Chapter 1
POV SHEINA CHARLOTTE
I entered a bar with wearing a long black dress. I also wrap a scarf around my neck to keep myself from the air conditioning inside the bar. But, no matter how cold the air conditioner is, it will surely feel warm too if you have drunk a glass of alcohol later. What's more if you join in enjoying the deafening thump of deafening music. Isn’t it?
“Wine!” I asked the bartender.
While serving my order, the bartender seemed to pay attention to my appearance, as well as the people passing behind my back. Maybe they wonder why I came to the bar dressed like someone about to mourn like that.
Yes, I did just come back from a funeral, my father's funeral. He was buried this afternoon just as the sun was about to return to sleep. My father, who is a container driver, had a fatal accident last night while trying to find money to pay for the treatment of his youngest daughter, who is none other than me. That is why, Hellena, my sister blamed me for the father's death.
“Another bottle!” I asked the bartender for extra wine and downed it as fast as I could, hoping that the alcoholic liquid would manipulate my brain, at least giving me a momentary amnesia for my father's departure.
But in fact, the more I drank the drink, the more intense the sense of loss I felt.
'Father is gone. Father left me and the world. Father died because of me. I have killed my father.’
These thoughts seemed to attack my head from all directions.
"One more bottle!" I asked the bartender who was still watching me.
“Did you come here by driving your car? If true, it will be very dangerous if you come home drunk later,” The bartender replied.
"Don't bother me! Your job here is only to sell the drink for me!” I took out all the dollars from my wallet. "Give me a drink until all my money is gone!" I asked.
The bartender seemed to take a deep breath before complying with my request finally. It seemed he was used to desperate people like me. I drank another bottle of wine, straight from the bottle. My vision started to feel dizzy, I turned my head, looking at a crowd of people who were prancing to enjoy the music.
I really envy the women who can dress all in short there, showing their smooth white thighs, as well as navels with slim waists. Meanwhile, I have to wear socks everywhere, I can't leave my toes open, especially my thighs and waist.
I turned my head back to face the bartender. "Where's the bathroom?" I asked with a dazed look.
"Over there, Miss." He pointed to the left from where I was sitting now.
I nodded my head then started to get up and staggered. When I got to the bathroom, I immediately vomited my stomach contents. Maybe because I'm not used to drinking alcohol, my digestive organs immediately rebelled.
I started to rinse my mouth and wash my face, but unfortunately the cold tap water actually made my body shiver. Oh it shouldn't be this cold! I added a scarf around my neck, and didn't forget to put my gloves back on to cover my fingers. But apparently could not ward off the cold. I need something warmer.
I got out of the toilet while staggering until finally I found the door to the VIP room guarded by two big bodyguards, I hope there is heating inside.
"Can I come inside?" I asked hopefully, my teeth were chattering because of the cold.
The two bodyguards looked at each other then whispered. I don't know what they discussed, after nodding to each other, they opened the door for me. As soon as I entered, the door immediately closed again.
"Hey, who are you?"
Someone came out from under the lumpy blanket on the bed in the room. I just realized that there were two people there, a couple, a man and a woman. Oh, what are they doing?
The man seemed to get off his bed and approached me. He was only wearing shorts, or underpants, I don't know I couldn't see clearly because my vision was dizzy. While the woman on the bed seemed to wrap her body with a blanket.
"Who told you to come in? Get out right now!” His baritone voice was cold and sharp.
“I-I…Please allow me to be in this room for a moment, Master. I'm so cold. I just want to warm my body for a moment," I begged.
“Shit!” He hissed. He started pushing my body. But I still don't want to go out. I gripped his broad shoulder. Oh, it's so warm, that man's body is so hot, it even beats all the heating I've ever felt. Immediately I hugged his body as tightly as possible to relieve the cold feeling that was gnawing at my body.
"Hey, what are you doing?" the man protested.
"Let me hug you, sir," I whispered. I rested my head on his sweaty chest. Oh, how warm he is.
POV KENNETH IMMANUEL
“Hey, let go! Get off you!” I was still trying to push the girl's body, but she hugged me tightly. Who is this girl?
"Sir, did you order another girl besides me?"
I turned to the woman I ordered who was still on the bed. "No. I just ordered you for tonight," I said.
"Then who is she?" she asked again.
I looked at the girl who was now hugging my body. She closed his eyes, whether she was asleep or just pretending to sleep. But the look on her innocent face sleeping on my chest made me not have the heart to chase her away again.
"You may leave now. Later, I will contact you for the next meeting. Don't worry, I'll still pay you in full," I said to the woman on the bed.
The woman put on her clothes then came out of the VIP room.
I'm left with the strange girl who is still holding me.
"Hey, aren't you going to let me go?" I said.
She was silent, not even a word. Finally I brought the body to the sofa. She slept on top of me like a baby hugging her father.
Who's she?
It looks very strange. At least this is the first time I've seen a person in a long, all-black dress enter a bar. She was wearing socks and gloves and she said she was cold even though it was not snowing here at all.
I noticed her face again. Her eyelashes are curled, her nose is small but sharp, and her lips are plump though they look a little pale. If I may admit, she is much prettier than the woman I ordered earlier.
Should I just spend the night with her?
I reached for the cell phone that was on the table near the sofa, then called one of my bodyguards.
“Please prepare the car right now!”

"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”

That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
