Void Sovereign: rebirth of the sect master
BOLUWATIFE GEORGE · Ongoing · 44.0k Words
Introduction
Now he awakens forty years earlier—a fifteen-year-old disciple with crippled cultivation after saving his fellow juniors on a deadly mission. This time, every painful memory remains.
Three years stand between him and the Inter-Sect Competition that once triggered Azure Sect’s downfall. Determined to defy fate, Lu Tian secretly selects ten promising disciples and trains them in the shadows. Together they raid forbidden inheritance ruins and cultivate the mysterious Void Technique, a power no one else can wield.
When the sect claims victory despite vicious sabotage, Lu Tian’s name echoes across the empire. Jealousy festers. The elders send him to the blood-soaked frontlines hoping he never returns. He comes back stronger and more dangerous than ever.
Only then does the devastating truth reveal itself: The Wunhai Empire is no ordinary mortal realm. It is a hidden sanctuary forged by the last Immortal who defied the upper worlds. And the blood flowing in Lu Tian’s veins belongs to that very Immortal—the ultimate prize the invaders seek to extinguish.
Upper realm envoys have already infiltrated the four great sects, corrupting elders and twisting the imperial throne from within. This time, Lu Tian refuses to die in ignorance. He will awaken the power of his immortal bloodline… or watch the entire Wunhai Empire burn.
Chapter 1
“Sect Master… forgive us.”
Lu Tian heard from behind him as he felt a sword pierce his back cleanly and emerging from his chest quickly. For a brief and almost absurd moment, Lu Tian found himself staring at the shining tip protruding from his robes, as though it belonged to someone else.
Lu Tian had heard that voice before at oath ceremonies, at council gatherings, during solemn discussions of the sect’s future. It was the voices of men who believed themselves righteous. The voices belonged to the sect elders who are the foundations of the sect.
Behind him, disciples shouted in horror.
“Protect the Sect Master!”
“How dare you…” A wave of pressure exploded outward from Elder Fang’s palm. Hundreds of disciples were slammed into pillars, coughing blood.
Lu Tian exhaled once. “So, it has come to this”. He whispered as he turned to face the crowd
A murmur spread through the disciples gathered below the summit plaza. They all stared in disbelief as the elders harmed the Sect Master. They all heard the bell for them to gather at the Azure peak but the announcement they had been expecting now turned into to them witnessing the death of their Sect Master.
Lu Tian remained standing.
The Grand Elders stood before him in a half-circle, their robes fluttering in the violent wind that had begun to coil around the mountain. Five men who had guided the sect for decades. Five men who had once knelt to him and sworn loyalty when he inherited the position of Sect Master.
Lu Tian’s chest rose and fell heavily as he stared at them, his mind struggling to reconcile the reality before him with the memories of the years they had spent fighting side by side.
“Why?” he finally asked.
His voice was hoarse, yet it sounded clearly across the silent plaza.
None of the elders answered immediately. It was Elder Fang who eventually stepped forward.
“You should not have resisted the inevitable,” Elder Fang said, his expression grave but not cruel. “The times have changed.”
Lu Tian felt his blood pour out of the hole in his chest, soaking into his robes, trickling down onto the ancient stone engraved with the sect’s insignia. The formation lines beneath his feet flickered in response to his weakening spiritual aura.
“So, it was you,” Lu Tian replied, a bitter smile forming on his lips despite the blood that trickled from the corner of his mouth. “All this time, the collapse of the formation… the disturbances in the spirit veins… I suspected an enemy from outside the sect.”
His eyes hardened. “I never imagined the enemy would be standing beside me.”
