The Triplet Alpha's Sacrificial Mate
Salewa Funmilayo · Ongoing · 50.9k Words
Introduction
Nicholas's voice cut through the room like ice over steel.
Lilith obeyed because refusing meant her pack's destruction, her mother's death, everything becoming worthless.
His brothers watched with hungry eyes as he crouched between her thighs.
"This is what you are now," he said coldly.
"Payment. Property. A warm hole for us to fuck whenever we want."
"Welcome to your nightmare," he purred. "We hope you survive it."
She was sent to pay for sins that weren't hers.
Lilith's world shattered when her father's body came home in pieces....branded a traitor who'd betrayed the Blackwood Alpha.
Overnight, she went from Beta's daughter to omega. From protected to prey.
Then the Blackwood triplets sent their demand: thirty days as their property to pay for her father's crime.
Thirty days of being used however they see fit.
Thirty days of brutal punishments and degrading pleasures.
No safe words. No boundaries. No mercy.
But nothing about this arrangement is what it seems.
As the days pass, Lilith discovers the triplets are hiding dark secrets about the night her father really died.
About why they need her specifically. And the most terrifying discovery of all?
Her body is responding to them in ways that make her question everything.
The mate bond isn't supposed to work with three Alphas. It definitely isn't supposed to work with a wolfless omega. And it absolutely isn't supposed to feel this consuming, this inevitable, this right even when everything else is so brutally wrong.
They say they're punishing her. But what if they're claiming her?
TRIGGERS: Dark reverse harem romance with power imbalance, and morally grey Alphas who don't ask for consent. For readers who want brutal Alphas, forced proximity, and a heroine discovering she's more powerful than anyone imagined.....welcome to your new obsession.
Chapter 1
The smell hit them first.
Not the smell of death, though that was there too, underneath everything else. But the smell of fear. Sharp and acrid, hanging in the air like smoke, clinging to the crowd gathered in the town square.
Lilith felt her mother's hand tighten around hers.
"It's going to be okay," Cassandra whispered, but her voice shook. "He's coming home. That's what matters. He's coming home."
Lilith didn't answer.
Because she could see the wooden cart at the center of the square, surrounded by pack guards and onlookers, and she could see what was on it.
Body bags.
Multiple body bags.
Small ones.
"No," Cassandra breathed beside her.
They pushed through the crowd together. People moved aside when they saw them coming, the Beta's wife and daughter, still afforded that much respect at least. Still treated like they mattered.
For now.
Alpha Garrett stood beside the cart. Tall, broad-shouldered, his face carved from stone. He looked up when they stopped in front of him, and something moved in his eyes. Something dark and complicated that Lilith couldn't name.
"Cassandra" he said quietly. "Lilith."
"Where is he." Cassandra's voice was steady despite the way her hand was shaking in Lilith's grip. "You said Victor was coming home today. You said....."
"He is home." Garrett's jaw tightened. "What's left of him."
The world tilted.
Cassandra made a sound. Small and broken. Like something inside her had just cracked.
Lilith looked at the cart. At the body bags. There were five of them, she realized with growing horror. Five separate bags, all small, all.....
"No," she whispered.
"The hunters got to the meeting site before we could send reinforcements," Garrett said, his voice flat and emotionless in that particular way people speak when the emotions are too big to let out. "By the time our scouts arrived, everyone was dead. Torn apart. We did our best to...." He stopped. Looked at Cassandra. "We did our best to recover what we could."
Cassandra's knees buckled.
Lilith caught her before she hit the ground, her arms wrapping around her mother's waist, holding her upright.
"Mom....Mom, I've got you...."
"He's in there," Cassandra whispered, staring at the bags with wide, uncomprehending eyes. "Your dad is in there. In pieces. He's...." Her voice cracked completely. "He's in pieces."
"The Blackwoods," Lilith said, looking at Garrett over her mother's head. "They were supposed to be there. The treaty meeting. You said the Blackwood Alphas were going to be there to negotiate the alliance. Where were they? Why didn't they...."
"The Blackwoods weren't there," Garrett cut her off sharply.
Lilith felt ice slide down her spine. "What do you mean they weren't there."
"I mean they didn't show up." His voice was tight. Controlled. Too controlled. "Your father and the others went to the meeting site. The witches were there. The Blackwood representatives were supposed to arrive at dawn to finalize the alliance terms." He paused. "They never came. And four hours later, the hunters found the location and slaughtered everyone."
