Introduction

When a principal ballerina is found dead on the floor of Beaumont Atelier, the academy's brightest star ends up in a coma overnight.

With opening night only weeks away, former prodigy Odette Bellamy is unexpectedly pushed as a replacement.
But Beaumont Atelier is built on more than discipline and perfection. Behind its mirrored studios and standing ovations lies a world of ruthless ambition, dangerous rivalries, and carefully buried secrets. As Odette steps into the spotlight, anonymous threats begin appearing, rehearsals take a sinister turn, and another dancer narrowly escapes a fatal "accident."

The more Odette learns about the ballerina she replaced, the more she becomes convinced the attempted murder was no accident.

Someone inside Beaumont Atelier is hiding the truth.

And they're willing to sacrifice anyone who gets too close.

In a place where every movement is watched and every mistake has consequences, Odette must uncover what happened before the next curtain call. Because she may be dancing toward the same fate.

Chapter 1

If a ballerina falls and nobody is there to catch her, does she still make a sound?

Everyone was supposed to be asleep, but a warm, faint light still flickered in a particular room.

Twenty feet up on the top floor of Beaumont Atelier, Giselle danced along the narrow stone railing as though it were the grandest stage in the world. Below her, darkness swallowed the grounds.

Her blonde hair swayed with the cool night breeze, strands catching the silver light as she spun effortlessly. The hem of her pale dress fluttered around her ankles while her bare feet balanced delicately against the cold stone. She felt weightless, as though she were flying.

Every ballerina dreams of flying, but dancers never truly fly. They only borrow the sky for a heartbeat before gravity takes back what they tried to steal. Because no matter how high they leap, gravity always wins.

Tonight, she danced as though gravity didn't exist. Across from her, the faint light in a room flickered softly. She inhaled slowly. The air smelled of rain and old stone.

She twirled. Her body obeyed without hesitation. She rose onto the tips of her toes and extended her arms, imagining an invisible audience watching from below. The applause existed only inside her mind, but it was enough to keep her dancing.

She completed another graceful turn. And another. Until a shadow stepped into her path. She froze. Her breath caught in her throat.

"You..." she whispered, her voice trembling. "What are you doing here?"

The figure didn't answer. Instead, it took a single step forward. Giselle instinctively stepped back, her heel finding only the narrow edge of the railing. Cold fear rushed through her body.

The figure lunged at her. She gasped as their bodies collided. Her balance shattered. She fought desperately, their bodies twisting together in a frantic struggle atop the narrow railing. Her hands clawed at sleeves, searching for anything to hold onto, every movement threatening to send them both over the edge.

"No... please!" she cried.

She was shoved hard. Her footing disappeared, and for one impossible moment, she hung suspended between earth and sky.

"Help..." The words died before she could finish. Her fingers reached for the railing, but she missed. In the end, gravity won.

The world rushed upward, and she fell. Her body struck the stone courtyard below with a sickening force that produced an awful sound. A crimson pool slowly spread beneath her, staining the pale ground like spilled paint across a stage.

Three weeks later...

The letter from Beaumont Atelier arrived on a Tuesday morning. It was sealed with a gold wax stamp embossed with the academy's crest—a ballerina poised gracefully in an arabesque.

With trembling hands, Odette carefully broke the seal. Inside was a single cream-colored sheet. Written in delicate cursive were the words:

"Dear Miss Odette Bellamy,

We are pleased to offer you a Corps de Ballet position at Beaumont Atelier, pending evaluation for principal casting.

We look forward to welcoming you to Paris."

She reread the letter three times just to ensure she wasn't dreaming. A feeling of joy bloomed inside her, like a thousand butterflies dancing wildly in her stomach.

A year ago, she had fallen from a lift during rehearsal. The impact had shattered her ankle. The doctors weren't optimistic. "You may dance again," one had said carefully, "but you'll never dance the same."

For months, Odette's world had become hospital rooms, rehabilitation sessions, and endless physiotherapy appointments.

At two in the morning, while everyone else slept, she would sit in bed watching ballet performances on YouTube, wondering if she'd ever step onto a stage again.

Now... Beaumont Atelier was giving her a second chance. Located in the heart of Paris, it was one of the most prestigious ballet academies in France.

Thousands auditioned every year. Very few received an invitation. She had somehow become one of them.

