Celestia_Alejandro · Ongoing · 47.0k Words
Introduction
But when Daniel discovers Ayesha is about to marry his much older uncle, he storms into her life, determined to stop her. What he doesn’t know is why she’s marrying him — and Ayesha has no intention of telling. She’s already sacrificed enough.
As Daniel digs for the truth, anger turns into obsession, and saving her becomes something far more dangerous. But if he manages to stop the wedding… will he let her go — or claim her for himself?
Chapter 1
Ayesha’s POV
“When the heart is hopeful and the mind alight, the soul sings.
when the heart is heavy and the mind numb, the soul cries.”
I crumple up the sheet of my shitty poetry and stare out the window at the rain beating against the thick glass of the window. I tried to inhale but it felt like my windpipe was being crushed painfully slowly, making it become harder and harder to breathe until I couldn’t take the suffocation anymore. My white shirt and black sweater were like a thick layer of lava on my skin even though the air in the room was ice cold.
With a jerk, I slide open the glass and let the rain blow in and soak me to the core… I don’t know how long I stand there with the rain falling on my face and washing away the silent, hot tears. Maybe it could wash away my soul too, so I wouldn’t have to bear the pain of the fact that my love story had ended before it even started….
Just when the thunder boomed across the sky, the door of my dorm room suddenly burst open, making me almost have a heart attack before I went completely still. I rub the water out of my eyes and blink twice before I dare to look up again but then quickly look down.
Oh crap! It was him. As if this day couldn’t possibly get any worse.
He stalks toward me, the unmistakable spark of fury evident in his eyes. Why was he here and why was he so angry? A shiver creeps up my spine as fear trickles down my skin… the fury of Daniel Kane, practically owner of Kane Corporate, a multi-billion dollar company, wasn’t something someone like me could take.
“My mother just told me that a girl named Ayesha and my uncle are getting married. And I thought good for him ‘cause he’s like 44 years old and been divorced multiple times and he deserves some happiness of his own. But guess what… it gets really fucking interesting from there.” I freeze where I’m standing, determined to not look up.
"A hello would've been a nice start." That's what I wanted to say to his stupidly handsome face but I kept my mouth sealed shut.
“Then I learn from my dear mother that the girl studies in my college. And then I think to myself how many Ayeshas are there in Harvard? Wanna take a guess?” His huge form is all of a sudden too close for my comfort, he towers over me. I feel so small and pathetic that I want to crawl into a hole and never come out.
“Ayesha”, he leans down and I almost flinch when I feel his hot breath against the shell of my ear. “Take a fucking guess.” I try to take a step back and slip on the wet floor. Daniel curses before catching me mid-way.
“Have you actually gone raving mad?” Daniel shuts the window with a loud bang, then turns back to me and I can almost feel the anger rolling off of him. “Why did you leave the window open when it was raining?” Which is when he realises that I’m soaked from top to bottom.
“What the hell is wrong with you? Are you trying to catch pneumonia and frostbite at the same time? It's so fucking cold in here. ” He takes my hands in his, rubbing them to generate heat, a warm and tingly feeling takes flight in my stomach and I don’t like it one bit. The palm of his hands was surprisingly warm, mine as cold as ice. I try to pull my hands away from his but he jerks my body toward him with one small pull and I collide with his hard chest.
I turn bright red and am still adamant on keeping my gaze down, but that somehow ends up looking like I’m snuggling into him. God, I’m fucking stupid!
“Look, Ayesha”, Daniel almost whispers. “I know there’s some misunderstanding. Just clear it up so I can cool my jets and leave you to yourself…”
“I’m marrying your uncle.” I sigh out loud, wrenching myself out of his arms. “Not that it's any of your concern.”
Daniel’s mother had made it clear that our deal was to be kept strictly confidential, especially from Daniel. Although I was sceptical about why she was so worried about her son, I on the other hand was sure the news of my marriage would be as interesting to him as watching paint dry.
“Why?”
His jaw ticks when I don’t answer and I almost start enjoying the fact that I’m getting on his nerves before I remember why he’s here in the first place.
“Don’t play with me, Wilson.” And we’re back to surnames.
“Tell me why.”
“You have no right to ask me that.” I shoot him my coldest look, confused as to why he was even here. “And why do you even care? I’m just the daughter of a man who is an employee in your father’s company and someone you like to occasionally bully. Who I date, marry or divorce is none of your concern.” Daniel Kane, Aberama Kane’s son and soon-to-be CEO of Kane Corporate was known for having a short temper and I was seeing it for myself as his patience chipped away.
“It is my concern because I fucking said so.” I flinch at his tone, low but deadly. He inches toward me but stops when I take a step back.
