Ralph, who is reeling from the loss of his pregnant bondmate and constant rogue threats isn't looking for love - especially not with a human.

With secrets unraveling, sizzling romance tension, a wicked ex on her tail, pack danger lurking, and the need to fit in, will Beth find herself... or escape?
Can their bond survive the power of three? especially when Beth isn't as weak as they all think...
Chapter 1
Beth stood under the scorching heat of the sun. She was tired and hungry. Added to that, she couldn't locate her tent.
Jeez, if only she knew where Jason had gone.
Having both just returned from a hunt, he went off to gather woods to make a fire while she tried to trace their tent to no avail. Thankful that she had her backpack with her, she dipped her hand to retrieve her bottle and let out a sound of frustration when it came up empty.
Fuck, where was Jason when she needed him?
"Jason!"
Sweat trailed down her neck as she trudged forward, weaving past a row of tents.
She entered the next tent and a man sitting cross legged over a fire grinned at her as he grilled a piece of meat.
"Hello, beautiful. To what do I owe this pleasure?" he said.
"Uh-huh, sorry to intrude. I'm looking for a man; tall, tanned skin with a neck tattoo."
He raised his steak to eye level and grinned.
She blinked confusedly.
"Is he this piece I'm devouring? I don't mind you coming closer to inspect," he chuckled, chewing off the steak.
She scoffed and turned away, irritated by his laughter. What exactly was funny? Gosh, it was why she couldn't keep friends.
She ducked into the next tent and froze, her face flushing pink at the sight before her - a man fucking a girl, his back muscles flexing as he slammed into her, shaking the little camp bed.
Blushing, she turned away. How had she been oblivious to their loud moans?
"Say my name," a voice growled.
Beth stopped.
"Who does this pussy belong to? say my name," the voice repeated.
A loud moan. "You, yess, Jason. Yess."
Beth turned around and really looked. Then she saw what she'd been blind to. The man was faced away from her, pumping into the woman whose legs was firmly locked around his waist. But then, there was the neck tattoo, there was the voice that sounded too familiar.
At the corner, together with a heap of clothes, there was a pair of shoes that looked exactly like the one she wore the night before.
Her blood ran cold.
No. Please, no.
"You like it, don't you?" The too familiar voice growled. "You like my hands around your throat."
Beth quickly slapped a hand over her mouth but it was too late. A sob tore out of her.
The woman threw a glance at Beth's direction, she shrieked, a surprise gasp escaping her lips when she saw her. "What the hell?"
Jason paused mid stroke, he followed the girl's eye movement and froze. Then he was scrambling off her, wrapping the bed sheets around his waist as he did.
"Hey, you lost your way or something?" The woman said.
Beth stood rooted to the spot, her eyes glued to the girl's naked body; plump body, round heavy breasts that looked too big for her stature - obviously fake. This was who Jason cheated with. After all the months of prompting her to lose weight. He cheated with someone twice her size.
"Is this bitch crazy, what do you want?" the woman snapped, crossing her arms over her chest.
Her gaze flicked to Jason and she arched a brow. "You know her?"
"It's complicated," Jason muttered, approaching her.
"Beth," he called reaching for her, "It's not what you think."
Beth snapped out of shock. "Don't you dare touch me," she warned. Blinking back tears, she turned away and moved out of the tent.
Almost Immediately, a hand closed around her wrist, stopping her from moving further. Another loud sob escaped her throat, drawing the attention of those around.
"Beth please, I can explain..."
"Let me go," she yelled, wrenching her arm from his. "You cheating piece of shit," she said, turning away.
"Isn't it what you want?" Jason said quietly.
A tear escaped from her eyes as she turned to look at him. "What?"
"I can see it in your eyes," Jason started, "you want out of this relationship. For days you've barely spoken a word to me and all of a sudden you suggest this hike. I understand if you want space or if you'd like to keep our relationship open till you want us back."
Her stomach dropped, she couldn't breath for some seconds. "You-you think that's what my moodiness is about? You think I'd splurge my savings on this hike because I want an open relationship?"
"Then what..." Jason frowned. "Splurge your savings? What do you mean?"
"I..I was going to tell you..."
A throat cleared and Beth jumped.
The woman stood at the entrance of the tent fully dressed, arms folded by her chest. "What is going on?" she asked.
Beth watched a smile spread though Jason's face.
"Just a slight misunderstanding, Scarlett," he said. "Go wait for me, I'll join you shortly."
"Be fast, I don't like to be kept waiting," the woman - Scarlett said, moving back into the tent.
Beth felt a knife skewer through her already shredded heart. "Jason, you..you..you..."
Jason glanced around and grimaced. "You're embarrassing me. Just go wait in our tent, I'm coming," he said and turned back into the tent.
His words hit her like a slap.
A dream. That was what it was. Beth dug her nails deep into her palm and the biting pain distracted her from the one in her chest. So she dug her fingers deeper.
Her eyes flicked to the tent Jason disappeared into and she bit her tongue to swallow a sound from escaping.
Slowly, she retraced her steps, making her way out of the small gathering. She wouldn't break down here. No, she wouldn't.
She couldn't look into anyone's faces, she couldn't bare to see the pity that would be etched on them. So she looked down, counting one to ten as she walked away.
"Young miss, did you lost your way?" a voice jarred her as she trudged deeper into the woods.
Beth threw a look at an old man on a bicycle and ignored him.
"That's a wrong path you're headed," he said, approaching her.
"Fuck off," Beth snapped and burst into a run.
She ran till she couldn't feel her legs.
Four years of being completely loyal to Jason, four years of trying to please him, four years of letting her world revolve around him. God, her heart couldn't take it.
She saw a small cave ahead, it was the perfect solitude she needed. She entered and slipped to the hard floor.
Only then did she let it out; the tears from the pain and betrayal in her heart.
Never again. Never would let her life completely evolve around a man.
Beth woke up feeling cold all over. Her teeth clattered loudly and her body quivered from the iciness in her veins.
She had fallen asleep on the cold hard floor.
A fire. She needed a fire.
She tried to get up but her hands and legs were numbed so she curled into herself and hugged her backpack tight.
She opened her mouth to scream for help but nothing came out.
"H-help," she tried again and it came out barely above a broken whisper, her breaths ragged from trying to speak.
The realization hit her then, she was going to die, alone.
Her eye watered and for the first time in a long while, she made a silent prayer. "Please God, or whatever entity that listens, help me."