The elders remained silent but that silence was more damning than any confession.
Lu Tian slowly lifted his gaze to the elders. “You diverted the formation resources,” he said quietly.
Elder Fang did not deny it. “We did what was necessary.”
Lu Tian felt something inside his chest tighten from the crushing realization that the sect he had devoted his entire life to protecting had been undermined from within.
The formation beneath his feet flickered again, its light dimming further.
Above them, the sky began to fracture. It started as a thin distortion but within seconds it widened into a jagged tear stretching across the sky. Golden runes that had once formed the Heaven-Sealing Formation trembled violently, cracks racing across their radiant surfaces like lightning through glass. The barrier that had protected their Small World for ten thousand years was failing and it was failing from within.
“So, the invasion begins now,” he murmured.
Below the summit, terrified disciples fell to their knees as the pressure descended upon them like the weight of an entire world.
Lu Tian laughed softly, though there was no joy in the sound.
“All of this… just to open the rift for them.”
His gaze slowly swept across the elders standing before him.
“You betrayed the sect. You betrayed this world.”
Elder Fang did not deny it.
Far below the mountain, alarm bells began to ring. Disciples rushed out in confusion. Some looked up in horror as oppressive auras descended from the widening tear in the sky.
They were beings from outside their world who introduced themselves as members of the Upper Realm when their envoys first came to their world years ago. It was a top secret with the Royal family and Sect Masters of the different sects but now they have appeared before the whole world.
The figures clothed in silver and crimson robes emerged through the rupture, each radiating a pressure so vast that the spiritual energy of the Small World recoiled. The air itself seemed to grow heavier, thinner, as though reality strained under their presence.
Lu Tian felt it press down upon his shoulders. He had fought his entire life to reach the Nascent Soul stage, to protect this sect and the fragile equilibrium of their world. Yet, compared to what now descended, he was insignificant.
“Do not struggle, Sect Master,” Elder Mo said calmly. “Your resistance only makes this uglier.”
Lu Tian laughed and blood trickled from the corner of his lips.
“Ugly?” His voice was hoarse but steady. “You have already sold your souls.”
One of the Upper Realm cultivators stepped forward, hovering above the peak as though gravity no longer concerned him. His gaze swept over the mountain halls, the disciples, the elders, and finally rested upon Lu Tian.
The air itself screamed as foreign spiritual laws pressed down upon the Small World. Disciples collapsed by the hundreds and the Heaven-Sealing Formation shattered.
Elder Fang lowered his head toward the descending figures.
“The Eastern Pillar has fallen,” he said respectfully. “As promised.”
“So, this is the final pillar,” the man said, his voice resonating with a strange, layered echo. “Your cooperation is appreciated.”
Elder Fang bowed deeply.
The sight hollowed something inside Lu Tian far more painfully than the wound in his chest.
Cooperation. There was no coercion but agreement. Agreement that involved the destruction of the sect they swore to protect, all for whatever benefits they were promised.
The truth crystallized in that moment with unbearable clarity. The shortages, the sudden policy shifts, the “failed” maintenance cycles of the Heaven-Sealing Formation and the missions that had sent promising disciples to their deaths under suspicious circumstances.
It all made sense to him. The sect had not decayed by accident. It had been dismantled deliberately for ascension and promises whispered from above. He had tried so hard in his capacity as the Sect Master to keep the sect alive but the years showed constant failure. He finally understood that his trusted elders were behind the ailing state of his sect.

