Introduction
What starts as a cold business transaction soon ignites into something far more dangerous—an entanglement of passion, resentment, and secrets neither of them saw coming. As their three-year contract nears its end, lines blur, and Aaron realizes he might lose more than just his inheritance.
But when Venus disappears, Aaron is forced to confront the truth—about his past, their relationship, and the price of the future he wants.
Some contracts can be broken. Others… can ruin you.
Will Aaron risk everything, or is it already too late?
Chapter 1
VENUS
“You’ll be fine, Mom, I promise. My job pays well, and I have savings, we’ll be able to pay for your chemo soon.” I said with happiness I didn’t feel, but I have to be strong for both of us.
“You shouldn’t waste your time on me, Venus. It’s not your duty to do all this for me. You’re only twenty-two. You should be having the time of your life,” she said weakly.
“Nonsense. You don’t worry about a single thing, okay? I’ll take care of everything. I promise.” I smoothed back her hair and kissed her forehead.
“How’s your dad?’ she asked, not meeting my eye. Of course, she can’t. Her husband hasn’t come to see her since she was diagnosed and admitted.
I hated him; I hated Dain with every being in me. He was a drunken freeloader who lived off me and my mom and abused her. He abused me when I was a child but stopped when I grew up and, got a job, and threatened to cut him off. Even with his wretched behaviour, my mom refuses to let me throw him out.
“He went out on Sunday and hasn’t returned since then”, I replied dryly “I haven’t heard from him, and it's good because I have a semblance of peace, and I can carry out my work effectively”
“Venus”, she started, but I cut her off. I didn’t want to hear the same old excuse she made for him. I hated the man.
“I have to go, Mom or I’ll be late for work, I’ll see you when I get off” I packed my stuff and hugged her.
“Thanks for coming to see me every day, Venus, I don’t deserve you”
“Don’t thank me, mom, I’m your daughter.” With that, I left her ward.
I hailed a cab and got in. I told the driver my destination, and he started to drive. I checked my bag to see if the file my boss gave me to work on was intact—I’m paranoid like that. You’d be, too, if you worked for Aaron Sinclair. He is a devil wrapped in designer suits and sinful charm. He is good-looking, and he knows it. He walks into a room like he owns it—well, I guess he does. Broad shoulders, sharp jawline and hazel-coloured eyes. There’s danger in his smirk, a promise of ruin and pleasure in equal measure—I’ve only known his scowls and looks of disdain. Now, I could go on about how good-looking or well-sculpted he was, but I’ll leave it at that because, no matter how much of every woman’s wet dream he is, he’s my nightmare.
I don’t hate people except for my dad, but what I feel for my boss comes close. I’ve been working with him for two months now, and I’m pretty sure he has it out for me, he’s hated me since the first day I came to work for him, and I’m honestly surprised he hasn’t fired me yet. Well, he has no plausible reason to since I always deliver. He’d intentionally make things difficult for me and task me with an obscene amount of work with little deadline, but I always managed to pull through every single time. It's tasking and draining; I barely get four hours of sleep daily. I know what you’ll ask next, well, if it’s that daunting, why don’t you quit?
Simple. The pay. I had been a waitress before I landed this job, and it didn’t quite sustain us. I have a degree in business management, and I worked several jobs to get through college. Now, with my mom’s cancer, I couldn’t afford to lose a job like this because there’s no assurance I'd get another.
The cab driver stopped at the front of the building, I paid him and got out, looking at the building before letting out a resigned sigh. Here we go again.
Immediately I got into my office, which was attached to Mr. Sinclair’s, the intercom rang and I picked it up.
“My office now,” his voice said from the phone. “God, please help me.” With that, I made my way to his office and knocked.
“Come in” I opened the door.
“Good morning, Mr. Sinclair, you asked for me?”
“Have a seat,” he said, his voice laced with irritation—something I’ve become accustomed to. Strange. I did as he asked. There was a tense silence for a few minutes when he broke it, his words leaving me stunned.
“Marry me"

A temperamental romance novel.
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?
A Lesson in Magic
From Substitute To Queen
Heartbroken, Sable discovered Darrell having sex with his ex in their bed, while secretly transferring hundreds of thousands to support that woman.
Even worse was overhearing Darrell laugh to his friends: "She's useful—obedient, doesn't cause trouble, handles housework, and I can fuck her whenever I need relief. She's basically a live-in maid with benefits." He made crude thrusting gestures, sending his friends into laughter.
In despair, Sable left, reclaimed her true identity, and married her childhood neighbor—Lycan King Caelan, nine years her senior and her fated mate. Now Darrell desperately tries to win her back. How will her revenge unfold?
From substitute to queen—her revenge has just begun!
The Lycan Kings and the White Wolf.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
Triplet Alpha: My Fated Mates
"No." "I'm fine."
"Fuck," he breathes. "You're—"
"Don't." My voice cracks. "Please don't say it."
"Aroused." He says it anyway. "You're aroused."
"I'm not—"
"Your scent." His nostrils flare. "Kara, you smell like—"
"Stop." I cover my face with my hands. "Just—stop."
Then his hand on my wrist, pulling my hands away.
"There's nothing wrong with wanting us," he says softly. "It's natural. You're our mate. We're yours."
"I know." My voice is barely a whisper.
I spent ten years as a ghost in the Sterling mansion—a debt slave to the triplet Alphas who made my life hell. They called me "Carrot," shoved me into frozen rivers, and left me to die in the snow when I was eleven.
On my eighteenth birthday, everything changed. My first shift released a scent of white musk and first snow—and three former tormentors stood outside my door, claiming I was their fated mate. All three of them.
Overnight, the debt vanished. Asher's commands turned to vows, Blake's fists became trembling apologies, and Cole swore they'd been waiting for me all along. They declared me their Luna and promised to spend their lives atoning.
My wolf howls to accept them. But one question haunts me:
Would that eleven-year-old girl, freezing and certain she would die, forgive the choice I'm about to make?
