Introduction
The assistant, Jacob, whose expression was a bit solemn, silently handed over the package.
He opened the package, which contained three documents:
The first one was a consent form for the donation of corneas and kidneys;
The second was a report from Washington Hospital on advanced brain cancer;
The third again was a pregnancy test issued by a Washington hospital.
He shuddered as he turned the last page of the document, all the signatures were hers...
"I'll sign the divorce papers, but I need you to promise me three things."
"First, will you smile at me? A real smile."
Andrew Barrett's slightly impatient face froze abruptly, and Jacob froze as well.
"Second, call me 'sweetie' or 'honey', like a husband to a wife."
Jacob had never seen such a simple request before, and at the same time, his heart overflowed with sourness because it was too simple, yet the man she was asking said coldly and stiffly:
"I can't."
Harper Flynn was at peace with herself because Andrew had let her down too many times, so even if she could not get whatever she wanted from him, she could also easily give up.
"Third, let me hug you. Then, I'll sign right away."
Harper reached out her hand, but the man's body remained tightly shut, standing there like a log.
At that moment, Jacob answered a phone call and his eyes lit up.
"Mr. Barrett, Dr. Chambers said that your cornea transplant is ahead of schedule and can be done at the same time as Ms. Wang's kidney transplant."
Within a short time, the three of them entered three separate adjoining operating rooms.
Harper lay on a cold operating table, with her hands resting on her abdomen, her eyes gently closed.
Baby, mommy wanted to hold out for you, but mommy was useless and couldn't hold out until you were born.
Her brain tumor was malignant, with a low success rate for surgery, and she once thought rather than die on the operating table, she'd rather be in pain and opt for conservative treatment. At least this way, she could still spend more time with Andrew.
But now, she was tired, so she'd have to take the baby with her.
At the same time, the red light came on in all three operating rooms.
In the door in the center, doctors removed fresh kidneys and corneas in vessels and stepped into the left and right door.
Jacob, who was waiting outside, watched in horror. Didn't Harper only donate kidneys?
Why would any doctor still come out holding a clear cornea and then walk into that operating room of Mr. Barrett's?!
Did...
Suddenly, from the center operating room came the doctor's panicked yell, "No! Cardiac arrest, how did this happen?"
Jacob was sweating profusely, his legs went limp, and he fell to the ground, muttering: "Mr. Barrett, you'll regret it, you'll definitely regret it..."
A month later, Andrew, who had regained his sight, did not see Harper show up.
He took out his phone and finally dialed the number.
It took a long time for the other side to answer. Andrew was a little impatient and spoke sharply: "Harper, hurry over and take your stuff away. It's taking up space!"
There was an "uh-huh" and a hang-up.
How long it took, he didn't know, but there was the sound of a door being pushed behind him.
"Mr. Barrett, I've come to pack up Harper's belongings for her."
The visitor was holding a picture frame in his arms, and the person in the black and white photo was clearly Harper!
Chapter 1
The night was as cool as water.
Harper leaned on the edge of the queen-size bed and looked into Andrew's eyes, openly and wantonly showing her obsession with him.
He was her husband, the man she had loved with all her heart.
Harper stretched out her finger, trembling a little as she traced his outline in the air, wanting so much to actually touch him...
What the doctor had said during the day echoed in her ears again.
"The CT scan showed that you had a tumor in your brain, malignant, commonly known as 'brain cancer'..."
Suddenly, she felt a warm trickle down her nose, followed by dark red liquid pouring out uncontrollably.
Harper panicked, fearing that Andrew would notice something amiss, so she hastily covered her mouth and nose and ran to the bathroom to clean up.
The sound of rushing water soon emanated from the bathroom, causing Andrew, who had always been a light sleeper, to furrow his brow and awaken.
Impatiently, he shouted, "What's that noise at night? Get out and wash somewhere else."
The sound of water ceased immediately. After a while, Harper emerged quietly, her eyes betraying a humility and caution that Andrew couldn't perceive: "Andrew, I heard from the hospital that you can have corneal transplantation next month. It won't be long before you can return to a normal life."
Andrew cocked his head in the darkness and grunted coldly in disgust.
"Aren't you happy?" Harper felt a pang of sadness in her heart and mustered up the courage to ask.
Andrew disdained to answer this question.
Harper's hand, hanging by her side, slowly clenched. She took a deep breath and said with difficulty, "I heard that Noah has returned to the US..."
"Don't you mention her! Shame on you..." It was as if a fuse had been lit when Andrew heard the name, and suddenly he was furious. He grabbed something from the bedside table and hurled it in the direction of the sound.
Harper stumbled back a few steps, caught off guard, and fell to the ground. Ignoring the pain from the impact, she reached out her hand, but it was too late.
The crystal ornament, featuring two swans with intertwined necks, crashed to the ground with a thud. One swan's slender, curved neck snapped, and the heart-shaped ornament shattered.
