Chapter 1
Sophie's POV
"So, what makes you think that we'd actually accept you as a part-time teacher here in our University?" asked one of the interviewers to me.
With my hands shaking, I took a deep breath and faced her confidently, at least that's the definition of confidence for me. Then I opened my mouth, "I am actually...err... I'm a straight A student from kindergarten up until now. And I am also running for the highest rank in our class now. I really like children and I love teaching them..."
You can do it, Sophie. No need to be nervous, you can do it, girl.
The woman and the man beside her looked at each other and nodded, "So, Laurens is your surname? Do you have any relationship with Mr. Albert Laurens?"
"Yes, he is my father."
Both of their eyes widened upon hearing what I just said. They quickly stood up and bowed their heads at me, "G-Good Morning, Miss Laurens."
"N-No, you don't have to be so polite to me. I'm just an applicant here, and so I just want to know if I get in?" I asked them with my fingers crossed and my heart beating incredibly loud that it could actually jump off my chest right now.
"Of course, Miss Laurens! You are in! You can now teach in our school whenever you want to start!"
"R-Really?! Oh, thank you so much, you don't know how much this means to me, thank you so much!"
"Y-You're Welcome, Miss Laurens, it's also an honor for us to have you here in our institution."
I was jumping enthusiastically as soon as I stepped out of that room. Teaching children has been my dream ever since I was a child, it was my mom's dream for me too, before she died. And now it already came true! I'm sure she's so happy for me. Although I think, the only reason why I got in was because of my surname, Laurens. My father, Albert Laurens, is known to be one of the richest man here in New York City. But that doesn't mean I am rich too. Everything that he has, they don't really belong to me. I'm just his daughter with one of their maids before to whom he had a one night stand with even though he already has his wife.
Afraid that dad's parents would get mad and shoo him away from their family, mom decided to just leave their mansion and escape to hide me from them. She lived in a place where she thought everyone wouldn't be able to fin her but she was wrong, because my grandparents are so rich that they can hire anyone just to locate where she is. They took me away from my mother, I escaped their house when I was ten years old and went back to my mother but they took me back again. Mom also told me to just stay at my father's house too. Then one day, she had a heart attack and died, I went to her burial, alone.
Until then, I lived at my father's house. Their enormous mansion that could actually have a hundred family to live in. If you're thinking that I live a wealthy and happy life since I'm a Laurens, then you are all wrong, they don't treat me as one of them anyway. I do all the things that maids do, I serve them, wash their clothes, bring their clothes, carry their bags, water the plants, wipe the windows, floors, anything. That's the consequence of living inside their house. "Hey Sophie, where the hell did you go again?" Samantha asked me as soon as I stepped inside the mansion.
"I applied for a job." I simply replied.
Samantha is the oldest daughter of my father and his wife, his first and legal wife. They have two daughters and one son in total who are of course, way older than me. "A job? Why? Do you still need money even if dad's already giving you a monthly allowance?"
"It's not about the money, I really want to teach children ever since."
She just rolled her eyes, "Oh what ever, do what you want, just don't forget to do my assignments. Tomorrow will be the deadlines of all of that."
"Okay."
"Hey Sophie!" there goes Sera, the second to the oldest daughter of my father. "Buy all of these, okay? I need that in my school tomorrow, and also, don't forget to go to the Harold's house and tell him that I'm already breaking up with him."
My eyes widened as I looked at her with confusion, "Why don't you just break up with him in person?"
"Shut up! Just tell it to him! I don't want to waste my time with his drama again!"
Sera has the habit of dating different boys in her school, then break with them after a week, but what's worst is that I am the one who talks to his boyfriend and tell them that she wants a break up. I always have to make up stories and find possible reasons why she wants a break up. I just suppressed a sigh then I was about to go to my room and change my clothes when I suddenly saw Sebastian walking towards me with a smile on his face. "Seb!"
"Sophie! You need to hear this new song that I composed!" he said, enthusiastically. Seb is two years older than me and really loved music, out of all the siblings I have, he's the one I'm closest to. "Alright, I will just change my clothes and then we'll listen to it later, okay?"
"Okay! I'll wait for you at my studio."
"Okay!" then I finally opened the door of my room and went inside it with a smile on my face.

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...
Angelina, the most powerful Alpha who conquered forty-nine packs, dies in a yacht explosion—only to wake up as Aria Sterling, a fifteen-year-old Omega's daughter who just died from bullying.
The original Aria's life was a nightmare. Humiliated when golden boy Kai Matthews posted her love letter online, then shoved to death by his girlfriend Bella Morrison. But that's not all her family faces:
"You got until Monday," the tattooed gangster sneered at Aria's mother. "Ten grand cash. Or I'm taking collateral—your kids' organs fetch top dollar. That pretty daughter of yours? She could make us money another way too."
Now Angelina's lethal combat skills awaken in this fragile body. No more hiding. No more fear.
Armed with an Alpha's ruthlessness and a mysterious blood-red pendant, she'll dismantle everyone who hurt this family—one calculated move at a time.

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.

A Lesson in Magic
Claimed by the Alpha's Love
Four years ago, Fiona's meticulously planned conspiracy turned me from an ordinary omega into a prisoner carrying the weight of a murder charge.
Four years later, I return to a world that has changed beyond recognition.
My best friend Fiona, who is also my stepsister, has become the perfect daughter in my mother's eyes. And my ex-boyfriend, Ethan, is about to hold a high-profile mating ceremony with her.
The love, family bonds, and reputation that I once cherished have all been taken by Fiona.
Just when I had reached my breaking point, questioning the very purpose of my existence, the legendary Alpha Lucas of Moonhaven suddenly appeared in my life.
He is powerful and enigmatic, a figure that all werewolves hold in awe.
Yet, he shows an extraordinary persistence and tenderness towards me.
Is Lucas's appearance a gift from fate, or the start of another conspiracy?
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
