Introduction
Chapter 1
Almost One Year Later
The room carried the faint scent of sandalwood and rain. Outside, a summer storm swept across the old windows in slow, rhythmic waves, each roll of thunder lingering just long enough to hum through the hardwood floors beneath Dahlia’s bare feet. Candlelight danced against the bedroom walls, softening every edge until the space felt suspended somewhere between memory and dream.
She smiled.
Not the practiced smile she’d worn for years because someone expected it. This one belonged to her. It settled naturally, warming her from the inside out, reaching places she hadn’t realized had gone cold. A year ago, she wouldn’t have recognized the woman standing here. A year ago, she would have apologized for making people wait; now she simply breathed.
Three men watched her with quiet, unwavering attention, not impatient, not demanding, just… waiting.
Mason stood nearest the doorway, broad enough to make the frame look narrow around him. Dark hair fell slightly out of place over his forehead, a few strands of silver catching near his temples. His T-shirt stretched across a heavy chest and thick shoulders, his hands hanging loose at his sides, knuckles scarred and callused from years of work.
Across the room, Callum leaned against the dresser in a black T-shirt, tattooed forearms crossed loosely over his chest. His hair was longer through the center, textured and deliberately messy, the darker sides cut close. He wasn’t staring exactly, but his gaze lingered in that particular way of his, like he was always noticing one detail more than everyone else.
Noah sat on the edge of the bed, forearms resting on his knees. He looked the most put together of the three even dressed casually, his short dark hair neat, his build unmistakably athletic without seeming showy. One corner of his mouth lifted when their eyes met.
Dahlia had once mistaken loudness for strength. These men had quietly rewritten the definition: no one moved, no one reached, no one assumed.
Mason finally broke the silence, “You still have time to change your mind, Baby Girl.”
A laugh escaped her before she could stop it, “I know.”
“I’m serious.”
“So am I.”
His expression didn’t change, but something softened around his eyes, “I just need to hear it.”
“You have.”
“I’ll keep asking.”
The words should have sounded excessive, instead, they felt like home.
Noah’s voice slipped gently into the quiet, “Tell us the rules, Princess.”
She answered without hesitation, “Red means stop. Yellow means slow down or check in. Green means everything’s good. If I can’t speak, three taps or three squeezes.”
They didn't interrupted, no one nodded as though they already knew.
They listened.
Callum pushed away from the dresser and crossed the room, stopping close enough for her to see the warmth in his eyes but leaving the final step between them untouched.
“We don’t get this wrong, Pretty Girl.”
“I know.”
“If anything changes—”
“I’ll tell you.”
“If you need us to stop—”
“You will.”
A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth, “I think we’ve made damn sure you know.”
The room grew impossibly still, not because anyone was uncertain, because every one of them understood the weight of those words. They’d never asked her to take their word for it, they’d shown her. In a hundred small ways. In patience that never came with expectation. In boundaries respected without disappointment. In every moment they’d chosen her comfort over their own desires. Until trust stopped feeling like something she had to force herself to give them. It had simply become something they’d earned. There had been a time when Dahlia believed love sounded like criticism.
Now it sounded like questions.
Questions that expected honest answers.
Questions she never had to be afraid of.
Mason extended his hand toward her, waiting, not expecting but patience.
She placed hers in his.
He smiled, “Ready?”
Dahlia met each of their eyes in turn. There wasn’t an ounce of hesitation left inside her, “Yes.”
Something softened across all three men’s faces, not triumph but relief.
Mason moved first, slow and deliberate, “Arms up for me, beautiful.” His voice was low, rough with want but steady. He waited until she lifted them, then guided her wrists together, wrapping soft black rope around them with practiced. “Too tight?” He checked the knots, sliding two fingers beneath the bindings, “Color?”
“Green,” she breathed, already aching.
Callum’s fingers brushed her ankle as he secured her legs to the bedposts, spreading her open but not uncomfortably, “Breathe, Dahlia. We’ve got you.”
His touch lingered, reverent, tracing the curve of her calf like it was a canvas he wanted to memorize.
Noah settled beside her, his hand skimming lightly up her ribs, never quite where she needed him most.
“Look at you,” he murmured, voice warm with awe, “so fucking perfect. You know that, right?”
They worshipped her with mouths and hands and words. Mason’s lips found the hollow of her throat, sucking gently until she arched. Callum kissed down her spine as far as the ropes allowed, tongue tracing the sensitive dip at the small of her back. Noah teased her breasts with slow, deliberate circles of his tongue, never biting, never rushing, only building. Their hands mapped every inch of her: the softness of her belly, the flare of her hips, the trembling inside of her thighs. Their praise came in low, heated murmurs—how wet she already was for them, how beautifully she responded, how strong she was, how completely she belonged right here, beneath their hands. She had chosen them, and they cherished that choice with a possessiveness that left no room to question just how fiercely they considered themselves hers in return.
The ache between her legs grew unbearable, a deep, pulsing need. Her hips rolled helplessly into empty air. She was so close—god, she was so close—and no one had even brushed touched her where she needed yet. Just their heat, their voices, their devotion pushing her higher and higher until she was trembling on the edge, whimpering their names like a prayer.
“Please—” she gasped.
Mason’s hand finally slid down, hovering just above where she needed him, “We’re just getting started, Baby Girl.”
A shiver rolled through her at the promise in his voice. Outside, rain battered the windows, thunder rolling somewhere beyond the walls. Inside, Dahlia was surrounded by warmth, by hands she trusted, by three men who knew exactly what she was asking for—and had every intention of making her wait for it.
She had spent six years believing love required shrinking.
She had been wrong.

I fell to my knees, the cold marble digging into my skin. I had studied for years in the flickering candlelight, memorizing every herb and poison to pass the healer's exam. I wanted freedom. I wanted to save my mother from the servant's quarters. I placed second. I thought I had won my life back.
But the King didn't give me a badge of honor. He gave me a death sentence.
"Raven Thorne shall be wed to the King of Grok," he announced, his voice echoing in the silent hall. Princess Ellie, the woman who had tormented me for years, slapped her hands over her mouth to hide her cruel laughter. She was supposed to marry the Beast. Now, I was the lamb being sent to the slaughter in her place.
They say King Liam drinks the blood of his enemies. They say he is more monster than man. And now, I have to walk into his bedroom, wearing the Princess's silk gown, and pray he doesn't tear me apart.
I looked at the King, tears streaming down my face. "I'll do it," I whispered, my voice trembling. "But my mother must be safe."
I sold my body and soul to a monster to save her. But when the carriage door opened and I finally looked into the Beast's golden eyes, I realized the terrifying truth...
He wasn't a stranger. He was the man I met in the woods.
