Their Obsession: Wanting Lucy
Mystic Garden · Ongoing · 58.7k Words
Introduction
“If I can't have you, neither will they. It's as simple as that…”
“My brothers have always had everything they wanted. I can't let them have you too…”
“Choosing me is the safest option. For one, I won't ever put you through hell…”
Growing up with an extremely abusive Father, Lucy never experienced care, love, support and attention.
But then everything changed in a blink of an eye and now she has four Mafia brothers vying for her attention, willing to kill for her, putting everything they have on the line for her.
Chapter 1
“How dare you try to stop me, you ungrateful bitch?!”
That voice. That yell. The dangerous anger behind it made Lucy abruptly halt in her tracks.
She knew the voice. It was her Father's. And the low whimpering, shushed voice in the background of that chaos was her mother's.
Tears welled up in Lucy's eyes as she stared at her house. Going inside would mean being on the receiving end of her Father's abuse too.
She's been receiving it since she was five. Lucy wasn't sure if it began earlier, but as far as her memory went, he began hurting her when she was five.
One time, he smacked her face so hard that he made her lose two teeth forcefully. It was one hell of an excruciating pain for a five-year-old.
She recalled crying every night and her mother would hold her convulsing body so tightly.
And from then on, it got worse. She got punched, hit with a belt, stomped on, and had her hair yanked so bad. All by her Father.
She couldn't hate him back then. Because her Mother would always make excuses for him.
He has a gambling problem, Lucy. He's not in his right senses, but that doesn't mean he hates us.
Learn to understand your father, Lucy. He's not great at handling his anger.
Countless excuses for a wretched beast who thrived on humiliating and punishing his family.
Lucy was appalled whenever she remembered all those dumb excuses. Even worse, when she realized how weak her mother was.
Stockholm syndrome, Lucy concluded. That had to be her mother's problem. Because why else would she wanna stay with a man like her Father?
Why else was she okay with being turned into a punching bag for over a decade?
Why else does she insist that she loved a man who'd crush her in a breath?
“You're still talking?!” Her Father barked and then the female whimpering increased by a notch.
Lucy dried her tears harshly and willed herself to walk into the house. If she stayed outside, her Father might just end up killing her mother tonight and that would be the most irreparable pain she'd have to deal with.
“I'm begging you, Mark. Don't take the last savings I have.” Her mother was on the floor, bleeding from her nose and mouth, whilst holding his leg and begging.
Her Father kicked her hand and snorted. “What belongs to you also belongs to me. You should already know that by now.”
“Yes, of course I've known that for so long. And I've never held anything from you. Back when you took all the money I got from my parents' little building that I sold. Or when you gambled away Lucy's college tuition fee and now she's stuck juggling part-time jobs. I never blamed you for it. I never got angry…”
Lucy wiped at the flood of tears rolling down her face as she listened to her mother's heart-wrenching confession.
“...but this is different, Mark. I need this money. I'm…I'm sick.”
“I don't care if you're dead and buried. I'll never care about that.”
“I’m not asking you to care. But I need to stay alive for Lucy. I'm the only reason she's yet to break down from all the toxicity she's faced from this family. Please, don't take me away from my daughter. Give me back the money. I need to get treated.”
“Get your hand off my leg, woman!!” Her Father growled, kicking her hand off. He put the money deep into his pocket with a satisfied and wicked grin.
“That's enough, Father!” Lucy finally stepped forward, standing in front of her Father.
The man's face twisted in disgust. And also anger.
“What the hell did you just say to me, you little tramp?!”
“I said, that's enough,” Lucy repeated. Her voice had dropped a notch now, but she still sounded firm.
She felt her Mother's weak hands reaching for hers, but she ignored them.
“Are you out of your mind?” Her Father asked in a brewing anger. “Or do you want me to give you a face reconstruction?”
Lucy inhaled a shaky breath. “Go ahead, Father. I dare you. But know this, once your hand touches my face, I'll go straight to the police and report you.”
The threat was already out of her lips before she realized how heavy it was. And she immediately regretted saying it. But it was too late, she couldn't take it back.
Her Father had already become rigid, turning into a whole different monster.
Lucy's legs shook terribly. His fists were tight and she knew what was coming.
A punch. A lethal punch that'd make her head spin and leave her out of breath.
But to her shock, something else came. The chaotic ringtone from her Father's phone.
He picked it up, keeping his enraged eyes on her.
“What is it?” He replied harshly into the phone.
Lucy was distracted, as she glanced at her whimpering Mother who was still squirming on the floor.
When she looked at her Father again, the man looked pale and distorted.
“What did you just say?!” He yelled, running out of the house like his ass was on fire.
Lucy watched his abrupt exit with a curious but grateful heart.
“Lucy, dear. Why did you do that?” Her mother sobbed.
Lucy crouched next to her, hugging her so tightly. “We need to get away from him, Mother. Or he might kill you. And if that happens…if that happens…”
Tears wouldn't let her finish. She hugged her mother tightly again, as they both bawled their eyes out.
That night, her Father didn't return to the house. For the next three days, there wasn't any sign of him.
Lucy wasn't worried. She was more relieved. Her mother's new bruises were healing. If her Father were here, they wouldn't heal. He wouldn't let them heal.
Clocking out work by 7 pm, Lucy shopped for some groceries.
She came home at exactly 9 p.m., exhausted. She pushed the door open, walking inside.
The living room light was turned off. Weird. They never turn it off.
“Mother?”
Lucy took off her jacket, as she waited for her mother's reply.
When none came, it aroused a little fear inside her. She headed to the kitchen with her bag of groceries.
“Mum?!”
The kitchen light was turned off too. Lucy searched for the switch and turned it on.
She gasped at the sight of three buff men, leaning against the kitchen table and counter.
Her mother was tied to a chair, gagged.
“Mo…mother?” She took a step but one of the men stood in front of her mother, pinning a dagger to her Mother's neck, as if warning Lucy not to come an inch close.
Lucy had already dropped her bag of groceries in shock. Now her trembling hands were fisting her dress, while she fought back her tears.
“Who…who are you guys?”
The heavy footsteps behind her made her turn around. It was a man, one she's never seen before.
“We were waiting for you, Lucy Davis.” The man said with a cocky grin.

