Introduction
Born into this world of blood and power is the beautiful Isabella Lorenzo… born and raised from childhood to obey and serve, in a world where women were nothing but currency for power and alliance. When her aging father, Don Antonio Lorenzo begins to lose his grip on the remains of his once powerful empire, Isabella is forced to become a pawn in a last ditch alliance: a contract marriage to Luca Moretti, the deadly and emotionless heir of the rival Moretti syndicate.
To the outside world, their union is a merging of wealth and influence, but beneath it lies a fragile bundle of chaos waiting to erupt. Luca is every bit a mafia prince… ruthless and power hungry, while his wife Isabella is a beauty who buries her pain under loyalty to her father.
However, there is an undeniable attraction between Luca and Isabella, but years of bad blood between both families make trust an impossible dream… they may share a bed, but not a soul.
Unknown to Isabella, the Morettis have no intention of keeping their part of the bargain… Their marriage is only a cover for annihilation.
Chapter 1
The call came just after midnight.
Isabella Lorenzo… now Moretti by marriage, was busy pouring herself a well earned glass of wine after another long day tolerating her new family. As she eased herself gently into the couch, her phone lit up and started vibrating.
“Should have put you on DND” she muttered in annoyance as she reached for the phone.
It was an unknown number, and she didn't usually fancy answering unknown numbers. Her instincts however kept pushing, and she eventually took the call.
“Isabella Moretti?” a deep voice asked.
She paused. Nobody had called her by her maiden name in the last three months since she got married.
“Yes. Who is this?”
There was a small pause before the caller finally spoke again. “Your father has been arrested, and the council has summoned a trial tonight. Your immediate attendance is required, good day.”
The line went dead before she could even ask a question. How could this be possible, what could they possibly have against her father. She had to talk to Luca, surely there should be something he can do.
She found him in his library, focused on a bunch of books and documents with a serious look on his face. He seemed really busy, and she felt bad that she had to disturb him, but she had no choice.
“Luca,” she gasped, “my father’s been taken, they said the council’s trying him tonight.”
He paused, looked up very slowly like her words didn't quite register to him, but he replied all the same.
“I know.”
Isabella was stunned.
“You knew?” she asked, her voice gradually rising. “And you didn’t even bother to tell me?”
Luca stood up slowly, gently closed the document folder he'd been holding after placing an envelope in it. He went to stand in front of the mirror, adjusting the gold cuffs on his suit. “It wasn’t my place.”
“Wasn’t your…” She choked at the words, then managed to try again. “Luca, that’s my father.”
“Your father is a Don, Isabella, and he has been arrested by the Internal Mafia Council… It isn't a personal affair, it's simply protocol.”
She stared at him in shock. “Arent you supposed to protect him from something like this?” She asked sobbing. “Isnt it part of the wedding agreement?”
Luca had no time to respond before his father, Don Nico Moretti walked in. He looked excited, followed by his two heavily armed guards. He ignored the sobbing Isabella, and spoke directly to his son
“Luca, get ready immediately, the council meets tonight and we have been summoned.”
Luca nodded. “Understood Papa.”
Isabella stepped forward. “I’m coming too.”
Don Nico finally turned to her, as if seeing her for the very first time. “This is a Council matter, it's not a show for women.”
“He’s my father,” she snapped. “And I received a summon also.”
A smirk appeared on Don Nico’s face. “Very well signora, just make sure you remember where your loyalty lies.”
She looked at Luca, but he had turned away, and she only nodded weakly to Nico. There was no need to say anything else… but inside, her heart was pounding like a warning drum.
…
The Council chamber was filled by members of all the notable Mafia families in New York. The twelve elders who governed the underworld sat behind their judgment table, dressed in black with a stone cold look on their terrible faces. She hated them.
A few minutes after silence had been ordered, Don Antonio Lorenzo was dragged into the hall under the watch of heavy security. Isabella's eyes watered at the sight of him… he looked broken and battered, bleeding slightly, but with defiance still burning in his eyes.
She took a step forward without thinking, and she was stopped immediately by Luca’s outstretched hand. When she looked at him, he wasn't even looking at her, he was more focused on the spectacle in front of him.
The head council elder’s voice suddenly rang through. “Don Antonio Lorenzo,” he began, “You have been accused of high treason against this council, and against the Mafia Confederation. What say you?”
Her father straightened himself proudly, ignoring his chains and raising his voice. “I deny it all, every single word of it.”
“Evidence has been submitted Don Lorenzo,” another elder cut in, pushing forward a bunch of documents in a file. “Transactions, surveillance, letters, communications with known federal contacts, and many more. They have all been traced back to your seal and signature.”
Antonio’s face turned red in anger. “Forgeries and lies. Someone wants me gone, and has gone to great lengths to plant those lies.”
A councilman came forward holding a sealed envelope, an envelope that caught Isabella’s eyes. She had seen it somewhere before… Yes! The envelope Luca pushed into the document earlier that day… she'd seen him.
“This,” began the councilman. “Was submitted anonymously earlier today, and sources have confirmed the information it carries to be true. It supports the Moretti investigations.”
Isabella froze at the mention of the Morettis. Her heart thudded violently, and she almost passed out. No… it couldn't be.
“Moretti you bloody traitor,” her father hissed in disgust. “You forged lies on my records and sent them to the council?”
Isabella looked at Luca again, trembling as the councilman began to tear the envelope open. He still didn't look at her, rather he was coldly focused on the trial.
Inside the envelope were photographs, signatures, receipts of wire transfers… things that only someone with deep access to her family’s inner sanctum could have acquired.
Isabella's heart crumbled with every one of those evidence they displayed, every lie they told against her father. She looked at all the files displayed by the council and trembled violently… They were the same exact files and documents Luca had been so focused on, she could remember them clearly now. She had thought they were additional work he brought home from his office, not knowing that it was a noose hanging around her father's neck.
Then the final blow came as a verdict was immediately announced.
“In accordance with the Old Code,” the Council elder said, “Don Antonio Lorenzo is hereby sentenced…”
“No,” Isabella whispered.
“...to death by hanging.”
The gavel struck like a gunshot.
She reached for Luca, dazed and unable to believe the nightmare happening before her. “Tell me this isn’t real Luca, tell me you didn't do this to my family.”
“I’m sorry, Isabella.”
She watched as they dragged her father away, screaming, kicking, and cursing furiously. She couldn’t even move… couldn't breathe.
…
Two trucks left the Moretti compound that night, filled with armed men and headed for the Lorenzo estate, far from the council's knowledge.
The assassins stormed the estate in the darkness, and began executing all the Lorenzo lieutenants one after the other. Isabella's brothers, cousins, and even her family's household staff were all wiped out, and the estate set ablaze.
One of her cousins, Gerald Bastoni, managed a panicked call from where he lay hidden. “Bella, they're killing everybody… I… It's a massacre. Moretti soldiers… They're…”
He was cut off by a succession of gunfire and screams. The line went dead, and Isabella dropped the phone in shock. In her hand was a crumpled envelope she had pulled from Luca’s desk after they returned from the trial… inside was a copy of a letter, a single sheet.
The official death warrant of her father… Signed by Luca Moretti.
Her husband.

