Goddess Of The Underworld: The Goddess Legacy (Book One)
Sheridan Hartin · Completed · 311.1k Words
Introduction
When the veil between the Divine, the Living, and the Dead begins to crack, Envy is thrust beneath with a job she can’t drop: keep the worlds from bleeding together, shepherd the lost, and make ordinary into armor, breakfasts, bedtime, battle plans. Peace lasts exactly one lullaby. This is the story of a border pup who became a goddess by choosing her family; of four imperfect alphas learning how to stay; of cake, iron, and daylight negotiations. Steamy, fierce, and full of heart, Goddess of the Underworld is a reverse harem, found-family paranormal romance where love writes the rules and keeps three realms from falling apart.
Chapter 1
Envy
Blood splatters across my cheek as another rogue wolf’s head drops onto the damp grass. The warmth of it settles against my skin like a strange kind of blessing in the cool night air. I pull my sword back and spin sharply on my heel before the next pouncing wolf’s teeth can snap shut over my shoulder. My blade slices clean from one side of its jaw down the length of its dark grey, matted fur. It whimpers once before I swing again and take its head too. Seven rogue bodies lie dead around me, their blood soaking into the ground. I hear the soft patter of movement and shift into another stance, ready to strike, but the wolf ahead shifts mid-stride.
"Easy there, little warrior, it's just me."
Juls, one of the patrolling guards, approaches with his hands raised. "You really did a number on them this time." He whistles low as he surveys the mess.
"Yeah, thanks for the help and all," I grumble. He only laughs and ruffles my hair.
"You didn’t need my help. Besides, I reckon this will be your year."
My year to turn eighteen and finally get my wolf is what he means. Since I was left on the pack’s border when I was a baby, no one knows when my birthday is, so no one knows when my wolf will show. Being an orphan also means I'm disposable. The warriors raised me, and when I was little, they used to take me along on patrol so they could feed me and keep an eye on me. Sometimes they took me home to their mates, but most of my life has been spent on the front lines of the pack borders. When they decided I was about twelve and I got my first kill, Alpha Marcus started giving me a wage and put me on my own patrol shifts that fit around my school schedule. I’ve never had much to spend money on since I live at the packhouse with the others who don’t own a home yet. Food is free, and all that’s expected is that we clean up after ourselves and take the occasional kitchen shift. I take almost every dinner shift there is because it fits my routine. Patrol at dawn, school, patrol again, dinner shift, sleep. Repeat.
Thanks to the rogues, I’m now late for that dinner shift, but I’m sure Jenny will cover me.
"I can only pray this is my year, Juls."
"Don’t worry, kiddo. Even without your wolf, you’ve always held your own better than most who have one."
I sigh and drag one of the rogue bodies toward the bonfire pit, where we burn them on this side of the border.
"Yeah, I know, but…" I shrug. "It would just be great to feel connected to someone."
Juls drops the body he’s hauling and folds his arms across his chest.
"You're connected to us. All of us. We will always be your family, kiddo."
His eyes glaze over in a mind link, and I wait for him to finish.
"Alpha wants to talk to you. Said not to worry about the dinner shift, Jenny has it covered."
"You good with these?" I nod to the bodies.
"You know I am. Go." He flicks his hand at me.
Ten minutes later, I’m outside the Alpha’s office, trying to wipe the blood off my face, but all I succeed in doing is smearing it more.
"Come in, Envy." Alpha Marcus’s voice carries through the thick wooden door.
"Alpha Marcus," I greet with a bow.
"Julian said you encountered another rogue attack." He gestures to the chair across from his desk. I unsheathe my twin swords and place them on the desk before I sit, careful to only perch on the edge so I don’t ruin Luna's beloved furniture.
"Seven of them," I say flatly.
"You did well."
"Thank you, Alpha."
He leans back. "Alpha Charles from the Red Moon pack has heard about your skills. He asked me to extend an offer to you. A well-paid offer."
"Oh?"
"It’s quite an honour. His daughter, Aleisha, is around the same age as you. She’s mated to their future Beta, so she’ll be the Beta female one day, and he wants her properly trained."
"She hasn’t been trained?"
"She has, but not to a standard he’s satisfied with. He wants you to train with her. I’ll be taking you off afternoon patrols. After school, you’ll travel to Red Moon and train for two hours each day. Would that suit you?"
"Yes, Alpha. It would be an honour."
"Perfect. I’ll inform Alpha Charles that you'll start tomorrow. Now, go meet with Beta Felix in the garage. He has a surprise for you."
I leave with a strange fluttering feeling in my stomach. I know I’m good. I’ve trained since before I could walk. But being recognised for it? That hits differently. Maybe this is what it feels like when a parent praises you.
I find Beta Felix outside the garage, practically vibrating with excitement. He’s the closest thing I’ve ever had to a parent. He was the one who found me at the border and convinced Alpha Marcus to let the warriors keep me.
"Hello, little warrior!"
"Beta Felix. To what do I owe the pleasure?"
"You know that bike we’ve been working on?" His grin widens as he opens the garage. "Well, it’s finished."
There it sits, gleaming under the lights. The pet project we’ve pieced together for over a year. Part by part, bolt by bolt. Our own custom CBR1000. Black as night. Sleek as sin. Fast enough to blow the skin off your face.
"Wow. She’s beautiful…" I run my hand along the smooth bodywork. This is the third one we’ve built together. Felix has been teaching me to tinker since I was small. The first was a CBR600 he used to teach me how to ride. The second was a lime green 1000, sexy as hell, which he immediately claimed as his own.
"You’ve earned this one." He tosses me the keys.
"No fucking way. Really?"
"Really, really. Go wipe your face and grab your gear. We’re taking this baby out for a ride."

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...

George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.

The War God Alpha's Arranged Bride
Yet Alexander made his decision clear to the world: “Evelyn is the only woman I will ever marry.”
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...
Angelina, the most powerful Alpha who conquered forty-nine packs, dies in a yacht explosion—only to wake up as Aria Sterling, a fifteen-year-old Omega's daughter who just died from bullying.
The original Aria's life was a nightmare. Humiliated when golden boy Kai Matthews posted her love letter online, then shoved to death by his girlfriend Bella Morrison. But that's not all her family faces:
"You got until Monday," the tattooed gangster sneered at Aria's mother. "Ten grand cash. Or I'm taking collateral—your kids' organs fetch top dollar. That pretty daughter of yours? She could make us money another way too."
Now Angelina's lethal combat skills awaken in this fragile body. No more hiding. No more fear.
Armed with an Alpha's ruthlessness and a mysterious blood-red pendant, she'll dismantle everyone who hurt this family—one calculated move at a time.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
