Introduction
But when Kael publicly marks his lover instead of his wife, Ivy finally breaks. Carrying a secret that could change everything, she vanishes without a trace, taking with her the one thing Kael never realized he needed; his true mate and his unborn child.
Now, months later, Kael’s world is crumbling. His pack is weakening, his wolf is restless, and the mate bond he once rejected haunts him. When he finally tracks Ivy down, she is no longer the fragile omega he abandoned. She is stronger, independent, and protected by another Alpha. But nothing prepares him for the moment he sees his son.. his heir.
Desperate for a second chance, Kael will do whatever it takes to win back the mate he never appreciated. But Ivy is no longer the woman who once begged for his love. If he wants her back, he’ll have to prove he’s worthy of her trust.
Can Kael redeem himself before it’s too late?
Will Ivy ever forgive the Alpha who broke her?
Or will the past be too much to overcome?
Chapter 1
Ivy’s POV
I wasn’t expecting kindness.
Not from him.
Not from her.
Not even from the entire Pack
But knowing what was coming didn’t make it hurt any less.
The tray of tea trembled in my hands as I made my way down the dimly lit corridor. The walls, once grand and imposing, felt suffocating now, closing in with each hesitant step. The scent of burning firewood mixed with the lingering musk of Kael’s cologne, a scent I had once foolishly found comfort in.
Now, it made my stomach twist.
Beta Calder’s words still echoed in my mind. "The Alpha doesn’t like to be kept waiting". He hadn’t even looked at me when he said it, shoving the tray into my hands like I was some lowly servant instead of the pack’s Luna.
But I wasn’t really a Luna. Not in any way that mattered, I was still the lowly omega to them all.
I reached the heavy oak door of Kael’s chambers, my fingers tightening around the tray to stop them from shaking. A deep breath in. Out. I knocked, a soft, barely-there sound.
Silence.
Maybe he wasn’t here. Maybe I could just leave the tray and..
A sound. A low, muffled groan.
My entire body went rigid.
No.
Not again.
My pulse pounded against my ribs, dread pooling in my stomach as I hesitated. Please don’t make me do this. Please don’t make me see this again.
But if I turned back without delivering the tea, I would pay for it.
And the punishments in this pack were never kind.
Swallowing the lump in my throat, I reached for the handle. The door creaked open.
And my world shattered all over again.
Selena, draped over Kael like a goddess in her rightful place, her bare legs straddling his lap, her lips tracing the sharp lines of his throat. His hand rested possessively on her waist, his fingers digging into her skin.
My mate.
With her.
Like I wasn’t even real.
The tray almost slipped from my grasp.
Selena’s eyes flicked to mine first, her lips curving into a slow, taunting smirk. “Oh, look who finally decided to grace us with her presence,” she purred, tilting her head against Kael’s neck. “What do you want now, dear Luna?”
The title was nothing but a joke coming from her lips.
Kael barely reacted. His cold, dark eyes landed on me, a flicker of irritation crossing his face as if my presence was nothing more than an inconvenience.
I forced my gaze down, biting the inside of my cheek as I stepped forward to place the tray on the table. My hands shook so badly that the porcelain teacup clattered against the saucer, the sound like a gunshot in the heavy silence.
Selena snickered. “Pathetic.”
Kael exhaled sharply, as if the mere sight of me exhausted him. “You’re late.”
“I... I’m sorry, Alpha, I..”
“You’re always sorry,” he cut in, voice void of warmth. “And yet, you still manage to fuck up the simplest of tasks.”
The words stung more than they should have. My throat tightened as I clenched my fists, nails digging into my palms to keep myself from crumbling.
Nothing I did was ever enough.
Selena rose from his lap with effortless grace, her silk robe slipping down her shoulder as she sauntered toward me. The air shifted, thick with her perfume, too sweet, too overpowering.
She reached out, tucking a stray strand of my hair behind my ear in a gesture so deceptively gentle it made my skin crawl.
“You should leave, Ivy,” she murmured, voice soft, but the venom was unmistakable. “You’re ruining the mood.”
I nodded quickly, eager to escape.
But before I could take a step, her hand shot out, wrapping around my wrist in a bruising grip.
“Ah, but leaving without your Alpha's permission?” She tsked, shaking her head. “That’s disobedient, don’t you think, Kael?”
Kael leaned back in his chair, regarding me with the same disinterest he might give a piece of broken furniture. “She needs to learn her place.”
Selena’s nails dug into my skin, sharp and cruel. “I think she should be reminded,” she said sweetly. “Shall I do the honors, my Alpha?”
Kael smirked, the closest thing to amusement I had seen from him in months. “Go ahead.”
Panic flared in my chest.
“P-please...”
The slap came so fast I didn’t even see it coming.
A sharp crack echoed through the room as my head snapped to the side. The force of it sent me stumbling, my vision blurring as the sharp sting spread across my cheek. The metallic taste of blood bloomed on my tongue where my teeth had cut into the inside of my lip.
Selena sighed dramatically, shaking out her hand. “You’re lucky I’m in a good mood tonight, you fucking bitch. Otherwise, I’d do worse.”
Kael didn’t react. He didn’t care.
I wasn’t surprised.
I was his wife, his Luna, yet I meant nothing to him.
Selena turned back to him, slipping into his lap once more as if nothing had happened. “Now, where were we?” she murmured, fingers trailing down his chest.
Kael’s gaze flickered to me one last time, something unreadable flashing in his eyes before it was gone.
Then he turned his attention back to her.
I stood there, frozen, my cheek throbbing, my chest hollow.
I should have left.
But for one agonizing second, I let myself hope.
Hope that maybe... just maybe he would look at me differently. That he would see me. That he would tell me to stay, to fight, to be something more than the shadow they forced me to become.
But hope was a foolish, cruel thing.
And Kael had none left for me.
His voice was cold when he finally spoke.
“Get out.”
I bowed my head and fled.
Not looking back.
Not letting them see the tears that slipped down my face.
Not letting them know that, despite everything, despite the humiliation, the pain, the rejection...
My heart still foolishly yearned for the mate who had never been mine.

What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
