Unwanted and Unloved by alpha Kane

      Summer walked down the stairs that led her to the ballroom. She searched the crowd for him she knew he was here she could smell his sweet scent. She spotted him talking to a group of men. She stopped in her tacks. She took a deep breath and started walking again.He stood out from them for he was younger then them but he reeked of pure power. He was the king of alphas and was to be respected.

Even if you didn’t know who he was you knew he was to be respected and feared. He gave off the aura of dominance and power. Summer stopped at the bottom of the steps not taking her eyes off him.

Kane looked the same as he did five years ago. His deep blue eyes were still the most beautiful eyes she’d ever seen in her life. They remind her of the ocean they use to swim in.The water was so clear you could see the bottom.. His skin was still a deep tan that showed the hours he spent outside and he was nothing but muscle from all the training he did to teach our men how to fight and defend our people.

She went to leave but stopped when he looked over at her and their eyes met. She felt sparks flow through her. She stood there frozen in place as he walked up to her, his eyes never leaving hers. Her heart was pounding so loud she thought that the whole world could hear it. He was looking at her as if he was scared that if he blinked she’d be gone.

When he finally got to her she was ready to run away. All her nerves were jumping. He had a smile on his face it was as if knew her heart was about to explode. She bowed her head out of respect for him since he was her king. Summer knew by coming here he would find her. They were mates after all. She had to accept his rejection so he could find a Luna he saw worthy to be by his side.

"Sweet Summer is that really you my love? Am I dreaming?"He spoke in a soft voice as if he knew he’d scare her away if he spoke above this whisper.

She looked at him in shock. Had he changed? He was no longer the heartless man she knew for five years.

"Yes, Kane. It's me Summer."

"Where have you been all this time?" I thought you were dead.

"Sir, does it really matter to you ?" You made it clear you didnt want me .

"Yes, you are my mate and the Luna of this whole territory and you have been gone for five years."

"I am not your Luna! You made that clear years ago!"

Everyone was watching them but neither Kane nor Summer cared. She looked him in the eyes with tears threatening to fall. She knew it was disrespectful to do it but she had to let him see and feel her pain.

"Alpha Kane I am not your mate or Luna. You rejected me five years ago. I've come to accept it so you can find your rightful Luna. You called me weak and told me I was too young for you. I tried to accept it that night but your wolf took over and beat me and tried to take me by force to keep me from accepting your rejection."

"I remember rejecting you like a dumbass fool. I swear it wasn't to tell you that I knew what my wolf did to you.All I can tell you is I'm sorry and I want you for my Luna I will only accept you."

"I didn't come here to be your mate, I came to accept your rejection and leave. I can't be your mate or Luna. You made it clear that night you don't want me or my wolf. I'm doing this so I can find a better Luna than me for our pack. They deserve the best you do so I'm not what you want."

Summer looked him in the eyes and took a deep breath.

"I am Summer Evergreen, daughter to alpha and luna Jason and June Evergreen of the silver moon pack hereby accept the rej…….."

There was a growl and a hand over her mouth so fast that she squeaked. She looked at him with fear in her eyes his heart dropped to his stomach seeing the fear she had for him. He looked in her wyes pleding with her .

"Please, Summer, don't. We are begging you, no, I'm begging you as a man that truly loves you and has done everythingbto change to please stop. Don't do this. I'm on my knees in front of our people. Please don't leave me. Please let me show you I am man that you deserve and my wolf has changed too he is no longer as cruel as he was."

"What are you doing Kane let her go you've rejected her and hurt her for doing what you wanted. Summer has always done as she was told and been a good girl for her parents and her Alpha why are you hurting her more. Plus how can you want her as you been talking with olivia. You can't have Summer as your mate and Olivia on the side. You need to make up your mind or let Summer go so she can find her second mate." Kane looked at his bata Ben who was staring at him with pure hurt like he could feel Summers' pain. At that moment he looked around the room and saw the same look in his packs eyes and knew they were all linked and he knew she was meant to be his luna.

"I, Kane Winterfire, king of all Alphas only accept you, Summer evergreen, Alpha of the silverpack as my queen and Luna."

Before she had time to move he had extended his canines and bitten her in between her shoulder and neck marking her as his. She looked at him stunned, unable to move. She felt a sharp pain that caused her to drop to her knees. Kane held her close to him.

"The pain will go away in a minute. My love is just our bond getting stronger."

"What did you do Kane You told me I wasn’t worthy of you. Now you want to be tied to someone who you see as useless and weak. Your wolf hurt me that night because you rejected everything about me."

"I had regretted what I said as soon as I said it and even more I regret what Angelo did to you when he took over. I lost my mind when you left. I realized I wasn't the man you deserve. So after two years of you being gone I realized I needed to change my ways if I was ever going to be what you deserved. It wasn’t you who wasn't good enough for me it was me who wasn’t good enough for you. I never want to lose you again. Give me a chance to show you please. I cant take back what happend that night or how I treated you before that but I can show you now how much you really mean to me and show you hpw i am now."

