Introduction

On the eve of her eighteenth birthday, Bella decides to run away from the overprotective life that her pack has forced her to live. She gets thrown into a world that is much bigger than her when she is captured by hunters who use to weaponize her hybrid abilities.

She manages to escape only to fall into the territory of a brooding 1000-year-old exiled alpha who just happens to be her mate. He holds the key to unlocking her hybrid abilities but is reluctant to help her bring an end to the hunters. Despite their connection she decides to return to her pack. But a bond forged by the moon goddess herself can’t be broken so easily.

When war looms around the corner and Bella’s powers begin to consume her, she must turn to her mate who seems to be the only one who can heal her. Will they be able to bring an end to the hunters and maintain the balance or will it be too late?

After all history does have a funny way of repeating itself.

Chapter 1

There was always a way that a story would start. An intricate spin that was used to deliver every tale. And for this one we begin with a single rose. A delicate thing that started off as nothing more than a gentle breeze that birthed a hurricane.

And yet from that delicate piece of life there was said to have been numerous battles that would have been fought and lost. It was the Helena of Troy and the lost trident of its time and for it there were those who were willing to sacrifice and lose everything just to get the chance to hold it in their possession.

It was always the smallest things that people took the most for granted and yet it was also those smallest things that seemed to have the biggest effect on the sequence of historical events as well as the turning of the hands of time. It was never easy to be the one thing that everyone seemed to desire, the trophy at the end of the race. But for the flower Zan. It was going to be the very thing that was going to set our story in motion and allow the prophecy to run its course. Because the thing that everyone knows about prophecies is the fact that you can never run from them. It doesn’t matter how long it takes you. It always ends up catching up to you in the end.

The Zan flower was said to be the source the greatest force that the universe had ever seen it had been born from the forbidden love story of two people who had been bound to never meet. Eons ago the universe was born from a catastrophic ball of light that seemed to swallow and consume everything that was in its path.it was seen as the ray which had been able to consume the darkness which had once been the only thing which previously occupied the planes.

From that light, galaxies and stars were born and it woke beings which had once been dormant through time. These beings were known as celestials as they were said to be the houses of large amounts of energy. They were gifted, strange and unique abilities by the light and they were mostly able to manipulate the light to their whim.

That was all except the king of the darkness himself, Sefan. He had been seen as an outcast amongst the celestials and from him it had been said that death had been born. He hadn’t been present before the Celestials came to light, but in fact he had been forged from the remains of the darkness that surrounded the realm.

He didn’t heal or create. Rather he destroyed and ruined the things that were left in his wake because of that he was seen as an outcast, he was shunned out by the other celestials who seemed to continue to treat him as a monster. The only person who still treated him as family and looked towards him as a good person was Selene.

She had always seen him as a good friend and he was like a brother to her. She tried to look out for him and although the others kept them out of their affairs. She was determined to involve him in everything that she did. He felt as though she was doing it out of pity and for one absolutely hated that. He didn’t want to be seen as weak.

He had stopped trying to be a slave to the light a long time ago and even as he watched the others build worlds and create slaves he wasn’t interested in using anything that the light had to offer him.

He was convinced that the darkness which had birthed him was still out there somewhere and so he was determined to go on a search in order to find it. He looked through the vast expanses of space and just when he had thought that all hope was lost he stumbled upon it. Deep within the abyss, a single flower that was surrounded by all the chaos and the madness.

He didn’t know what it was about it but as he had picked it up he had felt a large surge if energy went through him. He didn’t know what it was but the flower was about to be the very thing that would change the hands of time and ultimately change his position amongst the celestials. It was time for a new order and this time he would be on top.

The Zan flower was the only one of its kind. Although it was nestled deep within the darkness it was capable of doing great good, Sefan had seen that the space around the flower was bathed in light. As he spent more time in the darkness his need for revenge only grew stronger. He was determined to extract the power that was contained within the flower and gathered an army of worthy slaves that were willing to serve him.

He had barged into the celestial realm and taken siege of it. With the power of the flower he was able to bring the realm to its knees. The Celestials with Marr at their lead were finally able to bring an end to him as he was banished to the abyss and was promised to never be seen again.

The question remained of what would be done with the flower and the Celestials decided that it was best to send it to Earth where it was to be kept hidden in plain sight under the protection of the werewolves. Selene placed it in such a way that in order for one to get access to the flower they must pass obstacles of mental and physical strength and only one who is worthy will be able to make it out alive. And so the prophecy was woven.

Only two halves of a pure soul will be able to unlock the power it holds within.

My parents wouldn't even look at me. "This is your fault! None of this would've happened if it weren't for you!"

"Get downstairs and apologize to your sister. If you can't, pack your things and get out."

"I'm afraid that's impossible."

Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
