Samantha K. Whyte · Ongoing · 40.5k Words
Introduction
And she absolutely detests marriage and commitment.
There comes Mandall Hall, the man that might just change her mind about what marriage, love and commitment and what it truly means.
Chapter 1
"Have you seen the bride? They say she's stunning."
"Really? Let's go take a picture with her in the bridal waiting room."
The venue of the wedding of the century, is packed to the brim with so many people of worth. Ambassadors, Senators, CEOs, Men of class and money, Elites and so many influential people...
The Worth family is not to be belittled and neither are the Halls. Both families are worth zillions of dollars in monthly net worth... Monthly.
In the bridal room, she sits, smiling for the camera while she's surrounded by people who have come to attend her wedding and wish her well.
"You're so beautiful, I can't wait to see the groom."
She laughs elegantly, not too loud and not to chaotic, earning herself some envious looks from the still single ladies around her.
"Thank you everyone, the wedding will soon start, how about you all head into the hall?" She asks, her eyes shining in politeness as she sends all of her well wishers into the hall. "Thank you once again, your presence at my wedding is deeply appreciated."
They all nod, giving her their last shreds of wishes before they all clear out of the bridal waiting room, leaving her with the woman behind the camera.
"Would you like to take a picture of just yourself?"
Bethany shrugs. "Sure." She smiles, her dimples popping out deeply on both sides of her cheeks as the camera flashes.
"That's so beautiful." The camera woman gushes.
"Thank you. I think you should go into the hall now, we'll soon be making our entrance anyway, so you'll be prepared ahead?"
"Sure ma'am. See you inside." She grabs her camera and the tripod and heads out.
As soon as the doors click behind her, Bethany springs to her feet, her smile wiped off, replaced with an uncomfortable look. She raises her flowing gown and manages to peer down at her shoe. "Dang, I told that lady that it was a size too small. All the fuss about a wedding, ugh." She collapses back into the long couch, letting her flower just stay on her stomach, her face turned upwards. "Ugh." She groans again.
She hears the sound of the door and tries to straighten her smile before facing whoever is there.
"Sorry but I am not taking pictures any..." She looks up at the man that stands in front of her. "What do you want here? Why the hell are you here?"
"I just came to wish you well in your new marriage. You? You want to get married?" He scoffs, his one right eye raised in disbelief.
"What do you know about me?"
"I know a ton. All the time we spent together and you think I don't know anything? You loathe commitment. I pity the man you're marrying now... You're a selfish..."
"Get out!" She screams suddenly, she's hurt but she doesn't let tears come into her eyes. "Get the fuck out of this room."
"Oh, I'm going inside. I'm going to see you walk down the aisle with whoever your pathetic man is. You're a selfish woman who does not care about anything else but yourself. Once again, I pity him already. I wonder if I can do something to make him say no at the altar." He smirks condescendingly at her before heading for the door. "Oh, I don't wish you a happy married life."
Speechless, she hears as the door slams behind him and her hands holding the flowers fist up, wanting to punch something. She pushes herself up from the chair, aiming for the wall but then the door immediately opens, stopping her in her tracks.
She immediately fakes a smile.
It's one of the wedding attendants.
"Come on out now ma'am, it'll soon be time for your father to walk you down the aisle."
Turning her legs dramatically away from the wall she's headed to, she walks to the door instead, taking small and slow calculated steps to show how elegant she is.
Bethany Worth walks to the closed doors where her Dad, Paul Worth is beaming at her, watching her as she walks over to him where he stands.
"Oh my goodness dear. You look so beautiful."
She keeps her head and eyes straight, saying nothing.
Paul keeps quiet and takes her elbows in the traditional way of the father walking the daughter down the aisle... It's just a pity that he's her father on paper. There's never been the true closeness parents have with their children between Bethany and her own parents.
Something always came up and they never had time for her, now she's grown distant from them and doesn't exactly like them... In one way, she despises marriage because of them.
But for now, it's a story for another day.
The doors to the wedding hall opens and a loud, deafening applause ring out through the doors, Bethany smiles her million dollar smile as she walks down the small hall with her Dad.
Paul actually has a few drops of tears drop from his eyes but Beth's are absolutely dry and clean, shiny and happy...
Happy?
Duh.
All pretense, all fake.
Bethany raises her head to the altar where her groom is waiting. She smiles at him, maybe this one is not entirely fake.
