Chapter 1
Coletta’s POV
“$250,000 upon signing, with the remainder paid after contract completion.”
The numbers glared back at me from the advert I’d pulled off the hospital’s notice board yesterday. I’d read those words so many times they were practically engraved into my brain; like the Universe itself was tempting me, mocking me, daring me to cross a line I’d never imagined crossing.
I wasn’t proud of what I was about to do. There was no happiness, no excitement. Only desperation, thick and choking desperation that clung to my throat and refused to let me breathe. Life had grabbed me by the shoulders, slammed me into a corner, and whispered, Choose: your dignity or your mother. It wasn’t even a choice.
My mother, the only person I had left was lying in a hospital bed, machines breathing for her. One moment she’d been selling snacks by the roadside, trying to help ease our burden… the next, a car had come out of nowhere, swerved, and shattered everything. She’d always been stubborn about working, refusing to stay home while I ran myself ragged at the small restaurant downtown.
“I’m not a burden, Lettie. I can still help.” I could still hear her voice; soft, tired, always hopeful. The elderly couple who owned the building we first took shelter in… they were the ones who saved us when we had nowhere to sleep. Strangers who became something like relatives, who offered food and a roof until we could afford rent. I’d promised myself I would repay their kindness. And now?
Now I couldn’t even afford to keep my own mother alive. So here I was, sitting in a pristine hallway, waiting for a surrogate interview with strangers who could change my life with a single signature.
Two. Million. Dollars. But I only needed the first payment. $250,000. Just enough for the surgery that could save my mother. Everything else… I’d deal with later. I looked around at the four women who’d been ahead of me, slim, polished, expensive. Humans. Perfect candidates with perfect smiles. They belonged here and I didn’t. They were human, I wasn't. I was the broken one, the outlier, the wolf pretending to be ordinary. But what else could I do?
I swallowed hard and kept my head down. Even if the contract only offered that initial money, I’d take it without blinking, I’d sign it right now if they let me. “Coletta Davids!” The sharp sound of my name snapped me out of my spiraling thoughts. I blinked and the other women were gone. I was the last. “Y-yes?” I managed, jumping to my feet. A petite brunette stood by the doorway labeled Assistant. Her heels clicked briskly against the gleaming floors as she gestured for me.
“Follow me, please.” Her pace was almost unnaturally fast. Had she been a wolf, I would’ve assumed she was trying to assert dominance but she didn’t smell like one. Her scent was neutral. Too neutral. Unless she masked it. We walked down a long, polished corridor until she stopped at a heavy door marked in clean, bold letters: CEO
She knocked twice, then turned to me with a professional but tight smile as she opened the door. “Mr. McKnight, the last candidate is here and her file is on your table.” A hand, large, masculine, lifted from the other side of a massive chair turned toward the window. A simple wave dismissed her.
The assistant slipped out and shut the door softly behind me. Her departure was followed by deep silence. In fact it was heavy, dense, and charged. The air changed the moment the latch clicked. the atmosphere thickening with something sharp, ancient, powerful. My lungs tightened. He wasn’t human and that was obvious. Oh my goddess! His presence alone vibrated through the room. There was a… hum under my skin. A pressure. Like I’d stepped into the territorial aura of an alpha.
And his scent, oh Goddess. It was faint yet intoxicating, something dark and commanding beneath a carefully masked neutrality. He’s Lycan, the ones that rule over all werewolves. They are the closest version of the first ancestor. My heart dropped, the temperature dipped and my blood iced. Is this… the McKnight? The one people whispered about at night? The ruthless king? The rumored Lycan king with the terrifying temper? The one whose face was supposedly scarred and monstrous? I nearly bolted, in fact, everything in me screamed to turn back. Wolves plus power never equaled safety. Especially not for someone like me, but I couldn’t move. There was a dilemma eating me up, I couldn’t risk losing this chance. I couldn’t risk losing my mother.
His voice broke through my panic, startling me further. His voice was smooth and rich, sliding along my skin like velvet dipped in authority. “Take a seat and calm that heart of yours, little wolf.” I flinched. So he knew, he had obviously sensed me instantly. Shit! I’m in trouble. I’m in so much trouble. Did he read my thoughts already, seeing that he was the rumored thought reader?
“Sit down first. Then you’ll find out if I’ve been reading your thoughts or not.” Oh no! It's him, and the rumors are real. What am I going to do? He swiveled his chair slowly facing me. My breath hitched. This… this couldn’t be him. This couldn’t be the monster from the rumors. He was uh, Goddess help me, too breathtaking. All smooth, flawless skin. A jaw sharp enough to cut glass.
Broad shoulders filling the chair. And the eyes…phew! They were like icy oceans under moonlight, cold, piercing, impossible to ignore. I froze, rooted to the floor.
He watched me with quiet intensity, his aura brushing against me, dominant, assessing, curious. “When you’re done admiring me, let me know.” His lips curved, just slightly. A teasing smirk appeared. Heat exploded in my cheeks. I wanted the floor to swallow me whole. But what struck me was this, why wasn’t he angry? Why wasn’t I dead like everyone alluded of his reactions? His reputation painted him as a merciless beast who tore women apart for less than staring. Yet here he sat… amused. A contradiction wrapped in a beautiful, dangerous man.
I didn’t understand him. I didn’t understand what was happening. Or why I suddenly felt like my entire life was about to totally change.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
Genevieve loses a bet she can’t afford to pay. In a compromise, she agrees to convince any man her opponent chooses to go home with her that night. What she doesn’t realize when her sister’s friend points out the brooding man sitting alone at the bar, is that man won’t be okay with just one night with her. No, Matteo Accardi, Don of one of the largest gangs in New York City doesn’t do one night stands. Not with her anyway.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.

A temperamental romance novel.

The Lycan Kings and the White Wolf.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Triplet Alpha: My Fated Mates
"No." "I'm fine."
"Fuck," he breathes. "You're—"
"Don't." My voice cracks. "Please don't say it."
"Aroused." He says it anyway. "You're aroused."
"I'm not—"
"Your scent." His nostrils flare. "Kara, you smell like—"
"Stop." I cover my face with my hands. "Just—stop."
Then his hand on my wrist, pulling my hands away.
"There's nothing wrong with wanting us," he says softly. "It's natural. You're our mate. We're yours."
"I know." My voice is barely a whisper.
I spent ten years as a ghost in the Sterling mansion—a debt slave to the triplet Alphas who made my life hell. They called me "Carrot," shoved me into frozen rivers, and left me to die in the snow when I was eleven.
On my eighteenth birthday, everything changed. My first shift released a scent of white musk and first snow—and three former tormentors stood outside my door, claiming I was their fated mate. All three of them.
Overnight, the debt vanished. Asher's commands turned to vows, Blake's fists became trembling apologies, and Cole swore they'd been waiting for me all along. They declared me their Luna and promised to spend their lives atoning.
My wolf howls to accept them. But one question haunts me:
Would that eleven-year-old girl, freezing and certain she would die, forgive the choice I'm about to make?
