Introduction
Chapter 1
It was already six o'clock in the afternoon. Night was gradually falling over Emerald City, a medium-sized city in central Celestria with a population of just over a million but a thriving economy. After nearly twenty years of rapid development, Emerald City had become quite prosperous.
As night fell, the dazzling neon signs lining the main streets began to flash brilliantly.
All kinds of men and women seemed to forget their fatigue as they plunged into nightlife venues of all sizes, wildly gyrating their bodies under the dazzling spotlights. The phrase "absolute prosperity breeds absolute decadence" aptly captured people's mindset these days. With material abundance came other desires. The city under the cover of night was also filled with crime. In recent years, various sex service establishments had sprung up like mushrooms after rain, and news reports about "busting prostitution rings" had become more frequent. But like any other city, there was no way to eradicate it completely. The police were always on the defensive, but passive or not, the work still had to be done. The Emerald City Police had intensified their crackdown, organizing several major operations in recent days, raiding several bars and hair salons suspected of offering sexual services—almost every single one was guilty.
Batches of prostitutes and johns were detained. Officers had been conducting interrogations for several consecutive days, hoping to catch the big fish, but with little success.
"Ma'am, please! Don't tell my dad—he'll kill me! I swear this is my first time!"
"Nonsense! First time? We've been watching that motel for days. Just in the last five days alone, you three have been there twice at night. And you still dare to lie! We've already called your home. Your parents are on their way. Only seventeen and already a regular john—I really don't know how your parents raised you!" Officer Emily Johnson said sternly. She had interrogated quite a few johns of all types these past few days.
But this underage punk in front of her still shocked her.
So young, yet he hung out like brothers with two johns in their thirties, frequently visiting sex establishments for group prostitution activities. According to the other two's confessions, this had been going on for two years.
Colleagues who executed the operation said that when they burst into the motel room, they were having a threesome with a prostitute. This kid was thrusting his penis in and out of the prostitute's mouth. When she saw the police, the prostitute panicked and nearly bit his genitals.
It was truly unbelievable.
"These nouveau riche families—the parents only know how to make money and pay no attention to their children. As a result, their son degenerates into a john without them even knowing. It's truly sad."
Emily looked at the boy in front of her, dressed like a hoodlum. Hearing that his parents were coming, he squatted on the ground looking dejected. The other two might be detained for a few days, but since the boy was still a minor, he would probably just get a warning.
Hopefully he'll learn his lesson, Emily thought.
As a female detective, Emily was deeply disgusted by the rampant prostitution activities.
Growing up in a normal environment with orthodox education, it was precisely for this reason that she chose the path of becoming a police officer. At 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a model's figure and face, without her uniform, perhaps no one could guess her profession.
Emily despised pimps and johns from the bottom of her heart. It was they who caused budding young girls to degenerate into prostitutes that everyone could have. She also couldn't imagine how more and more women were willingly engaging in this filthy trade.
After finishing the interrogations of johns and escort girls, it was past one in the morning. Emily and her colleagues returned to the office exhausted.
"Ah... so tired." John Wilson at the adjacent desk stretched comfortably and casually lit a cigarette.
"Men go bad when they have money. They really should be sentenced to seven or eight years. What's the point of detaining them for two days and then releasing them? In the end, we've worked for nothing!" Officer Olivia Smith complained while organizing case files.
Everyone at the station had been frustrated these past few days.
"Olivia, you'd better be careful when looking for a husband in the future. Good men are hard to find these days. Same goes for you, Emily," John teased the two female officers.
Emily smiled perfunctorily and continued organizing the files. At twenty-eight, she had been on the force for nearly five years and was still single. Her two previous relationships had both ended, the reason being that she was a policewoman.
"Hmph, if I can't find one, I just won't. It's better to live the single life like Emily..." Olivia shot back.
Fresh out of the police academy, she was in the bloom of youth and somewhat competitive.
"Olivia! Being single isn't all that great. Don't learn from me. I'm still waiting to attend your wedding! Don't let your boyfriend accuse me of being an instigator!"
"Haha..." Emily's words brought some laughter to the office.
Just then, Captain William Brown walked in.
"What are you talking about? So happy. Must be you teasing them again." Captain Brown pointed at John.
John smiled bitterly.
"Alright, everyone's worked hard these past few days. When you're done, go home and rest. There's more work to do tomorrow morning. Emily, come with me for a moment."
Emily followed William into his office. William took out a document from his drawer and handed it to her—it was the transfer application Emily had submitted a month ago, along with the department's response.
[Considering the actual situation of insufficient police force, and in view of Emily Johnson's outstanding performance over the past six years, the following decision has been made after deliberation: Emily Johnson's request to transfer from her current position is not approved.
Emerald City Police
April 16, 1999]
A month ago, Emily had submitted a transfer request to the department, hoping to be transferred to an administrative position. That way, the work would be easier and she would have more regular working hours. After five years as a detective, dealing with all kinds of criminals every day, frankly, she was somewhat tired. Now seeing her hope dashed, she smiled bitterly.
"I'm sorry, Emily. We're so short-staffed right now, the higher-ups are in a difficult position too. Let's put this matter aside for now. If you have any difficulties, come to me," William said apologetically.
"It's okay, Captain. I also think now isn't the right time to request a transfer. Everyone's so busy—if I left, I'd be letting everyone down. Let's talk about it later."
"Well, you really should think about yourself. I really shouldn't keep you here. How about this—leave the application with me. After we get through this busy period, I'll help you process it."
"Thank you, Captain. If there's nothing else, I'll head back now."
"Alright, you go ahead."
Emily walked out of the office.
Was she really going to sacrifice all her youth for the choice she made back then? Emily kept asking herself this question. Her colleagues' teasing and the rejected application had stirred her thoughts, giving her a chance to re-examine her original choice. 'Maybe I should have a more exciting life,' Emily thought as she walked home.
Emily suddenly stopped in her tracks and spun around. Before her eyes was only an empty street.
"Damn it, that's the second time." Ever since leaving the police station, she'd had a feeling of being followed—half based on her professional skills from years on the force, half on a woman's intuition. "Maybe it's because I've been too tired these past few days. I really should give myself a few days off!" she consoled herself and continued walking toward her residence...

