Him

Silence fills the atmosphere, no one dares to speak. Not even the audacious lingering spirits or the mindless eyes. The mist was thick as he. No one dared to speak when he meditated. Violently, Austeria quaked, and the thunder rumbled. His voice was finally heard.

"To turn a heart demon," he rambled, rhyming with every quake of the kingdom and every thunder that struck. 

"A pure soul, one must find," he continued.

The atmosphere became dense.

"A soul for a soul, a demon for an angel," his mouth breathed out. He took a long breath, inviting the most turbulent wind. 

" Five..." He counted. His eyes were like balls of smoke, too dangerous to behold. As he counted, the mist formed below him, pulling him up from the ground.

"Four," he continued. The thunder struck again. His horns were elongated, black like the mist itself.

"Three," he went on. The wind rushed from all sides of the window, revolving around him like a raging circle, blowing fervently but keeping him in his still meditative position. His eyes twitched, and the kingdom quaked again.

"Two," he counted. His eyes continued to twitch, the mist now lowering him down to form a large display. 

"A soul for a soul, a demon for an angel," he repeated. The whole room shook violently, the wind fiercer than before. 

"One!" He said at last. Immediately he pronounced the last number, and the whole place became still again, even the wind stopped moving. He opened his eyes and the display revealed itself - a young girl, not from their kingdom, not of their kingdom. She sat by a pond, watching the fishes.

"A thousand years I have waited," he spoke again, this time, standing up to take a good look at the girl. 

"A pure soul I have longed for," he continued. This time, walking around the display.

"I can finally see my kingdom expanding." His voice was the mixture of a trumpet and a raging storm - unexplainable, inconceivable.

He blew the raging wind and it flew away, the display fading away.

He closes his eyes for some time, causing a dead silence. He was about to summon his son.

"Lucifer," he called out. In a split second, his son appeared behind him,

"Yes, father," His son replied. He had no horns like his father, no eyeballs of smoke. His eyes only brought out fireballs, beautiful, hypnotizing. 

"I have a mission for you." He spoke, not turning back to see his son's reaction. 

Lucifer straightened himself for the message,

" You will go to the kingdom of Lebington, and bring Princess Adrianna, the sixth daughter of King Jerome of Lebington. "

Lucifer raised his eyes in shock. He dared not to ask why.

"You shall take the Princess as a wife, and bring her to Austeria. You shall show forth royalty, and prove yourself a worthy prince. The time has come for us to finally avenge the soul of your sister."

He waited for Deville to be done talking. No one dared to speak when the mighty king spoke.

" You have seven months. You are dismissed!"

"Your wish is my command, master, " his son finally spoke, bowing down before he turned into thin air.