He balls his fist, and glares at me but then lets out a groan of clear disdain for some reason.
“Your bed is soaked and I’m pretty sure the dorm supervisor will have a lot to say about it.” I turn around and almost cry when I see the condition of my bed. On top of everything I was being bombarded with, this was the last straw… the absolute last. My feet give out and am forced to sit on the wet floor, shivering in my cold clothes, feeling small and pathetic, a feeling not foreign to me when Daniel was around.
“Why?” I speak so low, it would’ve been impossible for him to hear but he does anyway.
“Why what?”
“You barely even say hello to me on campus unless it is part of some elaborate plan to humiliate me. All you’ve done is embarrass me at every opportunity, insult me for no reason whatsoever and turn me into the laughing stock for all of Harvard. What I’m trying to say is there is nothing, absolutely nothing I know about you or you know about me. We obviously don’t run in the same friend circles. There is no plausible reason as to why there is any reason you would suddenly be so interested in what goes on in…..” I’m cut off by him interrupting.
“Do you always give such long speeches or does it come along with your cardboard personality?”
Jerk! He was only here to mock me after all. What else should I have expected from him?
From the corner of my eye, I notice him opening my closet and shoving some clothes into a bag.
I get up from my place on the floor and walk toward him. “What the hell are you doing?” I try to snatch the bag away from him but he just grabs my elbow and thrusts me up against my closet, keeping me in place by pressing his forearm across my stomach.
“Your dorm room’s a fucking mess, your bedding is pretty much ruined and you’ve got no place to sleep for the night. And I’m at the end of my patience so how about you take this bag,” he hands the bag to me, his demeanour screaming authority,” Pack a change of clothes and whatever you need for the night. I’ll be in the parking lot. Do you know what my car looks like?”
I nod, feeling smaller than I’d ever felt before.
“Yes.” And feeling a spark of indignation, I further add,” I could just bunk with one of my friends. In fact, Dave’s parents live pretty close to campus so I won’t even have to bunk with anyone and break dorm rules.”
Daniel’s eyes flare, his lips thinning as his jaw clenches,” 10 minutes. A minute more than that and I’m dragging you out.” He starts walking out and before I can let out a sigh of relief he adds,” By your hair.”

From Substitute To Queen
Heartbroken, Sable discovered Darrell having sex with his ex in their bed, while secretly transferring hundreds of thousands to support that woman.
Even worse was overhearing Darrell laugh to his friends: "She's useful—obedient, doesn't cause trouble, handles housework, and I can fuck her whenever I need relief. She's basically a live-in maid with benefits." He made crude thrusting gestures, sending his friends into laughter.
In despair, Sable left, reclaimed her true identity, and married her childhood neighbor—Lycan King Caelan, nine years her senior and her fated mate. Now Darrell desperately tries to win her back. How will her revenge unfold?
From substitute to queen—her revenge has just begun!
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.
Bonnie has spent her entire life being broken down and abused by the people closest to her including her very own twin sister. Alongside her best friend Lilly who also lives a life of hell, they plan to run away while attending the biggest ball of the year while it's being hosted by another pack, only things don't quite go to plan leaving both girls feeling lost and unsure about their futures.
Alpha Nicholas is 28, mateless, and has no plans to change that. It's his turn to host the annual Blue Moon Ball this year and the last thing he expects is to find his mate. What he expects even less is for his mate to be 10 years younger than him and how his body reacts to her. While he tries to refuse to acknowledge that he has met his mate his world is turned upside down after guards catch two she-wolves running through his lands.
Once they are brought to him he finds himself once again facing his mate and discovers that she's hiding secrets that will make him want to kill more than one person.

Can they both work on letting go of the past and moving forward together or will fate have different plans and keep them apart?
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The War God Alpha's Arranged Bride
Yet Alexander made his decision clear to the world: “Evelyn is the only woman I will ever marry.”
Invisible To Her Bully
My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate
My drunk stepfather remained indifferent, his weight suffocating, making it hard to breathe as my heart raced.
Suddenly, the door slammed open, and two figures burst in.
"Get off her!" a deafening roar echoed.
I didn't expect the twin brothers who'd bullied me at school to come charging in like gods to save me.
After my grandmother passed, I had to move in with my mom and stepdad, who treated me like a servant. I prayed every day for my 18th birthday to come, so l could leave and escape this broken home.
However, on my first day at my new school, l encountered the legendary twins everyone feared.
To make matters worse, the Moon Goddess revealed they were both my mates!
After helping me out with my stepdad, my twin mate cornered me, played with my hair, and whispered possessively, "You belong to us, our little mate..."
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