“Prince? Dickhead? Asshole? Or stalker?” A slow, dangerous smile curved his lips. “Maybe I should show you the one title I want you to use.” Before I could react, his hand closed around my chin, tilting my face up. His lips crashed into mine, hard, claiming, breath-stealing. When he finally pulled back, his voice was a rough whisper against my lips. “You could call me yours… because you are mine.”
They'll Regret This
My fiancé didn't just dump me—he proposed to her that same night. My so-called family handed me bus fare and a one-way ticket to the countryside.
Perfect. Let them think they won.
They don't know who I really am. The anonymous genius surgeon who saves lives when elite hospitals give up. The legendary artist whose paintings sell for millions at auction. The undefeated shadow queen of the underground fighting circuit. And the true heiress to a fortune that makes theirs look like pocket change.
Now my ex-fiancé begs on his knees. My fake sister's jealousy is eating her alive. And that cold, arrogant CEO who once threw our engagement contract in my face? He's hunting me down like a man possessed, desperate for one more chance.
They threw me away like trash to upgrade their lives.
Joke's on them.
I was always the upgrade.
Let Them Kneel
Cast out by her pack. Forgotten by the Lycans.
She lived among humans—quiet, invisible, tucked away in a town no one looked at twice.

Her body ignites. Her instincts scream. And something primal stirs beneath her skin—

When he claims her, it’s ecstasy and ruin.
For the first time, she believes she’s been accepted.
Seen.
Chosen.
Until he leaves her the next morning—

