mine, causing me to whimper.
Still lost in the moment, his voice drawled close to my ears. " Your Time is up." He said, and threw some bills on the floor, still watching me.
My eyes widened, I lost my composure.
What had just happened did the hunter just become a prey... His gaze was blank and emotionless, and I couldn't even guess if his eyes were black or brown.
My cheeks turned red, so red it could be seen in the dim lights. I was the one who fell into his trap, the one who got intoxicated.
I expected him to say something.
Like, how much for a night?
Or I would like to see you again, but he didn't do any of that.
He already paid for my service, so there is no point in taking the money he threw on the floor.
His phone rang, and he picked it up. "I need another girl," he said to the person on the phone. I turned the doorknob only to hear his voice.
"We will meet again," he said,
and I didn't bother to turn back to know he was actually behind me. I wanted to take one last look at his mask face and see his tall frame but I know better than anyone to just leave tonight.
My job was done, and he wasn't satisfied.

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.

My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.
