Chapter 1
“Zara, come on, have a drink,” a voice called out, pulling Zara’s attention.
She glanced over at her group of friends, wine glasses in hand, waving her over to join them.
“Nah,” Zara replied, turning back.
Her gaze fell once more on the striking face of Jax Parker, and she felt herself drawn toward him.
The rooftop was bathed in the glow of the city lights, stars barely visible against the backdrop of the urban skyline. Laughter floated through the air, glasses clinked, and a live jazz band played softly in the background. Chandeliers hung overhead, casting a warm, golden light over the elegantly dressed crowd.
As Zara approached Jax, she caught the spark in his eyes as they met hers, a glimmer that hinted at something more.
“Zara Parker…” he said with a delighted smile, his voice warm.
“Jax Benjamin…” she replied, looking at him with a mix of love and excitement.
Jax stood tall, exuding effortless confidence. His Tom Ford tuxedo fit him perfectly, sculpting his frame with precision and elegance, while his Prada shoes added a touch of contemporary style. Jax Benjamin was undeniably one of the most handsome men in California, his chiseled features and magnetic charisma commanding admiration wherever he went.
“What are you waiting for?” one of Zara’s friends called out, snapping her out of her trance.
She watched as Jax reached into his pocket, pulling out a small velvet box. His smile deepened, and as he stepped closer, her heartbeat quickened.
“Zara, my love…” he began softly, his words nearly drowned beneath the hum of music. “Tonight, I want to make this moment unforgettable.”
She turned toward him, her eyes wide with anticipation.
Jax was a vision of grace and allure, his sharp suit accentuating his natural charm, while the city lights cast a glow over his handsome features.
“Jax, what is it?” she asked, her voice breathless.
Jax opened the box, revealing a dazzling diamond ring.
“This,” he said, holding it out to her, “is for you.”
“Will you marry me?”
Zara’s hand flew to her mouth in surprise, her eyes filling with tears of happiness. She’d wondered if Jax had planned tonight’s party for this moment, but as her friends watched, phones at the ready to capture the proposal, she let herself embrace the magic of it, smiling as if in delightful shock.
“Oh, Jax, it’s beautiful! Yes, of course, yes!” Zara exclaimed, her voice brimming with excitement and joy.
With trembling hands, Jax slid the ring onto her finger, his touch lingering as she held his gaze. The connection between them felt deeper and more intense than ever before.
The air seemed charged with electricity, anticipation thick between them. She leaned in slowly, her lips brushing his in a teasing softness before claiming him in a kiss that was both tender and possessive. The heat between them ignited as her hands found their way to his waist, pulling him closer until their bodies pressed together. The kiss deepened, filled with raw emotion—love, desire, and the undeniable draw of something primal.
Zara’s heart raced, her breath hitching as Jax’s hands slipped around her neck, fingers weaving through her hair. The world around them faded, the music and distant laughter vanishing into nothing. In that moment, it was only them—entwined in each other, the promise of forever mixed with the fire of passion that burned between them. Every touch, every heartbeat spoke of their undeniable bond, as if their souls had been waiting for this moment long before their bodies met.
The world came rushing back as the crowd erupted in applause, pulling them from the intimate bubble they’d created. Cheers and congratulations filled the air, blending with the lively tempo of the band, swelling with new energy to match the excitement in the room.
“Oh my God… I can’t believe this!” one of Zara’s friends squealed, rushing over to grab her hand, eyes wide as she inspected the sparkling ring. Zara, still breathless from the kiss, smiled as her friends surrounded her, their excitement adding to the whirlwind of emotions swirling inside her. But even amidst the noise and celebration, her focus remained on Jax—his steady presence grounding her in the chaos of the moment, a silent promise that this was only the beginning.
More friends gathered around Jax and Zara, offering heartfelt congratulations and raising their glasses in toast.
“You two are the definition of a power couple! This is amazing!” Bob, a close friend of both Jax and Zara, said with raised eyebrows, his soft tone brimming with excitement.
Ella, Zara’s best friend, joined in. “I knew it! It was only a matter of time before you put a ring on her finger. You guys are perfect together.”
Jax smiled at the flood of congratulatory remarks, then gently took Zara’s hand in his. “Right now, I feel like the luckiest guy in the world. Zara, you’re stunning—every guy’s dream come to life. With your stunning beauty and magnetic charm, I know we can conquer anything together. I can’t wait to show you off to the world because you deserve to be admired for the incredible woman you are. You light up every room you enter, and I’m beyond thrilled to have you by my side.”
Zara’s heart raced as she met Jax’s gaze, her smile brightening. “You always know what to say to sweep me off my feet, don’t you? Jax, you’re not just the most handsome man in the room; you’re everything I’ve ever wanted. With you, life feels like an endless adventure filled with excitement. I can’t wait to see what our future holds—just think of all the incredible moments we’ll create together.”
“Come on, let’s dance!” Daniel, one of Jax’s friends, clapped his hand on Jax’s shoulder and said in a loud, celebratory voice.
“Yes, let’s celebrate the night with some dancing and wine!” Bob shouted, making his way to the dance floor.
Zara and Jax joined their friends, ready to soak in every moment of the night. Just before stepping onto the dance floor, Jax paused and turned to his manager, a confident grin on his face. “Did you get everything on video?”
His manager nodded enthusiastically. “Absolutely! I recorded the whole thing! I’m posting short clips of your engagement on Instagram and all your social media. They’re already blowing up with views!” he said, a hint of excitement in his voice. “Your followers are lighting up the comments and smashing those likes like crazy.”

Triplet Alpha: My Fated Mates
"No." "I'm fine."
"Fuck," he breathes. "You're—"
"Don't." My voice cracks. "Please don't say it."
"Aroused." He says it anyway. "You're aroused."
"I'm not—"
"Your scent." His nostrils flare. "Kara, you smell like—"
"Stop." I cover my face with my hands. "Just—stop."
Then his hand on my wrist, pulling my hands away.
"There's nothing wrong with wanting us," he says softly. "It's natural. You're our mate. We're yours."
"I know." My voice is barely a whisper.
I spent ten years as a ghost in the Sterling mansion—a debt slave to the triplet Alphas who made my life hell. They called me "Carrot," shoved me into frozen rivers, and left me to die in the snow when I was eleven.
On my eighteenth birthday, everything changed. My first shift released a scent of white musk and first snow—and three former tormentors stood outside my door, claiming I was their fated mate. All three of them.
Overnight, the debt vanished. Asher's commands turned to vows, Blake's fists became trembling apologies, and Cole swore they'd been waiting for me all along. They declared me their Luna and promised to spend their lives atoning.
My wolf howls to accept them. But one question haunts me:
Would that eleven-year-old girl, freezing and certain she would die, forgive the choice I'm about to make?