But Kaelani is not what they thought.
Not wolfless. Not weak.
There is something ancient inside her. Something powerful. And it’s waking.
And when it does—
they’ll all remember the girl they tried to erase.
Especially him.
She’ll be the dream he keeps chasing… the one thing that ever made him feel alive.
Because secrets never stay buried.
And neither do dreams.
King of the Underworld
However, one fateful day, the King of the Underworld appeared before me and rescued me from the clutches of the most powerful Mafia boss's son. With his deep blue eyes fixed on mine, he spoke softly: "Sephie... short for Persephone... Queen of the Underworld. At last, I have found you." Confused by his words, I stammered out a question, “P..pardon? What does that mean?”
But he simply smiled at me and brushed my hair away from my face with gentle fingers: "You are safe now.”
Sephie, named for the Queen of the Underworld, Persephone, she's quickly finding out how she's destined to fulfill her namesake's role. Adrik is the King of the Underworld, the boss of all bosses in the city he runs.
She was a seemingly normal girl, with a normal job until it all changed one night when he walked through the front door and her life changed abruptly. Now, she finds herself on the wrong side of powerful men, but under the protection of the most powerful among them.
Reborn To Rule: I Will Seize The Throne!
He paused, his gaze never leaving mine.
"And I don't share what's mine."

I died on my son's death anniversary, betrayed by the man I'd devoted my entire life to, and the woman who stood by, smiling as I took my last breath… was my very own sister.
When I opened my eyes again, I was five years in the past—before the betrayal, before my death and before the beginning of it all.
This time, I refused to marry the man who destroyed me.
Instead, I walked straight into the arms of the only man the entire Empire feared—Crown Prince Alpha Rhaedon Ashkaar.
Rhaedon was everything Lucien wasn't.
Dangerous. Competent. Powerful.
And the perfect weapon for my revenge.
He wanted the throne. I wanted vengeance.
It should have been the perfect alliance, but revenge was never that simple.
With every step I took toward my revenge, another secret from my first life came to light. The deeper I dug, the more I realized I wasn't the only one playing this game.
And by the time I uncovered the truth...
Walking away from Rhaedon Ashkaar was no longer an option.

The Contract Wife: Marriage Of Malice
He didn't finish. He didn't need to.
I didn't tell him to stop.
Instead, my fingers curled into his shirt, clutching the fabric as though it was my only anchor. Something in him snapped—something he had been holding back for too long. His mouth found mine in a kiss that wasn't tender, but hungry, desperate.
I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.
Ella never imagined she would marry the man she had secretly loved for years in such a way.
When her brother Theo faced twenty-five years in prison for massive embezzlement, the ruthless business tycoon James Lancaster offered her a deal: marry him in exchange for her brother's freedom.
This wasn't a fairy tale proposal, but a carefully orchestrated revenge. Because in James's heart, Ella was the culprit who had killed his sister Cecilia. He wanted her to pay the price—to atone with a lifetime of suffering.
From Sacrificed Slave to the Dragon King's Obsession
His fangs glinted as he gripped my chin, forcing me to meet his gaze. Dragon scales shimmered along his neck, breath scorching my skin.
"Your Majesty... I beg—" He shoved me onto the bed. Silk tore with a sharp rip, cold air rushing over my exposed body.
"Scared?" He smirked, palm sliding down my waist, fingers tracing slow, burning circles. "Yet you shiver... not from cold."
I lunged for the candlestick, but he caught my wrist, pinning it overhead. His knee forced my legs apart.
"When your father gave you to me," his lips brushed my ear, voice a dark rumble, "you were already mine."
On the eve of freedom after ten years of servitude, Lina Valeria stood one night away from reuniting with her betrothed. But Dragon King Augustus condemned her to the Abyss Mines on false charges—a trap forged from obsessive desire.
Augustus Ashenwing, Supreme Sovereign of Skyhold Citadel, is ruthless and feared by all races. His obsession stems from ancient grudges and dragonkind's most dangerous instinct: possessive desire. He demands her submission, binding her to his throne as his consort.
From prisoner to queen, Lina battles him through court intrigue and twisted passion—fighting for her mother, her freedom, her dignity.
Yet this cold-blooded tyrant reserves all tenderness for her alone. He indulges her temper, bends his pride, compromises without limit—anything to see her smile. Gradually, her heart wavers. But loving him means betraying Kain, who waited eleven years. Torn between duty and desire, she drowns in agonizing guilt.
Love and hatred intertwined—a forbidden dragon romance in a realm of oppression.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