At that moment, Harper's heart shattered too. It was as if her heart had been thrown to the ground, missing a piece.
"Does it hurt? You're just a bitch desperate for attention from men, and you deserve this." Andrew laughed sarcastically, his unfocused eyes filled with disgust. He gritted his teeth and said, "If it weren't for you marrying me, how could Noah leave? How could I become blind?"
His low voice was as cruel as a knife, stabbing Harper's heart, and tears welled up in her eyes.
"I'm sorry, it's all my fault." She smiled bitterly, stubbornly wiped away her tears, and said each word with difficulty, "But I don't regret taking you away from Noah. Because she..."
Andrew's eyes burned with a hint of rage, as if he couldn't wait to incinerate Harper. He suddenly shouted, "Enough! Who do you think you are in front of her?!"
Harper felt as if she were being burned, her voice barely audible as she replied, "Yes, I'm nobody, that's why I got what I deserved...."
Andrew didn't hear clearly and didn't care. Suddenly, he waved his hand, motioning for her to come closer, as if calling a dog.
She was in a state of despair, yet her body involuntarily moved forward, like a moth drawn to a flame.
Andrew raised his hand and reached towards Harper's face. This gesture elicited an instant glimmer of hope from her vacant eyes!
However, the next moment, she was plummeting into an abyss!
Andrew groped, suddenly grabbing Harper's neck and gradually tightening his calloused fingers.
"After the operation, I'll have to see your disgusting face. Do you think I'm happy? If you want me to be happy, disappear and leave my world completely..."
The huge room fell silent in an instant.

A Lesson in Magic
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
The mafia princess return
Badass in Disguise
"Jade, I need to check your—" the nurse began.
"OUT!" I snarled with enough force that both women backed toward the door.
Once feared by Shadow Organization that drugged me to replicate my abilities into a more controllable version, I had escaped my restraints and detonated their entire facility, ready to die alongside my captors.
Instead, I woke up in a school infirmary with women arguing around me, their voices piercing my skull. My outburst froze them in shock—clearly they hadn't expected such a reaction. One woman threatened as she left, "We'll discuss this attitude when you get home."
The bitter truth? I've been reborn into the body of an overweight, weak, and supposedly dim-witted high school girl. Her life is filled with bullies and tormentors who've made her existence miserable.
But they have no idea who they're dealing with now.
I didn't survive as the world's deadliest assassin by allowing anyone to push me around. And I certainly won't start now.
Accidentally Crossing the Tycoon
Four years ago, the Bailey family faced a devastating financial crisis.
Just when bankruptcy seemed inevitable, a mysterious benefactor emerged, offering salvation with one condition: a contract marriage.
Rumors swirled about this enigmatic man—whispers claimed he was hideously ugly and too ashamed to show his face, possibly harboring dark, twisted obsessions.
Without hesitation, the Baileys sacrificed me to protect their precious biological daughter, forcing me to take her place as a pawn in this cold, calculated arrangement.
Luckily, in those four years, the mysterious husband never asked to meet in person.
Now, in the final year of our arrangement, the husband I've never met is demanding we meet face to face.
But disaster struck the night before my return—drunk and disoriented, I stumbled into the wrong hotel room and ended up sleeping with the legendary financial mogul, Caspar Thornton.
What the hell am I supposed to do now?
The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."
Danielle Harris is the daughter of an overprotective police chief and has led a sheltered life. As a kindergarten teacher, she's as far removed from the world of Harleys and bikers as you could get, but when she's rescued by the sexy and dangerous Austin Carver, her life is changed forever.
Although Austin 'Booker' Carver is enamored by the innocent Dani, he tries to keep the police chief's daughter at arm's length. But when a threat is made from an unexpected source, he finds himself falling hard and fast for the only woman who can tame his wild heart.
Will Booker be able to find the source of the threat before it's too late?
Will Dani finally give her heart to a man who's everything she's been warned about?
The Betrayed Warrior Luna's Second Chance
But fate has other plans. When Eliza severs her bond with the man who broke her, a magnetic Lycan prince steps forward—her fated mate. Bound by destiny yet scarred by betrayal, can Eliza embrace a future of strength, love, and vengeance?
Chosen By The Cursed Alpha King
"But I will survive."
I whispered it to the moon, to the chains, to myself—until I believed it.
They say Alpha King Maximus is a monster — too big, too brutal, too cursed. His bed is a death sentence, and no woman has ever left it alive. So why did he choose me?
The fat, unwanted omega. The one my own pack offered up like trash. One night with the merciless King was supposed to end me. Instead, it ruined me. Now I crave the man who takes without mercy. His touch burns. His voice commands. His body destroys. And I keep going back for more. But Maximus doesn't do love. He doesn't do mates. He takes. He owns. And he never stays.
"Before my beast consumes me completely—I need a son to take the throne."
Too bad for him…I'm not the weak, pathetic girl they threw away. I'm something far more dangerous —the one woman who can break his curse… or break his kingdom.