The taxi came to a stop outside the academy gates. Odette stepped out and looked up. It was even more breathtaking than the photographs.

The building resembled an old château, its cream stone walls glowing beneath the morning sun. Ivy climbed the towers while tall arched windows reflected the clear blue sky.

At the center of the courtyard stood a marble statue of a ballerina frozen in a perfect arabesque.Odette couldn't help smiling. Taking a deep breath, she wheeled her suitcase toward the entrance.

The moment she stepped inside, she was greeted by the familiar scent of rosin, polished wood, and fresh flowers.

The lobby buzzed with activity as students hurried between studios.

"Odette Bellamy?" a voice called from behind her.

She turned. Two women were walking toward her. One appeared to be in her early forties, wearing a tailored white blazer over an elegant black dress, her blonde hair swept into a flawless bun.

Beside her walked a slightly younger woman dressed in a fitted rehearsal outfit, her dark brown hair also secured in a neat bun.

Odette's eyes widened. "Madame Beaumont..." she breathed. "Oh my God."

Claire Beaumont smiled warmly and gently took both of Odette's hands. "Welcome to Beaumont Atelier, Odette."

She gestured toward the woman beside her. "And this is Madame Sofia Laurent."

"It's nice to meet you," Odette said politely.

"You as well," Sofia replied with a courteous nod.

Before anyone could continue, a man carrying a professional camera approached. "Madame Beaumont," he said.

Madame Beaumont turned toward him with a practiced smile. "Perfect timing," she said with a pleasant expression. "We'd like to document your arrival."

She turned to the photographer. "This is Odette Bellamy, a talented ballerina from Strasbourg. She suffered a serious injury last year, but we're delighted to welcome her to Beaumont Atelier for a fresh start."

"Wonderful," the photographer said. "Everyone smile."

Odette stood between Madame Beaumont and Madame Sofia. The camera flashed. As the photographer walked away, she turned back to Madame Beaumont.

"Thank you," she said sincerely. "Thank you so much for this opportunity."

Madame Beaumont squeezed her arm gently. "Of course, dear. We've heard wonderful things about your talent. An injury should never stop a ballerina from shining." She smiled kindly. "I'm certain you'll find your place here."

"Yes," Madame Sofia added thoughtfully. "Perhaps you'll even follow in Giselle's footsteps." Odette's smile faltered. "Giselle?" She looked between the two women. "Who is Giselle?"

For the briefest moment, something unreadable flickered across Sofia's face. Before she could answer, Madame Beaumont smoothly interjected.

"You must be exhausted after your journey." She slipped an arm gently around Odette's shoulders and began guiding her farther into the academy.

"Come. Let's get you settled in. But first, let's get you to Dr Cassey.”

One Night. One Mistake. One Lifetime of Consequences.

I thought I was waiting for love. Instead, I got fucked by a beast.

My world was supposed to bloom at the Moonshade Bay Full Moon Festival—champagne buzzing in my veins, a hotel room booked for Jason and me to finally cross that line after two years. I’d slipped into lacy lingerie, left the door unlocked, and lay on the bed, heart pounding with nervous excitement.

But the man who climbed into my bed wasn’t Jason.

In the pitch-black room, drowned in a heady, spicy scent that made my head spin, I felt hands—urgent, scorching—searing my skin. His thick, pulsing cock pressed against my dripping cunt, and before I could gasp, he thrust hard, tearing through my innocence with ruthless force. Pain burned, my walls clenching as I clawed at his iron shoulders, stifling sobs. Wet, slick sounds echoed with every brutal stroke, his body unrelenting until he shuddered, spilling hot and deep inside me.

"That was amazing, Jason," I managed to say.

"Who the fuck is Jason?"

My blood turned to ice. Light slashed across his face—Brad Rayne, Alpha of Moonshade Pack, a werewolf, not my boyfriend. Horror choked me as I realized what I’d done.

I ran away for my life!

But weeks later, I woke up pregnant with his heir!

They say my heterochromatic eyes mark me as a rare true mate. But I’m no wolf. I’m just Elle, a nobody from the human district, now trapped in Brad's world.

Brad’s cold gaze pins me: “You carry my blood. You’re mine.”

There is no other choice for me but to chose this cage. My body also betrays me, craving the beast who ruined me.