She looked at him studying him for a moment not speaking. She could see that he was being honest with her and speaking from his heart but she was scared. The pain wore off and Kane helped Summer get up.

"Summer please let me show you that we have changed."

She looked at him and saw that he was telling her the truth. There were so many emotions going through him. She couldn't refuse him but Sarah, her wolf, started to talk to her.

"Summer, my sister , let's give them a chance. I've been talking with Angelo and he seems to have changed toward us. He seems a lot more gentle than he used to be. He was crying when he was talking with me he never has done that before."

"Are you sure, Sarah? He did hurt us. I feel like you do but I am scared they'll hurt us like before. I'm scared they might kill us this time if they hurt us like before."

"I don't think they will. Its more then the mate bond that tells me they wont hurt us. I have never lied to you I wont start now I am scared but I want to try if they step out of line we will leave Summer please lets try."

"I trust you Sarah. okay if that's what you want we will try."

"Thank you Summer now go tell Kane, but make it clear that you and I will not be abised again or we are gone forever. I will talk with Angalo and tell him the same."

"Okay, Sarah. I love you."

"Okay, Kane. Here's our conditions. One, you guys never do what you did to us that night ever again. If you do we are gone for good. Two, this is your only chance with us to hurt us again and we are gone for good."

Hope and happiness shined bright through his eyes. He hugged her tight and kissed her forehead.

There was a loud scream and everyone looked toward the source of the scream. There stood a woman with fiery red hair and pale skin and bright green eyes. She looked as if her whole world just ended.

"How could you do this to me Kane! After all these years your choosing this ugly ass whore over me!"

Sarah tried to come forth but Summer made her stay back.

"I have this, Sarah. Shes just jealous."

"Okay, but that bitch has one more time to say something to our mate or call our king by his name."

"I know, I will handle her."

"Olivia I assume." Summer started. "I know all about you I remeber you always all over the men wolves trying to get with who ever had rank."

Summer looked at Kane who had fury in his eyes.

"I'm supposed to be your Luna, not this bitch she wolf here. She's just some little whore that's caught you fancy for this week. You promised i'd be your luna."

"Olivia stops before it's too late. As your bata Im telling you to stop throwing a fit before its to late." Ben tried to stop her but she wasn’t listening to him she was lost in her own fury.

"No, Ben this bitch comes here and he……."

There was a loud growl and Summer had her by the neck.

I have had enough of you damn mouth for a lifetime.

Kane walked up to them.

I told you before we were done. It's been years since i've even touched or spoke to you. We slept together once and I regreted it ever since. Summer has always been my mate you know this I have made it clear to everyone. I've never led you on.

Olivas eyes got huge.

"Summer is that you? Oh my god I am so sorry you have changed so much."

Summer let go of her neck.

"Next time you disrespect me i will kill you is that clear."

"Yes, my Luna it will never happen again."

"Okay, and never call your king by his name again or you will be banished."

"Yes, Luna. I'm sorry, Alpha."

Everyone bowed their heads.

"Okay everyone, I just want to make a few things clear. We are all family here I am an Alpha female so I will fight beside you guys and I will love you women like you're my sister's because you are to me your pups are my nieces and nephews we are family." Summer said to the crowd in the room.

"Yes, Luna." Everyone said at once.

"And also now that's over with Olivia, let me also say I am your safe place. If you need anything I'm here even if it's just for somebody to talk to. I do not wish for you guys to ever feel alone. I spent too many years alone and I don't want you to ever feel that my door is always open to you with no judgment."

Kane flinched at her words because he knew that he was the one that caused her loneliness and heartache. He swore right then and there that she would never feel that again as long as he was alive. Came with so proud she was his Luna she was stronger than anybody he had ever known. As long as he was alive she would never feel unwanted or unloved ever again.

He hugged her clothes to him and kissed her forehead.

"Why was I so stupid you are with this pack needs. You are going to be the perfect Luna."

"I am Ben Clearwater beta of Kane winterfire and I speak for everyone when I say King Kane you are blessed to have Luna Summer as your mate. If you mess this up and she leaves you may lose us all." Ben said

Kane looked at him and smiled.

"I know I am blessed that she's giving me a chance, and I will not hurt her ever again. I would rather die and then cause her any kind of pain. If I hurt her I will leave and never return. She will be your Luna forever. I give you my word as your king."

Summer knew he had done some unforgivable things to her that he will never forgive himself for but she had to give him a chance. King had witnessed when he found out she was gone and no one would tell him where she was. He had no idea what Angelo had done and when he found out he made a vow to find her and make it up to her five years ago.