I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."
Danielle Harris is the daughter of an overprotective police chief and has led a sheltered life. As a kindergarten teacher, she's as far removed from the world of Harleys and bikers as you could get, but when she's rescued by the sexy and dangerous Austin Carver, her life is changed forever.
Although Austin 'Booker' Carver is enamored by the innocent Dani, he tries to keep the police chief's daughter at arm's length. But when a threat is made from an unexpected source, he finds himself falling hard and fast for the only woman who can tame his wild heart.
Will Booker be able to find the source of the threat before it's too late?
Will Dani finally give her heart to a man who's everything she's been warned about?
From Substitute To Queen
Heartbroken, Sable discovered Darrell having sex with his ex in their bed, while secretly transferring hundreds of thousands to support that woman.
Even worse was overhearing Darrell laugh to his friends: "She's useful—obedient, doesn't cause trouble, handles housework, and I can fuck her whenever I need relief. She's basically a live-in maid with benefits." He made crude thrusting gestures, sending his friends into laughter.
In despair, Sable left, reclaimed her true identity, and married her childhood neighbor—Lycan King Caelan, nine years her senior and her fated mate. Now Darrell desperately tries to win her back. How will her revenge unfold?
From substitute to queen—her revenge has just begun!

The Possessive Alpha

Triplet Alpha: My Fated Mates
"No." "I'm fine."
"Fuck," he breathes. "You're—"
"Don't." My voice cracks. "Please don't say it."
"Aroused." He says it anyway. "You're aroused."
"I'm not—"
"Your scent." His nostrils flare. "Kara, you smell like—"
"Stop." I cover my face with my hands. "Just—stop."
Then his hand on my wrist, pulling my hands away.
"There's nothing wrong with wanting us," he says softly. "It's natural. You're our mate. We're yours."
"I know." My voice is barely a whisper.
I spent ten years as a ghost in the Sterling mansion—a debt slave to the triplet Alphas who made my life hell. They called me "Carrot," shoved me into frozen rivers, and left me to die in the snow when I was eleven.
On my eighteenth birthday, everything changed. My first shift released a scent of white musk and first snow—and three former tormentors stood outside my door, claiming I was their fated mate. All three of them.
Overnight, the debt vanished. Asher's commands turned to vows, Blake's fists became trembling apologies, and Cole swore they'd been waiting for me all along. They declared me their Luna and promised to spend their lives atoning.
My wolf howls to accept them. But one question haunts me:
Would that eleven-year-old girl, freezing and certain she would die, forgive the choice I'm about to make?
Claimed by the Alpha's Love
Four years ago, Fiona's meticulously planned conspiracy turned me from an ordinary omega into a prisoner carrying the weight of a murder charge.
Four years later, I return to a world that has changed beyond recognition.
My best friend Fiona, who is also my stepsister, has become the perfect daughter in my mother's eyes. And my ex-boyfriend, Ethan, is about to hold a high-profile mating ceremony with her.
The love, family bonds, and reputation that I once cherished have all been taken by Fiona.
Just when I had reached my breaking point, questioning the very purpose of my existence, the legendary Alpha Lucas of Moonhaven suddenly appeared in my life.
He is powerful and enigmatic, a figure that all werewolves hold in awe.
Yet, he shows an extraordinary persistence and tenderness towards me.
Is Lucas's appearance a gift from fate, or the start of another conspiracy?
The CEO Above My Desk
“I know she does.”
“And what if she doesn’t want this kind of protection?”
“She will,” I say, my voice lowering slightly. “Because she needs a man who can give her the world.”
“And if the world burns?”
My hand tightens subtly at Violet’s waist.
“Then I’ll build her a new one,” I reply. “Even if I have to burn the old one down myself.”
I don’t work for Rowan Ashcroft.
I work beneath him.
From my desk, I decide who gets access to the most ruthless CEO in the city, and who never makes it past the lobby. I manage his time, his silence, his enemies. I keep his world running while my own quietly collapses under unpaid bills, a mother locked in rehab, and a brother who vanished without a goodbye.
Rowan Ashcroft is power wrapped in a tailored suit.
Cold. Untouchable. Merciless.
He doesn’t flirt. He doesn’t smile. He doesn’t see people, only usefulness.
And for a long time, I was just useful.
Until he started watching.
A shift in his attention is subtle at first. A pause too long. A look that lingers. Orders that pull me closer instead of pushing me away. The man who stands above my desk begins to control more than my schedule, and I realize too late that being noticed by Rowan Ashcroft is far more dangerous than being ignored.
Because men like him don’t crave affection.
They crave possession.
This was supposed to be a job.
Not a test of my limits.
Not a slow, deliberate descent into his authority.
But if Rowan Ashcroft decides I belong under his desk, then so be it.
Survival has a price, and the bills don’t care how I pay them.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
