The Rogue Alpha Is My Housemate
Zee Muazu · Ongoing · 30.3k Words
Introduction
Not just because he once coldly rejected her on the same night she failed to shift, but because he’s now living under her family’s roof.
When Lyra’s world shatters after catching her chosen mate in bed with her foster sister, she tries to punish the two betrayers using a revenge spell. But that spell backfires, restoring her mate bond with Reid instead. The only way out? Their hatred for each other has to overpower the strength of the bond.
The only question is… do they truly hate each other like they claim to do? Or is it all a facade?
A good girl like Lyra has no business getting involved with a bad boy like Reid, especially one with a past as dark as his. Reid is cursed and banished from his pack by his father, after murdering his own mother and attempting to kill his father’s second Luna again.
But secrets don’t stay buried for long, and the harder Lyra tries to hate him, the closer fate pulls them together.
He’s the last guy she should ever fall for.
She’s the only girl he can’t stay away from.
And in a house full of lies, rules, and deceit, love becomes the most dangerous rebellion of all.
How much of Reid’s darkness can Lyra handle before it finally consumes her? Can they really spare themselves from each other before the bond turns permanent?
Chapter 1
LYRA
“Alpha Prince Reid is arriving today to stay with us. I’ll be leaving for an important meeting, so make sure you welcome him properly.”
At my father’s words, I freeze mid-bite. The taste of breakfast turns sour on my tongue as I stare at him.
Maybe I’m hearing wrong. Maybe he means another Reid, not the Reid that I know.
“The Alpha King’s son?” I ask, silently praying in my heart that I’m wrong.
“Yes.” He answers, still focused on his meal. Like he hasn’t just dropped a bombshell.
A breath of disbelief escapes me, and I grip my fork tightly so it doesn’t slip from my trembling fingers.
So the rumors are true. Reid is really coming to our pack. To stay under our roof.
Which means the rest of the rumors are true. He’ll be serving community service punishment at the university.
It’s one thing for Father to let him attend the university because he’s the Alpha King’s son. But taking him into our home just sounds absurd.
I mean, this is the same cursed man who murdered his mother and nearly killed his father’s new Alpha Queen.
The same man who rejected me five years ago.
And Father is welcoming him here just because he’s friends with the Alpha King? I can’t believe it.
I scoff quietly to myself but remain silent. Father hates being questioned, and I’m not in the mood to handle his rage.
Still, I can’t stop the anger burning in my chest. He doesn’t even consider my feelings before making decisions that reopen old wounds.
“I, Alpha Prince Reid Hades, reject you, Lyra Durin, as my fated mate.” I flinch as those cruel words of his rejection replays itself in my head again. Five years have passed, and they still sting.
He’d rejected me in public, during the full moon festival at Middle Earth pack: our capital pack. On the night of my eighteenth birthday. The same night I was supposed to shift for the first time. The same night the moon goddess, in her sadistic humor, decided to reveal that Reid and I were fated mates.
I still remember my father’s disappointment when I couldn’t shift. The judgment in everyone’s eyes. The smirks when Reid rejected me. They couldn’t let their future Alpha Queen be weak, and I was exactly that.
I’ve hated Reid ever since then.
And now, Father is the reason our paths are about to cross again.
The rest of our breakfast drags on in tense silence. When Father finally leaves for his meeting, I storm upstairs, anger tight in my chest. I grab my phone and dial Roxanna’s number.
Roxanna’s my foster sister. Father adopted her when we were ten, and since then, we’ve been tied to the hips.
“Pick up. Come on, pick up,” I mutter as the phone rings.
No answer.
She didn’t come home last night, as she was sleeping over at her boyfriend’s place. I’d covered for her when Father asked, lying that she was at an all-girl sleepover.
Now, I really need her. I need to scream, rant, and pull out my hair about Reid until I stop shaking.
“Damn it,” I cuss under my breath, flopping onto my bed and trying again. Still nothing.
I text her instead:
ME: DON’T TELL ME YOU’RE TOO BUSY WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND, TO HAVE TIME FOR YOUR OWN SISTER!
Half a minute later, a middle finger emoji pops up. Despite the knot in my stomach, I let out a dry laugh.
ME: GUESS I’LL SEE YOU AT SCHOOL THEN. I HAVE SOMETHING TO TELL YOU AND IT’S KILLING ME!!!
No reply.
With a resigned sigh, I toss my phone aside and drag myself into the bathroom where I have a quick shower. Then, I pull on a pair of baggy jeans and a plain top, tie my chestnut brown curls into a messy ponytail, and slip on my glasses. One glance in the mirror, and I look away again.
I don’t spend too much time in the mirror because there’s nothing to look at anyway.
I’m pale and average. I don’t have the kind of look that sticks to one’s mind for long. Honestly, it’s not insecurity, but a truth I’ve come to terms with.
Not like Roxanna. She’s everything I’m not. Tall, gorgeous, confident and with a body that can kill. Every girl at Northlands Crest University wants to be her, and every guy wants to date her.
And me? I’m just lucky she calls me sister.
Returning to my phone, I try my boyfriend Dean’s line. It goes unanswered. He’s supposed to pick me up for school, but he’s late, and that’s unlike him.
Dean’s the Alpha’s son and my chosen mate. While Reid’s father is the Alpha King ruling over Middle Earth pack and the entire realm, Dean’s father, Alpha Flame, is one of the Alphas ruling over the remaining four packs. He’s the Alpha of our pack: Northlands pack.
After Reid had rejected me, my father made a deal with Alpha Flame who is also his business ally. I am to be mated to Dean, in order to strengthen their business relationship and family bond.
At first, I’d hated the arrangement but after setting eyes on Dean, I’d fallen straight in love with him.
I dial Dean’s number again. It rings thrice before going silent again.
A groan tears from my throat. Why is everyone ignoring me today?
I rake my fingers through my hair, glancing at my wristwatch. Shit. I’m minutes away from running late.
With a grunt of frustration, I sling my bag over my shoulder and head out. Maybe Dean forgot his phone again. He does that more often than any sane person should.
I descend the stairs and step outside. Stopping by the front door, my gaze fixes on the driveway, waiting for his car to roll in.
Seconds tick by. I bite the inside of my cheek. I have a class presentation in less than thirty minutes, and I’m supposed to meet my swim coach before that.
Fuck.
Suddenly, the low, rumbling bass of an engine cuts through my messy mind. I look up.
A sleek, black motorcycle glides through the open gates. The rider is dressed head to toe in black: helmet, jacket and gloves.
My brows knit. Dean doesn’t ride bikes. He barely knows how to handle a scooter, let alone a beast like that.
So who—
The bike slows to a stop a few feet from me. The rider swings a long leg over the machine and straightens. He is tall as fuck. Easily over six feet.
I take a cautious step back as he strides toward me, confident and unhurried.
“Excuse me—” I begin, but the words die in my throat when he stops in front of me and removes his helmet.
I freeze.
Familiar cold, gray eyes lock on mine. Eyes that once watched me emotionlessly as the pain of rejection tore through me.
Reid.
My heart slams against my ribs.
“Long time, no see, Lyra.”

