Introduction
Until the day my sister sent me a housekeeper.
He slipped on a collar without hesitation and pressed the leash into my palm.
"Master."
"I belong to you."
And just like that, everything I'd fought to suppress came roaring back.
Chapter 1
Abigail's POV
My name was Abigail Rodriguez, and I was half-succubus.
My father was human, my mother was a purebred succubus.
This bloodline had left me caught between two worlds since childhood.
The succubus family looked down on me for not being pure enough, for not understanding the pleasure of indulging in desires. Human society was wary of someone like me, viewing me as an outsider.
Because I didn't want to be controlled by desire, I chose to follow my father's advice.
He once said that work was the most energy-consuming thing, even for a succubus.
As long as I kept working, I wouldn't have the time or energy to be controlled by instinctive desires.
So while my other siblings were drowning themselves in nightclubs and bars, lost in their desires, I chose to become a designer at an advertising company.
I read online that designer jobs at service companies are crazy demanding!
Succubus naturally had more energy than humans, so I didn't think it was a big deal. In fact, I thought it was perfect for me!
I was constantly pulling all-nighters, rushing projects on weekends, so busy I could only order takeout for meals.
And the results were significant.
My succubus nature was firmly suppressed, even my signature seductive aura became barely noticeable.
The only side effect was that my home completely turned into a disaster zone.
Takeout boxes piled up everywhere, clothes scattered on the sofa, a layer of dust covering the floor.
For the cleanliness-obsessed succubus race, this was absolutely shameful.
I contacted my sister Scarlett Rodriguez, who loved me the most in the family.
Although she thought I was wasting my life, not knowing how to enjoy it, she still introduced me to a capable housekeeper.
"Abigail, this housekeeper is very capable. Don't waste this opportunity, understand?"
That afternoon, the doorbell rang.
I dragged my exhausted body to answer it. Outside stood a tall, handsome man whose beautiful eyes left me dazzled.
Those eyes were slightly red, like bloodshot from staying up late, yet somehow revealed a suppressed longing.
"Miss Rodriguez, my name is Nicholas Jackson." His voice was deep and restrained.
I was stunned.
With looks like that, why would he be a housekeeper? Wouldn't being a celebrity pay better?
While I was spacing out, he suddenly leaned close to me, his hot breath falling on my neck, making my heart race.
Damn it.
Could this be a man Scarlett sent to seduce me!
I knew it—how could such a handsome guy just do housekeeping?
I couldn't help but take half a step back, only to be stopped by the door behind me.
His tall figure pressed closer.
That pleasant, masculine scent rushed over—different from the men on the street and the male models at the nightclub Scarlett tricked me into visiting once.
It was like cedarwood, mixed with something that made my heart flutter.
My long-suppressed instincts seemed to be awakening.
My tongue traced my lengthening fangs as I stared at Nicholas's very kissable lips.
He seemed to have smiled at me when he came in.
So he must be trying to seduce me!
I bit my lip and leaned in.
But in an instant, he turned to look inside the house, his Adam's apple bobbing as he asked, "Why is your face red? Didn't you need housekeeping? Where should I start cleaning?"
He was really a housekeeper?
He wasn't actually a male model my sister sent to tempt me!
Filled with improper thoughts, I ran back to my room in shame.
I was terrible.
How could I just assume someone was a male model!
I tried to calm my breathing, but the strange sensation at my tailbone still bothered me.
My tail felt like it was about to pop out!
After finishing two advertising concepts ahead of schedule in my room, I finally came out.
The living room was half-cleaned.
But Nicholas was nowhere to be seen.
Had he left?
Just as I was about to call and ask, Nicholas's voice came from the bathroom.
"Miss Rodriguez, sorry, I got my pants dirty earlier, so I'm borrowing your bathroom to take a shower. Don't worry, I'll clean it up."
A shower?
I was a succubus, after all—how could he seduce me like this!
Nicholas's voice interrupted my thoughts again.
He asked if I had disposable towels.
I hurriedly got him a towel.
Then the bathroom door opened a crack, and a slender hand with defined knuckles reached out, water droplets still on the arm.
Faint panting sounds came from inside the bathroom.
The housework must have really been exhausting—otherwise, why would he be this tired even taking a shower?
The messy thoughts in my head were instantly replaced by guilt.
"Don't worry, I'll pay you extra."
When he took the towel, his hand lightly brushed across my palm. "If you're paying extra, should I do extra work?"
I gasped, suddenly remembering I still had unfinished work!
Earlier, to stop myself from having wild thoughts, I'd finished the two urgent advertising proposals the company needed, then started preparing next week's proposals!
"I need to work. You can arrange your cleaning schedule however you want."
The bathroom seemed to fall silent for a long time.
I returned to my bedroom.
Overtime! Work!
The new proposal requirements weren't simple.
I had to write creative content for a major adult products brand.
Logically, as a succubus, this should have been easy for me, but unfortunately...
Before long, I was completely confused.
I was a disgrace to the succubus race.
I leaned back on the sofa, planning to rest before continuing work.
The bedroom door suddenly opened, and Nicholas walked in wearing only an apron and pants.
His defined collarbones and muscles were only partially covered by the apron.
"Miss Rodriguez, I'm going to start cleaning the bedroom now."
He held a cloth, wiped the wardrobe door, then walked over to me and suddenly crouched down to clean the back of the computer desk.
"Miss Rodriguez, excuse me."
He turned his body halfway, and I stared at his chest muscles almost pressing against me, suddenly exclaiming with delight. "Nicholas, you're perfect!"
Nicholas's gaze immediately became intense, and the strings of his apron mysteriously came untied.
I immediately helped Nicholas stand up, then pulled open the curtains and windows, letting sunlight shine on his muscles.
His expression changed slightly, but he quickly seemed to convince himself. "Miss Rodriguez, you like the windows open?"
I said happily, "This way I can see more clearly!"
Nicholas: "..."
Nicholas looked like he was okay with it.
I told him to stand still and show off his body.
And I continued working hard at my computer.
After twenty minutes, Nicholas seemed confused and asked, "Miss Rodriguez, aren't we starting?"
I said, "We already started!"
"Already started?"
He looked questioning, doubtful.
I confirmed, "Yes, you're modeling for me. I'm working on a proposal for an adult products store. I was struggling for inspiration, but luckily you came."
Thank goodness for Nicholas.
"You just wanted me to be a model?"
"Yes, you're doing great. I can pay you more!" I said seriously.

I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The War God Alpha's Arranged Bride

Still.

Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
