Chapter 1
Short Story's Blurb:
After five years together, I, Vesta Blake, find out Lucien, my Alpha mate, has canceled our anniversary dinner date to spend time with Charmaine, the Beta's daughter he's been close to since childhood. The betrayal sinks in as I confront him, his dismissive response shattering the love I've held onto for so long. Deciding enough is enough, I break up with him and reclaim my independence. But Alpha Lucien starts to start chasing me, craving me even after our break-up and rejection.

Chapter 1: The Breakup
Five years have been nothing now that he had chosen her over me.
The full moon outside the window could have been the perfect company for me and Alpha Lucien’s anniversary dinner date had it not been for Charmaine—the Beta’s daughter who captured his heart ever since they were young. For once, I thought they were just friends. But it seems, I’m the one who looks like vying for Alpha Lucien’s attention.
My phone vibrated again. Another picture of them circulated online, this time more intimate than the one I saw earlier. I never thought I’d be spending me and my mate’s anniversary like this: staring at the picture of Charmaine and Alpha Lucien kissing her cheeks in a bright and jolly background.
The pack is becoming more involved in our relationship too, commenting with things like “Yay, Alpha Lucien and Charmaine? My dream couple!” and “Marry her already, Alpha Lucien! Dump your girlfriend somewhere and leave her be!”
I read Charmaine’s caption on her post again, every word makes me nauseous more and more. “Thank you, Alpha Lucien. You always make me the number one priority in your life!”
That says enough. Standing from my seat in the restaurant, I walked straight to the exit. After finding my car in the garage, I locked myself there like it was some semblance of a cage—as if being in a relationship with Alpha Lucien while he pampers another woman isn’t a cage enough.
My phone chimed once. It seems I haven’t really run away from the problem after all.
This time, a video showed how Alpha Lucien wasn’t ashamed of showing intimacy on camera—with Charmaine, burying his face on Charm’s lovely neck.
I heaved a deep sigh. This day...this day should be happy for me. But it was only Lucien who was happy and celebrating.
I was left here in my car crying because my boyfriend didn’t show up on our anniversary date.
I shook my head and tried to wipe my face from my tears. But the tears kept coming faster, my tongue could now taste the foulness and saltiness of Lucien’s betrayal.
I closed my eyes and I could hear Lucien’s laughter together with Charmaine’s snickering. I can hear the music and their party and their merriment.
I opened my eyes and reality slapped me: I’m never going to be happy with Alpha Lucien. He just proved it now when he chose Charmaine over me.
A Few Hours Ago…
“Vesta, I’ll be late for tonight’s anniversary dinner. Something unexpected came up.” His voice was void of emotions. I can almost hear him sighing heavily on the other line.
“Okay,” I replied, my voice shaking. He hung up first before I could say more.
I grip my phone at what he just said. At least he remembered that today is our anniversary.
After a day of working straight, I arrived early at the penthouse we shared, finding myself a seat next to the floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the buzzing city outside with a glass of wine in my other hand.
“We’ll celebrate in the restaurant where we had our first date,” he promised last night. I shouldn’t have held on to the promises of my Alpha given that he has other priorities of his own.
An hour later and I’m now sitting on our usual seat at our favorite restaurant. I was even wearing the dress when Lucien and I became an official couple. He was my boyfriend for five years ever since we were in the pack’s college. We didn’t immediately tell the world about us, not until we graduated.
Charmaine, Alpha Lucien, and Beta Thomas have been inseparable since they were young. Friends at heart and soul, that’s their motto. Charm was the only one with no actual title, though being the oldest Beta’s daughter is perhaps a title enough.
And perhaps it was a mistake to date him and love him. As a simple Omega with no myriad of connections or fancy background, the entire pack narrowed their eyes at me as if they were disgusted that I’m dating the would-be Alpha of the Brightheart Pack.
Three years ago, he became the official Alpha. Though he never promised me to be his Luna, being with him and was enough for me.
Another hour passed, and the waiter just kept on refilling my glass with wine as I refused to order food until my mate arrived.
Every minute that ticked by, my heart was a thunderous beat in my ears. Cold sweat formed on my forehead. I was anxious that—that he wouldn’t show up again. That I will be left here hoping forward to nothing again.
My fear came true when my phone lit up. I saw who was with Lucien. I ran to my car to avoid being seen crying. I know some of the Brightheart Pack was working and dining in that restaurant. I had enough gossip already for today. I cannot be the reason for another set of gossip in the pack tomorrow.
With trembling fingers, I cleared my throat and dialed my mate’s number.
A cold, emotionless voice answered after the first ring. “What is it, Vesta? I’m attending a company dinner.”
Beyond his voice, the sounds of lively chatter and glass clinking and—is that fireworks?—made my lips curl in betrayal and anger.
“Where are you?” I asked casually as if I just didn’t cry a river for what he’d done.
“I’m at a business meeting. Party followed and dinner was served. What’s the matter?” I heard his footsteps walking towards a quieter place. I made him hear my sobbing this time. “Vesta, why are you crying?” Lucien paused and then groaned as if remembering what today was exactly. “Look. I’ll take you to a dinner date tomorrow, okay? Tonight is really busy. I promise I’ll be with you tomorrow.”
His last sentence made me punch the wheel of my car. “That’s what you said yesterday too!”
I don’t care if he got mad at my sudden outburst. Truth be told, he doesn’t sound like making up a lie but he doesn’t sound like telling the truth either.
I remember Beta Thomas once warned me about having a relationship with Lucien. Is this what he’s warning me about?
“Am I really your girlfriend or am I just some plaything to you?” I matched my voice with the coldness he usually uses.
“What kind of question is that, Vesta?”
“This doesn’t work anymore, Lucien—I can’t take it anymore!”
“What are you talking about? Are you drunk?!”
For a moment, I didn’t reply. And, as if the light from the Moon Goddess above enlightened me, I gripped my phone tighter as I said, “Let’s break up, Lucien. Let’s end our relationship here and now.”

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.

A Lesson in Magic
Claimed by the Alpha's Love
Four years ago, Fiona's meticulously planned conspiracy turned me from an ordinary omega into a prisoner carrying the weight of a murder charge.
Four years later, I return to a world that has changed beyond recognition.
My best friend Fiona, who is also my stepsister, has become the perfect daughter in my mother's eyes. And my ex-boyfriend, Ethan, is about to hold a high-profile mating ceremony with her.
The love, family bonds, and reputation that I once cherished have all been taken by Fiona.
Just when I had reached my breaking point, questioning the very purpose of my existence, the legendary Alpha Lucas of Moonhaven suddenly appeared in my life.
He is powerful and enigmatic, a figure that all werewolves hold in awe.
Yet, he shows an extraordinary persistence and tenderness towards me.
Is Lucas's appearance a gift from fate, or the start of another conspiracy?
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