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?

A Lesson in Magic
From Substitute To Queen
Heartbroken, Sable discovered Darrell having sex with his ex in their bed, while secretly transferring hundreds of thousands to support that woman.
Even worse was overhearing Darrell laugh to his friends: "She's useful—obedient, doesn't cause trouble, handles housework, and I can fuck her whenever I need relief. She's basically a live-in maid with benefits." He made crude thrusting gestures, sending his friends into laughter.
In despair, Sable left, reclaimed her true identity, and married her childhood neighbor—Lycan King Caelan, nine years her senior and her fated mate. Now Darrell desperately tries to win her back. How will her revenge unfold?
From substitute to queen—her revenge has just begun!
The Lycan Kings and the White Wolf.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Triplet Alpha: My Fated Mates
"No." "I'm fine."
"Fuck," he breathes. "You're—"
"Don't." My voice cracks. "Please don't say it."
"Aroused." He says it anyway. "You're aroused."
"I'm not—"
"Your scent." His nostrils flare. "Kara, you smell like—"
"Stop." I cover my face with my hands. "Just—stop."
Then his hand on my wrist, pulling my hands away.
"There's nothing wrong with wanting us," he says softly. "It's natural. You're our mate. We're yours."
"I know." My voice is barely a whisper.
I spent ten years as a ghost in the Sterling mansion—a debt slave to the triplet Alphas who made my life hell. They called me "Carrot," shoved me into frozen rivers, and left me to die in the snow when I was eleven.
On my eighteenth birthday, everything changed. My first shift released a scent of white musk and first snow—and three former tormentors stood outside my door, claiming I was their fated mate. All three of them.
Overnight, the debt vanished. Asher's commands turned to vows, Blake's fists became trembling apologies, and Cole swore they'd been waiting for me all along. They declared me their Luna and promised to spend their lives atoning.
My wolf howls to accept them. But one question haunts me:
Would that eleven-year-old girl, freezing and certain she would die, forgive the choice I'm about to make?
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...

The original Aria's life was a nightmare. Humiliated when golden boy Kai Matthews posted her love letter online, then shoved to death by his girlfriend Bella Morrison. But that's not all her family faces:
"You got until Monday," the tattooed gangster sneered at Aria's mother. "Ten grand cash. Or I'm taking collateral—your kids' organs fetch top dollar. That pretty daughter of yours? She could make us money another way too."
Now Angelina's lethal combat skills awaken in this fragile body. No more hiding. No more fear.
Armed with an Alpha's ruthlessness and a mysterious blood-red pendant, she'll dismantle everyone who hurt this family—one calculated move at a time.
