Introduction
"Why?" I question, pressing my thighs tightly together. Why do I feel so tingly down there...?
"Because I said so." He growls. Shit, he looks angry.
I hastily stand up and slowly walk over to him. My legs work so slow from beneath ,e that I almost feel as though I am being dragged across the room. My heart is yearning to be close to him but my mind is telling m to run for the hills. Why does every moment we share have to be so...heated?
When I am no more but just a few centimetres away from him, his hand grabs the side of my hip and yanks me forward. I gasp and found myself being held between his legs. "Ian?" I say in a small voice.
Chapter 1
Another day of school, another day of complete hell! However, I keep moving...I'm on a roller coaster that only goes up, but sometimes it doesn't always feel that way...for me. I guess it's not much of a big deal, it's just school. A teenager's routine which every teenager is tested, just to see if they can survive it.
I get the bus to school despite my pissed off mood to the fact that two buses before refused to stop for me. Which didn't really help, considering it was winter. Very nice. Very nice. It wouldn't be such a big deal if it was summer but the fact it is winter, it really pissed me off.
I reach my stop and immediately barge, desperate to get off this crowded bus of lunatics and ignorant people who don't know how to say, 'excuse me'.
I pulled my black hoodie over my head and kept my eyes on the ground, my arms crossed as I made my way round the street corner which led to the main entrance of my school. People always looked at me as if I was some freak. 'Fuck them all' I just kept on repeating over and over in my head. Why should I give a shit about any of them, no one gives a shit about me!
I made it through the school gates and passed a small group of boys standing by the entrance on the way. They all glanced over to me as if I wasn't human. What a load of hypocrites, I thought. I kept on walking, my earphones in my ears blaring loudly. I looked up at the sky as the music flowed through my mind, rocking my ears like mad.
I walk straight through reception and passed the lady at the desk who types away at some document on her computer. I rolled my eyes, she always displayed such a dirty look upon her face, no woman could be as nasty and rude as that reception woman. My iPhone automatically flicked onto the next song which was 'CrushCrushCrush' by Paramore. I began nodding along to the song as I continued to walk slowly down the corridor, leading out of reception.
I passed coupes Art classrooms on my way. I reached the next corner and come to a three-way choice direction. One to my left which led down to the Maths block which also beheld the I.T, Textiles and Business classrooms. To the front of me there was the door which led to the outside grounds, for example, the AstroTurf and the field, including benches where everyone hung out. Last but not least, to my right there led to the English classrooms.
I didn't want to go left to the Maths block to be moaned at and told off about my earphones again by none other than my Maths teacher, Mr Kraye. Nor did I want to go straight ahead where I had to face all those two face arseholes who I call friends. So instead...I went right. The English block.
I kept my eyes all the ground, watching every step I took down the English corridor. My black hoodie remained zipped and over my head, my earphones blaring loud, rocking music. I passed about seven classes as I continued down the corridor. On my way, I eyes the English Faculty which this the office of the block, except no teachers were in there this morning which was quite unusual. I yanked up the zipper of my hoodie, making sure it was fully covering my neck. I was so self-cautious about the bruise that sat where my neck and shoulders joined.
I breathed in deeply me kept on walking down the corridor, passing another five English classrooms. I glanced in through every door window of every classroom I passed. In some, there were English teachers which sag at their desks either typing away on their computers and writing something and marking students’ exams. Other classrooms were empty with lights off me the doors locked.
As I continued to walk down, leading to the end door of the corridor and a staircase to my left, I noticed a classroom door which had been left wide open and the lights on, but no teacher sat at the desk. I didn't think nothing of it though, I didn't really care. I wasn't in the mood to carry on walking and face all the arseholes hanging around outside chatting in groups. Instead, I turned towards the staircase on my left and sat down the second step.
I pulled my iPhone out to check the time, 7:45. I always turn up early, don't know why. Just do. I sighed and slipped my iPhone back into the pocket of my hoodie. I sat there for a while, my head against the railings of the stairs and my arms holding my legs tightly against my chest. I could have easily fallen asleep right then and there but with the loud music blaring out of my earphones, there was no chance. Which I was grateful for.
Every second was like a century being at school and waiting for the day to end. As I sat here on this staircase with my eyes closed and completely devoted to the faraway world of my blaring music...the time flew by. Except for one annoying interruption.
Suddenly, out of nowhere I felt someone pull one of my earphones out of my right ear. I opened my eyes and shot my head up from the railings. A teacher stood, towering over me and eyeing my hoodie. Mr Gates. I sigh and roll my eyes at him. "What's with the hoodie, Alice?" I huff and take my earphone that was now hanging to my side. "Alice? Alice, you either take the hoodie off right now and put it in your bag or I'm confiscating it." I shrugged, "I don't carry a bag."
"And why not?" He questioned, as he gripped his pathetic walkie talkie in his hand.
"Because I choose not to, that's why." I snap in annoyance as I plug my earphone back into my ear.
Once I did that, he pulled it back out. "That's it, young lady, give me the earphones. I've had enough." I shoot him a dirty look, "Why are you touching me for? You can't touch me!"
