Introduction

My aunt was terrified I'd end up with a human. So she arranged a marriage herself.

The groom? Kael Voss. Alpha heir to the most powerful pack on the East Coast.

I had a Moonstone Mate Necklace custom-made for the occasion. Global commission. A hundred and eighty thousand dollars.

The day I went to pick it up, it was snatched right out of my hands.

The woman who took it? Chloe Hart. Kael's so-called childhood best friend.

She looked me up and down like I was a stray dog that had wandered in off the street.

"A hundred and eighty grand? Sweetheart, you can't even afford the tax."

Then she told me to get on my knees. Right there, in front of the whole store. Scream three times, "I'm a worthless stray Omega and I know my place."

I didn't kneel.

I threw her own words right back in her face and put her on the floor with one kick.

That's when Kael walked in. My fiancé. The man I'd never met until that very moment.

And damn... he was gorgeous.

I'll be honest, I'm shallow. Always have been. That face hit every single thing on my list.

So I walked right up to him, gave him my sweetest smile, and said, "Hi. I'm Judy. Your fiancée."

Chapter 1

My aunt raised me in Europe, far away from the bloodline politics of the States.

She was absolutely terrified I’d end up marrying a weak human.

So, she took matters into her own hands.

She arranged a destiny mate contract for me within the elite East Coast Pack circles.

My supposed match? Kael Voss.

He was the newly minted Alpha heir, the most eligible bachelor in the territory.

Today, I walked into the city’s most exclusive Pack luxury boutique.

I was only here for one thing.

The Moonstone Mate Necklace.

It was a global custom piece.

In our world, it was the ultimate physical symbol of a destined mate contract.

I finally held the velvet box in my hands.

The rare stone pulsed faintly, humming against my skin with ancient lunar energy.

Suddenly, a wave of suffocating, sickeningly sweet perfume invaded my nose.

It completely masked the natural scent of the boutique.

A hand shot out from behind me.

It snatched the necklace right out of my grip.

I turned to see a she-wolf glaring down at the jewelry.

She didn't even bother to look at my face.

"This design isn't bad," she ordered the clerk.

"Bring it to my fitting room right now."

The clerk immediately scrambled over, practically ripping the velvet box from my fingers.

"Excuse me," I said, my voice dangerously even.

"I was holding that. First come, first served."

I crossed my arms. "Are we throwing basic pack manners out the window?"

The she-wolf finally turned her head.

Her eyes raked over my simple, comfortable clothes with pure disgust.

"First come?" She scoffed loudly.

"This necklace is a hundred and eighty thousand dollars."

She sneered. "Can a stray, nameless Omega like you even afford the tax?"

She flipped her hair, letting her scent spike aggressively to intimidate me.

"I am Chloe Hart," she announced.

She spoke loud enough to make sure the entire store heard her.

"I am Kael Voss's childhood friend and the Pack's recognized future Alpha female."

She took a step closer, her smirk widening.

"In this city, the only 'rules' are the ones the Voss family sets!"

I stared at her for a second.

What a massive coincidence.

Kael Voss? Wasn't that the exact Alpha I was here to marry?

I didn't bother arguing with her.

I just pulled out my phone and dialed the private number my aunt had given me.

He answered on the second ring.

"Your she-wolf is currently robbing your fiancée of her engagement necklace," I said directly.

"How do you plan to handle this?"

Dead silence hung on the other end of the line.

I expected an apology, or at least some confusion.

Instead, a voice as cold as ice ground out against my ear.

"Who the hell is this?" Kael snapped.

"What gives you the right to stick your nose into my private business?"

Before I could even say my name, the line went dead.

Click.

He hung up on me.

I stared at the screen. The absolute audacity of this Alpha.

Chloe burst into sharp, mocking laughter.

"You actually thought you could fake a phone call to Kael?" she sneered.

She clutched her stomach as if it was the funniest joke in the world.

"You aren't even in his contacts, you delusional bitch!"

She pointed a manicured finger at me.

"Calling yourself his fiancée? You really are insane."

She looked me up and down again, her lip curling in disgust.

"The janitors cleaning the Voss enterprise bathrooms dress better than you do."

I usually prefer comfort over flashing expensive designer labels.

I never thought my casual clothes would be used as a weapon to humiliate me.

I didn't waste my breath on a comeback.

I simply walked straight past her to the cash register.

"Ring it up," I told the clerk.

The clerk froze, looking terrified.

She glanced nervously between me and Chloe, her hands shaking.

Chloe’s smirk turned vicious.

She marched over and slammed a card onto the glass counter.

A black-gold Pack VIP card.

"That card requires a one million dollar deposit just to open," Chloe bragged.

Her voice echoed in the quiet store.

"You broke stray! Know your damn place and stop pretending!"

The boutique was filled with other elite Pack members.

The whispers started immediately.

"Just apologize to her," a beta she-wolf hissed at me from the sidelines.

"That's Chloe Hart. She isn't someone you can mess with."

"The Voss family backs her every move," an older werewolf muttered.

"The last person who offended her had their entire business network destroyed by the Pack."

"They went bankrupt overnight!"

"Just beg for mercy! You’re a stray Omega, you can't fight the Voss family!"

The fear in the room was palpable.

Every single warning only fed Chloe’s massive ego.

She strutted over to me, her chin raised high.

She invaded my personal space, her heavy perfume choking the air.

She looked down her nose at me, her eyes filled with venomous glee.

"Hear that, stray?" she whispered maliciously.

"Now, get down on your knees."

She pointed at the floor right in front of her designer heels.

"Right here. In front of everyone."

She crossed her arms, her aura pressing down heavily.

"Scream three times: 'I am an unqualified stray Omega, and I know my wrongs.'"

Her lips curled into a wicked, triumphant smile.

"Do that, and I might just consider letting you walk out of here alive."

"White wolf! Kill that monster!"
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé.
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