He, on the other hand, looks like he's seen a ghost. Is he that shocked to see her so fine? Or is that his own imitation of someone who's in love?
She rolls her eyes subtly as Paul lets her go at the end of the walk. He wipes his eyes dramatically once again and goes to sit beside his wife and Bethany's mum, Anastasia Worth.
Bethany, standing in front of her groom and to be husband, looks right into his eyes and she shares a knowing smile, he just turns to the priest that has come to stand in front of them.
She swallows a scowl.
The priest, beaming at them, asks them to share their vows. "Miss Worth, can you share your vows with us?"
Bethany clears her throat and squares her shoulders. "Mandall Hall, the first time I saw you and heard your name, I thought you were a doofus..." That's not totally a lie and that gets a laugh from the audience. Bethany smiles and continues. "But you've gone on, since then, to prove yourself worthy as a man that is worth keeping for life. I'll stick to you even when times are tough and when things are rough, so help me G..." She pauses and closes her eyes so briefly that it almost goes unnoticed. She's about to lie using the deity's name. "So help be Gob." She chooses to not say the name.
But with the heavy accent she's got, it almost goes unnoticed, the priest frowns, wondering if he misheard but she's smiling so he just shrugs it off.
The audience awws and applauds.
"Mr Hall, please share your vows."
"Bethany Worth, you're a beautiful woman who is brave and doesn't hesitate to do what is right. That, has brought me to you. I'll also stick to you when times are tough and when things are rough. So help me God." He keeps his gaze level with hers as he says his vows, messing with her head.
The audience awws and applauds once again.
The priest smiles contentedly and looks into the crowd of people. "Before we go further and join them, if there is anyone who will not like their joining as one, please speak up now or keep your peace forever."
No response.
Who would anyway?
Bethany rolls her eyes, waiting for the whole furore to be over.
"For the last time, speak up now or keep your..."
"I'M AGAINST THIS WEDDING!" Someone yells in the crowd.
Everyone gasps and turns to look around.
Bethany, closes her eyes and facepalms, knowing that voice anywhere.
"Who are you?"
"My name is Anthony Moore and I am Bethany's Ex-Fiancee."

The Alpha King's Human Mate
“I have waited nine years for you. That’s nearly a decade since I’ve felt this emptiness inside me. Part of me began to wonder if you didn’t exist or you’d already died. And then I found you, right inside my own home.”
He used one of his hands to stroke my cheek and tingles erupted everywhere.
“I’ve spent enough time without you and I will not let anything else keep us apart. Not other wolves, not my drunken father who’s barely holding himself together the past twenty years, not your family – and not even you.”

The Wolf Prophies
Mated To The Cold Hearted Alpha
"You want me to fuck you, I know it"
"As much as you don't like me, you're my mate and you can't deny it."
He stood up behind me, one hand holding my hip, and leaned down, his breath ragged against my neck, his voice was husky,
"You'll listen to your body... what it wants... and my body... what it needs. Only the pleasure that a small bite can bring."
At the age of 15, I was shocked to hear the ruthless Alpha claim that I was his mate.
To make matters worse, he killed my father, who was trying to protect me. At that time, I successfully ran away from him.
However, when I turned 18, I fell into his trap again.
I hated him and wanted revenge, but the moon goddess had a different plan for me.
I was his mate, and we were fated to be together. No matter the circumstances, my body couldn't resist him.
The Luna's Vampire Prince
His hand is cool when it brushes a loose curl from my cheek, but I don’t jerk away from him. I have no idea what’s going on. I don’t understand why I’m here. I don’t know what will happen tomorrow. It seems like a lot of powerful people want me—dead or alive. And yet, all I can think about right now is how badly I want this vampire’s hands on my body.
I live in a desolate village on the edge of the Vampire King’s lands. This used to be wolf shifter territory, but now, we are just trying to survive.
When I mess up and find myself in a culling, I know I’m dead. No wolf shifters ever survive these events.
And after the stunt I pulled in the middle of the village, Prince Rafe probably wants me dead.
Is it a good thing or a bad thing when a vampire looks at you like you’re a snack?
Something tells me, once I reach the castle, I’ll be missing my miserable existence in the village.
But then—it turns out I have no freaking idea who I even am, and when the royals start referring to me as Princess Ainslee, I realize my life is about to take a turn—for better or worse.
