I Brought My Daughter's Ashes to His Affair
Juniper Marlow · Completed · 5.8k Words
Introduction
Her first real wish—the first one she was old enough to make herself—was to go to the beach with Daddy.
Gideon promised he would take her.
She waited for him all day. She was still asking for him when she took her last breath.
He never came.
I brought her ashes to the beach she'd always dreamed of. Let her finally see the ocean.
That's when I heard it—a woman's moan, low and breathy, coming from behind the rocks.
Then his voice. Then his name on her lips.
"Between me and Lily, who do you love more?"
"You. Obviously."
He was fucking his mistress on our daughter's dream beach—while I stood there holding her ashes.
When I finally confronted them, I didn't get an apology. I got a slap across the face.
And when his mistress caught my eye and smiled, I realized something.
She knew exactly when my daughter would die.
Chapter 1
My daughter died on her fifth birthday.
Her first real wish—the first one she was old enough to make herself—was to go to the beach with her dad.
Gideon Mercer, Alpha of Ravencrest Pack, promised he would take her.
He never showed up.
I held Lily's hand as she took her last breath. She kept asking for him. "Where's Daddy? Is Daddy coming?"
He wasn't.
I arranged the funeral alone. Now I was here, at the beach Lily had dreamed of, clutching her ashes against my chest.
She wanted the sea. She wanted to swim. But Lily had been sick her whole life—weak, fragile, always in and out of the Pack clinic. Never strong enough to do the things she dreamed of.
I came to scatter her ashes. Let her finally touch the ocean.
Then I heard it.
A woman's moan. Low, breathy. Coming from behind the rocks.
I froze.
I wasn't in the mood for other people's drama. Whoever was fucking on this beach could have their privacy. I turned to leave—
"Gideon... harder..."
My blood turned to ice.
I knew that voice. Soft, sweet, dripping with fake innocence.
Daphne.
I moved before I could stop myself. My feet carried me around the rocks, and there they were.
Gideon had her pressed against the stone, her legs wrapped around his waist. His hands gripped her thighs as he thrust into her, groaning against her neck.
The urn felt heavier in my arms.
"Gideon..." Daphne gasped between moans, "weren't you supposed to be with Lily today? She must be waiting for you..."
He didn't even slow down. "She has her mother. Elara loves using that kid to guilt-trip me."
"But Lily's been so sick lately..." Daphne's voice was sweet with concern. "What if she really needs you?"
"That kid's always sick." Gideon pulled back to look at her, still moving inside her. "Elara exaggerates every little thing. Like Lily would die if I missed one day."
My grip tightened on the urn.
She did die. She died waiting for you.
Daphne ran her fingers through his hair. "But what if something happens? I'd feel so guilty..."
"You're the one I need to take care of right now." He kissed her forehead, slowing his pace. "You're carrying my child."
"I know, but..." She bit her lip. "I'm just a human. I can't compare to your Luna..."
Gideon laughed. Cold, dismissive. "Luna? Elara bought that title with her parents' money. Nothing more."
"Then... between me and her, who do you care about more?"
"You. Obviously."
Daphne smiled, tracing his jaw. "And our baby? Will you love our baby like you love Lily?"
Gideon cupped her face. "Our child is the one I actually want."
Something inside me snapped.
"You fucking bastard."
They both froze.
Gideon pulled out of her immediately, grabbing his shirt to cover Daphne's body. He stepped in front of her, his eyes finding me in the darkness.
"Elara." His voice was ice. "Did you follow me here?"
I laughed. It came out broken, jagged. "Follow you? To my daughter's dream beach? The one she begged you to take her to?"
Daphne peeked out from behind him, clutching his shirt to her chest. "Luna, I'm so sorry... we didn't mean for you to see—"
"Shut up."
My wolf surged forward. I wanted to rip her throat out.
Gideon moved faster, blocking her completely. "Don't you dare, Elara. She's human. You touch her, you start a war between wolves and humans. Is that what you want?"
"A war?" I stared at him. "You're protecting her? Right now? After everything—"
"What I do with Daphne is none of your business." His jaw tightened. "You're my Luna in name only. Don't forget that."
"And Lily?" My voice cracked. "Was she your daughter in name only too?"
Something flickered in his eyes. He looked away. "Lily is my heir. That's different."
Daphne leaned into him, her voice soft and pitiful. "Gideon... my legs are shaking. You weren't gentle at all just now..."
He immediately softened, pulling her closer.
She looked at me over his shoulder. Smiled.
The urn burned against my chest.
I couldn't take it anymore. I lunged toward Daphne. "You disgusting—"
Pain exploded across my face.
Gideon's hand connected with my cheek so hard I stumbled, nearly dropping the urn. I caught it at the last second, clutching it to my body as I hit the sand.
"I warned you." He stood over me, eyes cold. "Touch her again, and Luna or not, I will end you."
Daphne rushed to his side, tears streaming down her face. "Gideon, don't... she's just upset... maybe Lily really is sick..."
"She's always 'sick.'" He wrapped an arm around Daphne, pulling her close. "Elara loves playing the victim. It's the only way she knows how to keep me tied to her."
Blood dripped from my lip onto the sand.
I looked up at them—my husband holding another woman, defending her against me, while I sat in the dirt clutching our daughter's ashes.

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.
Goddess Of The Underworld

Peace lasts exactly one lullaby. This is the story of an orphan pup who became a goddess by choosing her family; of four imperfect alphas learning how to be better. Steamy, fierce, and full of heart, Goddess of the Underworld is a reverse harem, found-family paranormal romance where love writes the rules and keeps three realms from falling apart.
Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.