The words hung in the air.
"They knew," Lilith said slowly. "The Blackwoods knew the hunters were coming. That's why they didn't....."
"Watch your mouth," Garrett snapped, his voice cracking like a whip. "That kind of talk will get you killed, girl. Do you understand me? Killed."
Cassandra wasn't listening to any of it.
She was staring at the body bags, her whole body starting to shake, her breathing coming faster and faster.
"Victor," she whispered. "Oh god. Oh god, Victor..."
"Mom...."
"They cut him apart."Cassandra's voice rose, hysteria bleeding through. "They cut my mate apart and put him in bags like he was....like he was nothing....."
"Cassandra." Garrett's voice was firm now. Almost gentle. "You need to calm down."
"Calm down?" She looked at him with wild eyes. "My mate is in pieces on that cart and you're telling me to calm down?"
"The pack is watching," Garrett said quietly. "You need to...."
"I don't care about the pack!" Cassandra's voice cracked completely. "I don't care about anything except the fact that my mate is dead and you're standing there telling me to calm down like this is....like this is...."
She stopped.
Her eyes went unfocused.
"Mom?" Lilith's grip tightened. "Mom, what...."
Cassandra's hand went to her chest. To her heart.
"It's gone," she whispered. "The bond. I can't....I can't feel him anymore. He's really...." Her eyes rolled back. "He's really gone."
She collapsed.
Lilith barely managed to lower her to the ground instead of letting her fall. "Mom! Mom, can you hear me?"
Cassandra didn't respond. Her eyes were closed, her face sheet-white, her breathing shallow and rapid.
"Get the pack doctor," Garrett barked at one of the guards. "Now!"
The crowd murmured around them. Whispers spreading like wildfire.
The Beta's wife fainted. The mate bond broke her. She can't even stand to look at what's left of him.
Lilith knelt on the ground with her mother's head in her lap and tried very hard not to fall apart herself.
The pack doctor arrived within minutes....a thin, severe-looking woman named Dr. Reeves. She knelt beside Cassandra, checked her pulse, her eyes, her breathing.
"Mate bond shock," she said shortly. "Combined with emotional trauma. She needs to be taken to the pack hospital immediately."
Two warriors moved forward without being asked, lifting Cassandra's limp body with practiced efficiency.
"Wait..." Lilith started to stand. "I'm coming with her..."
"No." Garrett's hand landed on her shoulder. "You're staying here."
She looked at him. "That's my mother....."
"And there are things we need to discuss." His voice was hard now. All traces of sympathy gone. "Things that can't wait."
The warriors were already carrying Cassandra toward the medical building on the far side of the square. Lilith watched them go, her mother's body limp and lifeless in their arms.
"She'll be taken care of," Garrett said. "The pack doctors will do everything they can."
Lilith turned back to him slowly.
There was something in his voice. Something that made her stomach drop.
"What things," she said quietly.
Garrett looked at her for a long moment. Then he looked at the crowd still gathered around them, watching, listening to every word.
"The pack council met this morning," he said. Loud enough for everyone to hear. Official. "We've made a decision regarding your family's status."
Lilith went very still.
"Your father has been branded a traitor," Garrett continued, his voice flat and emotionless. "Evidence has been presented to the council showing that Victor leaked the meeting location to the hunters. That he betrayed not only our pack, but also our allies. That his actions directly led to the death of the Blackwood Alpha and everyone else at that meeting site."
"That's a lie," Lilith said. Her voice came out barely above a whisper. "My father would never...."
"The Blackwoods have provided proof," Garrett said over her. "Documents. Communication records. Testimony from their scouts." He paused. "The evidence is conclusive."
"It's fabricated...."
"It doesn't matter if it's fabricated!" Garrett's control cracked for just a second, frustration bleeding through. "Don't you understand? The Blackwood triplets believe your father betrayed them. They believe Victor got their father killed. And they want blood for it."
The crowd was completely silent now. Everyone watching. Everyone listening.
Lilith felt their eyes on her like physical weight.
"The council's decision is final," Garrett said. "Effective immediately, you and your mother are stripped of your Beta family status. You are no longer recognized as Victor's daughter in any official capacity." He paused. "You are demoted to omega."