On Christmas Eve, I aborted the CEO's child
On Christmas Eve night, my husband brought his mistress home and demanded that I, his pregnant wife, leave with nothing.
On this day, I lost my husband and also lost the child in my womb...
I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.
Confrontation would be too cheap. Tears are worthless. I quietly started cataloging the hidden networks my father left behind, activating the Swiss accounts.
In seven days, Zoey Smith will cease to exist. And what will my husband's reaction be?
He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
When I Disappeared, He Regretted It
The moment the screen lit up, my entire world came crashing down.
The woman on the bed was Calista - that girl who grew up with us since we were kids. And that hand caressing her skin was wearing the wedding ring I had personally put on Matteo's finger.
"I've missed you so much..."
"You drive me crazy, baby..."
Those sweet words I knew so well completely destroyed me.
Everyone said we were the perfect couple, but who knew this marriage was built on nothing but lies?
Since he's so good at acting, I guess it's time I gave him a show of my own. I'm going to make sure everyone sees what this "perfect husband" really is...
He Thought I'd Never Leave
When he said he was being bullied, I believed him. When he kissed me on that rooftop, I thought he felt the same. When he asked me to transfer schools with him, I said yes without hesitation.
Then I heard him bragging to his friends: "She'd save her first time for me. Hell, she'd still be thinking of me on her wedding night."
The bullying was staged. The kiss meant nothing. He just wanted me gone—so his new girl could feel more comfortable.
He thought I'd beg. He thought I'd cry. He thought I'd never actually leave.
I left the country.
And ran straight into his stepbrother.
I Died While They Threw Her a Party
Their real daughter came home. She'd only been back two years. That's all it took to erase twenty-four.
When kidnappers grabbed us, I used my body as a shield. They beat me until something inside me ruptured. I was dying from internal bleeding, but no one could tell.
My parents wouldn't even look at me. "This is your fault! None of this would've happened if it weren't for you!"
"Get downstairs and apologize to your sister. If you can't, pack your things and get out."
They threw her a party at a downtown hotel while I died alone in my room.
I thought they'd be relieved. Maybe even glad. I thought they'd just move on like I never existed.
But when they finally learned the truth, they fell apart.
Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
The Kidney That Killed Me
A few months ago, my sister was hospitalized with kidney failure. The doctor said she needed a transplant. My family's first thought was me—the backup daughter they'd kept around all these years.
When my husband Allen took my hand with tears in his eyes and said, "Only you can save her," I agreed without hesitation.
When the doctor explained the surgical risks and potential complications, I smiled and nodded my understanding.
My parents said I'd finally learned what sisterly love meant.
Even Allen, who'd always been cold to me, held my hand gently and said, "The surgery's safe. You're so healthy, nothing will go wrong. When you recover, I'll take you to Hawaii."
But they don't know that no matter how the surgery goes, I won't be around to celebrate.
Because I just got my own test results—I have terminal brain cancer. I'm going to die anyway.
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

Alongside her best friend Lilly who also lives a life of hell, they plan to run away while attending the biggest ball of the year while it's being hosted by another pack, only things don't quite go to plan leaving both girls feeling lost and unsure about their futures.

Once they are brought to him he finds himself once again facing his mate and discovers that she's hiding secrets that will make him want to kill more than one person.
Can he overcome his feelings towards having a mate and one that is so much younger than him? Will his mate want him after already feeling the sting of his unofficial rejection? Can they both work on letting go of the past and moving forward together or will fate have different plans and keep them apart?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
