Introduction
"What?" Lisbeth Whitaker looked up in shock, unable to believe what she was hearing.
This was her husband of five years, who had cheated on her with the female caregiver she'd hired to look after him.
Now he was resorting to blackmail to force her into a divorce so he could make room for his mistress!
Chapter 1
"Lisbeth, you'd better agree to this divorce quickly! Otherwise, I'll make these photos public and let all your fans see how their beloved star with millions of followers was once molested by an old man!"
"What?" Lisbeth Whitaker looked up in shock, unable to believe what she was hearing.
Her husband of five years, who had cheated on her with the female caregiver she'd hired to look after him.
Now he was resorting to blackmail to force her into a divorce so he could make room for his mistress!
"Don't play dumb. How could a woman as soiled as you deserve to be my wife?" Leopold Hearst sneered, pulling out a thick envelope.
It contained the case file from when she was sexually assaulted years ago.
Inside were detailed records of how that man had torn her dress, bitten her neck and chest, and let his hands wander lower... It even included the medical examination photos taken afterward as evidence.
Back then, Leopold, heartbroken by her suffering, had worked tirelessly to gather all this evidence to help her win her case.
Now, however, it had become the weapon he was using to force her compliance.
Lisbeth trembled with rage, finally managing to choke out words. "You're actually using this to blackmail me into a divorce? Fine, you say you don't love me anymore. Whatever! But what about Dennis? If this gets out, how will Dennis ever face the world?"
To her surprise, Leopold responded with a contemptuous laugh. "You dare mention Dennis? You know exactly how that child was conceived while I was in a coma!"
Blood drained from Lisbeth's face. She couldn't believe her ears. She grabbed Leopold's collar and demanded, "What are you implying?"
"Isn't it obvious, Lisbeth? That bastard doesn't look anything like me! I didn't bring it up before because I thought I'd preserve your reputation for old times' sake. Did you really think I was that stupid?"
Leopold shoved her away, his eyes full of mockery and condescension.
"I know you're desperate—a mother with HIV, a son diagnosed with leukemia—that's why you've been clinging to me. But why should I be your personal ATM?"
He thought he was being reasonable, just stating facts without embellishment. Little did he know, every word was a knife precisely targeting Lisbeth's deepest wounds.
She regretted agreeing to Leopold's honeymoon trip so much.
If they hadn't gone abroad, they wouldn't have encountered the riot. She wouldn't have been disfigured, and Leopold wouldn't have lost his memory!
Most importantly, Leopold wouldn't have fallen in love with the caregiver she'd hired at great expense, and he wouldn't be calling his own son a bastard!
"Shut up!" Lisbeth's eyes blazed red as she pulled out the documents and slapped them against his chest. "You want a divorce? Fine, you've got it!"
At the courthouse, the clerk spoke mechanically. "For a divorce, please present your divorce application and a copy of your marriage certificate, along with related materials."
Lisbeth spoke with difficulty, "The copy of our marriage certificate was torn up..."
Leopold frowned impatiently. "Where can we get a replacement?"
Seeing Leopold's eagerness to divorce her, her heart ached like it was being stabbed with needles.
When they got married, Leopold had torn up their marriage certificate copy, laughing as he said, "This way, you can never ask for a divorce, and we'll grow old together."
Now, the man who had made that promise was breaking it.
In less than thirty minutes, the divorce was finalized.
"The house is mine. Remember to move your things out when you get a chance." Leopold couldn't wait to leave, coldly dropping these words before turning to go.
Behind him, Lisbeth's hoarse whisper followed, "Fine. Just don't regret it when your memory returns someday."
Regret? Impossible! Leopold scoffed, walking out without looking back.
Outside the courthouse, he wrapped his arms around Elora Foster's waist and lifted her up.
And Lisbeth stood on the other side of the glass doors, watching as the husband who once loved her deeply spun another woman around in circles.
Then, hand in hand, they walked to the parking spot where he retrieved a large bouquet of vibrant roses from the trunk.
"Lora, I'm finally free! I love you, and I'll protect you for the rest of my life! Will you marry me?"
In the dazzling sunlight, Leopold knelt on one knee, his smile bold and uninhibited. In his palm, a jewelry box held a sparkling diamond ring.
Several passersby stopped to applaud, shouting, "Say yes! Say yes!"
Watching the all-too-familiar scene unfold, Lisbeth could only find it darkly comical.
Leopold's impatience seemed ridiculous, and her own years of effort and perseverance even more so.
She let out a long breath, her heart now still, and turned to leave when her phone rang with a call from the hospital.
"Dennis Hearst's condition has rapidly deteriorated. We've done our best, but we can only buy him three months. If we can't find a suitable match for him soon..."
Lisbeth immediately panicked. "Wasn't his condition under control? How did it suddenly get worse?"
"Leukemia is a highly unpredictable malignant disease. Please notify the child's father to come in for compatibility testing as soon as possible."
The father? Lisbeth turned her head sharply, only to see Leopold slipping the ring onto Elora's finger before standing up to share a passionate kiss with her.
Lisbeth laughed bitterly, and as she laughed, tears streamed down her face.
He had called Dennis a bastard—how could he possibly care whether his son lived or died? Why would he ever agree to be tested as a donor?
"I understand. I'll hurry," she said, her voice hollow.
After hanging up, Lisbeth leaned against the wall and sank to the ground.
She squeezed her eyes shut, then dialed a number she hadn't contacted in years. "I'll agree to marry you. But only if you help me save Dennis!"

His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."

Heartbroken, Sable discovered Darrell having sex with his ex in their bed, while secretly transferring hundreds of thousands to support that woman.
Even worse was overhearing Darrell laugh to his friends: "She's useful—obedient, doesn't cause trouble, handles housework, and I can fuck her whenever I need relief. She's basically a live-in maid with benefits." He made crude thrusting gestures, sending his friends into laughter.

The mafia princess return
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The War God Alpha's Arranged Bride
Yet Alexander made his decision clear to the world: “Evelyn is the only woman I will ever marry.”
Invisible To Her Bully
My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate
My drunk stepfather remained indifferent, his weight suffocating, making it hard to breathe as my heart raced.
Suddenly, the door slammed open, and two figures burst in.
"Get off her!" a deafening roar echoed.
I didn't expect the twin brothers who'd bullied me at school to come charging in like gods to save me.
After my grandmother passed, I had to move in with my mom and stepdad, who treated me like a servant. I prayed every day for my 18th birthday to come, so l could leave and escape this broken home.
However, on my first day at my new school, l encountered the legendary twins everyone feared.
To make matters worse, the Moon Goddess revealed they were both my mates!
After helping me out with my stepdad, my twin mate cornered me, played with my hair, and whispered possessively, "You belong to us, our little mate..."
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.
Especially - Rule Number One - No Mates
When Draven meets Domonic, he knows that she is his mate, but Draven has no idea what a mate is, only that she has fallen in love with a shifter. An Alpha that will break her heart to make her leave. Promising herself, she will never forgive him, she disappears.
But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
Falling for my boyfriend's Navy brother
"What is wrong with me?
Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.
He’s my boyfirend’s brother.
This is Tyler’s family.
I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.

I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