"I did not touch you, Alice. That is a false accusation. I took your ear plug out because your being very ignorant and rude right now, you shouldn't have them in school in the first place and you know that. So, hand the hoodie over to me, now. And the earphones."
I didn't respond so he kept on interrogating me. As far as what I was concerned, I had drifted off into a world of my own. I sighed and took my earphone once again, plugging it back into my ear. As I remained sat there, music blaring into my ears and Mr Gates chatting nothing but shit, I noticed a teacher walk over to the open doorways of the classroom of which I noticed from earlier had been left wide open and all the lights left on. The teacher was about to walk into the classroom and shut the door, but he turned to me and Mr Gates. I guessed he could obviously hear Mr Gates shouting at me about my earphones and hoodie.
The teacher's eyes met mine. I didn't once look up at Mr Gates who towered over me. I focused on this random teacher who I had never seen before. He had dark brown hair, brown eyes and tasty looking lips. Once I set eyes on his handsome features, I found him irresistible, the urge to press my lips to his neck grew on me. He stood there in a black suite, and black tie. God, he was so handsome. He looked young, really young. Most of all the teachers here were like in their late thirties. I guess there were some drama teachers that were quite young but not as nearly good looking as him.
Suddenly, for the third time I had my earphone pulled out yet again by Mr Gates. I lost it then, I groaned and shot up to my feet. "Fuck off!"
"That's it, young lady. Head of year, NOW!" He yelled. I shook my head coolly and crossed my arms in refusal, "I don't think so." I scoffed in humour.
"It's either that or BIP!" BIP was the behaviour unit where people like me went if we couldn't control our behaviour, which to be quite honest was a load of shit.
"N.O... spells no." I sang, looking up at the ceiling,
Mr Gates breathed impatiently. Before he could respond, the teacher who stood by the classroom door began to walk over to us. God, he was so unbearably good-looking. "Can I help?" He asked politely.
Mr Gates looked over to him and back to me, "Just a student who is making the choose to be rude and anti-social towards a teacher." He replied formally. I rolled my eyes and groaned in response. "I didn't even do anything!"
The teacher who was so good-looking then turned towards me and spoke. "You are?"
"Alice." I said with attitude. He smiled, "Alice what?"
"Alice Copper."
"What form are you?" His eyes held curiosity. I leaned against the railings of the staircase, "Holly." I replied.
"Well, Alice...it looks like I'm going to be seeing a lot more of you." His smile widened as he looked deep into my eyes. God, those eyes. It was like they burned wholes into my skin. "Why's that?" I asked, my arms remained crossed and he laughed.
"I have you for English."
"Er...no you don't." I creased my eyebrows in confusion. He nodded, "Yes, I do. I'm your replacement teacher." Then that's when I remembered. My old English teacher has left. How could I forget something like that? Must be because I never paid attention in class, I always sit during lessons with my earphones in.
"Your teacher has left to work at another school." He explained. "Oh." I responded. He nodded. Mr Gates glanced down at his watch and sighed heavily. "I suggest, you give me the hoodie, Alice." I shook my head and looked back over to the other Sir who looked at me with such intensity. "It's ok, Sir. I'll deal with this."
"Really?" He responded in surprise. The teacher nodded, "Of course. You can go to your meeting; I'll deal with Alice."
Mr Gates nodded and mouthed a thank you as if he didn't want me to hear. He shot me a nasty look and disappears around the corner.
The handsome teacher now stood in front of me, we were the same height as I was stood on the second step of the stairs. "You know, you shouldn't give teachers a reason to moan at you."
"And you shouldn't stick your nose into where it's not wanted." I snapped back.
"Well, you better get used to it, Alice. Because I'm going to be teaching you English for the next two years." I huffed and stared at the wall. "Lucky for you, Alice I am not going to report you for your hoodie or your earphones. Can I at least ask you to take them out
for now? It would save yourself a lot of trouble."
"Fine." I groaned. He smiled, "Thank you." I pulled the earphones from my ears and tucked them into my hoodie pocket. "I would turn the phone off as well if I were you. I don't want that going off during my lesson." He added.
What the hell? How did he know I was playing it on my phone? He was a fucking creep. I looked at him then and pulled my iPhone out between us as he came a little closer, making sure I turned it off. The logo came up and the screen became black. "Thank you, Miss Copper." He spoke as he watched me slip it back into my hoodie pocket. I huffed and pulled the hood over my head, hiding my face from his so intense eyes. "See ya." I muttered and barged passed him.
I could still feel his eyes on me as I continued down the corridor, but I didn't once look back. If I did, I just might faint right then and there on the spot. Once I reached the end door which led to outside, I was all too desperate to push it open.
Once the cold winter air hit my face, I let out a gust of air. Had I been holding all that in all that time? Obviously, I hadn't but that was the affect the teacher had on me. He didn't even introduce himself to me. He knew me now, though. That's for sure. It was as if he was going to be keeping a close eye on me from now on after that scene Mr Gates had created. All the same, just another teacher, another pain in the ass.