HER ALPHA, HER SAVIOUR
Kane Hellboud, charm and wealth personified, wanted only me in exchange for her treatment. No cameras, isolation, or noose-like rules were part of the deal. Behind his smile? Cold, violent possessiveness that destroyed our fake marriage.
Most of all, I didn’t know the supernatural walked among us, hiding in the cracks of ordinary life. Not until Abel Stone stepped into mine—dark-eyed, sharp-tongued, and oozing dangerous promises. He’s my new boss. He shouldn’t make my skin tingle or my pulse race. I shouldn’t feel this primal pull, this illogical recognition that tugs at something deep in my bones.
Around him, lights burst, electronics fry, and something ancient in me awakens.
Kane feels it. His grip tightens, punishments turn brutal, and he hides the truth of what I am.
Trapped between two powerful men, I’m no prey, no pawn—no helpless victim.
Prisons burn. Monsters bleed. As for me? I'm the storm in skin—deadly beyond suspicion.
From Sacrificed Slave to the Dragon King's Obsession
His fangs glinted as he gripped my chin, forcing me to meet his gaze. Dragon scales shimmered along his neck, breath scorching my skin.
"Your Majesty... I beg—" He shoved me onto the bed. Silk tore with a sharp rip, cold air rushing over my exposed body.
"Scared?" He smirked, palm sliding down my waist, fingers tracing slow, burning circles. "Yet you shiver... not from cold."
I lunged for the candlestick, but he caught my wrist, pinning it overhead. His knee forced my legs apart.
"When your father gave you to me," his lips brushed my ear, voice a dark rumble, "you were already mine."
On the eve of freedom after ten years of servitude, Lina Valeria stood one night away from reuniting with her betrothed. But Dragon King Augustus condemned her to the Abyss Mines on false charges—a trap forged from obsessive desire.
Augustus Ashenwing, Supreme Sovereign of Skyhold Citadel, is ruthless and feared by all races. His obsession stems from ancient grudges and dragonkind's most dangerous instinct: possessive desire. He demands her submission, binding her to his throne as his consort.
From prisoner to queen, Lina battles him through court intrigue and twisted passion—fighting for her mother, her freedom, her dignity.
Yet this cold-blooded tyrant reserves all tenderness for her alone. He indulges her temper, bends his pride, compromises without limit—anything to see her smile. Gradually, her heart wavers. But loving him means betraying Kain, who waited eleven years. Torn between duty and desire, she drowns in agonizing guilt.
Love and hatred intertwined—a forbidden dragon romance in a realm of oppression.
Mates: Regrets and Redemption
With my heart in pieces, I sought solace in the last place I expected—my Alpha's arms. One night turned into a dangerous entanglement, and now my Alpha refuses to let me go. As the Alpha’s obsession grows, I'm caught in a web of desire and fear.
Curtis, the boy I once loved, still holds a promise I made, but the Alpha’s powerful presence pulls me deeper into his world. Should I forgive Curtis and keep my word, or should I risk everything for a chance at something wild and unpredictable with the Alpha who won’t take no for an answer?
“There are no limits between us,” he chuckled, the mirth sparkling in his gorgeous eyes. “And all of this stems from the night you gave me both pain and pleasure. I’m simply returning the favor.”
He took two steps forward, and I stepped back. “But…” The memory of what I had done filled me with fear, and I knew I had to get out of there. “I…”
“No, Firecat.” He placed an index finger on my lips. “This will take your mind off that son of a bitch.” His strong hands pulled me by the waist until I felt his hard manhood.
To protect what’s mine
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
Vengeance of the Forsaken Luna
"Bella." Ethan's tone shifted, taking on that warning edge I knew too well. "Faye is vulnerable right now. She's terrified you'll resent her, that this will divide the pack. The last thing she wants is for this baby to come between us."
"Then you shouldn't have done it." I met his eyes squarely, letting him see the ice in mine. "Go back to your son."
"For fuck's sake." He dragged a hand through his hair. "How many times—it was artificial insemination. They used my sperm, yes, but Faye and I never—"
Bella let out a cold snort. Such brazen lies. Her mate had an affair with his brother's partner, and his entire family helped force her out with nothing, all to make way for the mistress to take her rightful position. Poor fool—he thought she was just an unwanted adopted daughter, easy to dismiss and control. He never knew the computer genius he'd been searching for was his own Luna.
Since he'd tainted himself, Bella was done. She rejected him and reclaimed what was hers, rising to the top with help from Victor, who'd been secretly in love with her for years.
When Ethan tried winning her back: "You don't want our child growing up fatherless."
Bella smiled mockingly. "The child's father isn't you."

I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.

The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.

It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.

“Asher please, it’s too much”.
“No. if I really wanted to punish you, I would give you all of me”, he said against my ears and my entire body froze. Suddenly he moved and I was standing again. This man was insane.
