Introduction
Chapter 1
Damon Knight stood at the edge of the Moonrise Pack’s camp, staring out into the dense forest that surrounded Lunar Falls. The crisp night air carried the scent of pine and earth, and the moon hung high above, casting a silvery glow over the land. Everything was still. Silent. But beneath the calm exterior, there was a tension that Damon could feel in his bones—a tension that never seemed to fade.
At 35, Damon was the newly-crowned Alpha of the Moonrise Pack. The weight of the title sat heavily on his broad shoulders, and despite the years that had passed since his father’s death, he could still feel the lingering presence of his predecessor in every decision he made, every step he took. His father had been a great Alpha—strong, respected, loved by his pack. Damon had never wanted to lead; he had never dreamed of it. But with his father’s death in the violent pack war, the role had fallen to him, and he had done his best to accept it.
But accepting the role and truly filling his father’s shoes were two very different things.
Damon ran a hand through his silver hair, his deep blue eyes scanning the horizon as memories of that war flickered through his mind like shards of broken glass. The battle had been vicious, leaving a fractured pack in its wake. Many had died, including his father. Some had joined Silas Moore’s Bloodmoon Pack, while others had been killed in the crossfire. The war had torn the Moonrise Pack apart, leaving it in shambles. And now, as Alpha, Damon had the monumental task of rebuilding what had been lost, restoring his pack to its former glory.
He sighed, glancing down at his clenched fists. He had spent the last few years trying to forge relationships with those who still remained loyal to the pack—trying to rebuild trust with members who were uncertain about his leadership. But it was a slow process. Older members, like Eliza Vane, the pack elder, openly challenged his authority, believing that their traditions and old ways were superior to the modern leadership Damon represented. It was a constant battle to maintain peace within the pack, and Damon wasn’t sure how much longer he could hold it together.
"Alpha," came a voice from behind him.
Damon turned to see Tyler Blackwood, his best friend and Beta of the pack, approaching. Tyler’s presence was a welcome one. He was one of the few people Damon truly trusted, a man who had stood by him through the darkest days of the war. But even with Tyler’s unwavering loyalty, there were times when Damon felt the pressure of their complicated friendship. Tyler had always been ambitious, and although he had pledged allegiance to Damon, there were moments when Damon wondered if Tyler wanted more—if, deep down, Tyler had his own aspirations for leadership.
“What's going on?” Damon asked, his voice low and steady.
"Silas's pack has been spotted near the border," Tyler replied. "They're making moves, testing our territory. It’s only a matter of time before they come for us."
Damon’s jaw tightened. Silas Moore was the leader of the Bloodmoon Pack, a ruthless Alpha who had orchestrated the pack war that had left Damon’s family in ruins. Silas wasn’t just after power; he was after control—control of the Moonrise Pack, control of everything Damon had built since his father’s death. Damon had heard rumors that Silas was rallying other packs to his cause, hoping to take over the entire region. The thought of another war, another fight for survival, made Damon’s stomach turn.
"Keep watch," Damon instructed, his voice firm. "We need to know what they’re planning. And tell the others to stay alert. We can’t afford to be caught off guard."
Tyler nodded, turning to leave, but Damon called after him.
"Tyler, wait."
Tyler paused, glancing back over his shoulder. "Yeah?"
Damon hesitated for a moment, the weight of his next words heavy on his chest. “I know the pack is divided. And I know you want more. But right now, the pack needs unity. We can’t afford any fractures, not now, not with Silas on the move.”
Tyler’s expression hardened. "I’ve always been loyal to you, Damon. You know that."
“I know,” Damon said quietly. "But loyalty isn’t just about following orders. It’s about trust. I need you to trust me, just as I trust you."
Tyler’s gaze softened for a moment before he gave a curt nod. "I won’t let you down."
As Tyler disappeared into the shadows, Damon was left alone with his thoughts once again. The weight of leadership pressed down on him, a constant reminder of everything he stood to lose. He thought of his pack—his people—and the future he hoped to build. He couldn’t fail them. Not now.
The next morning, Damon found himself in the heart of Lunar Falls, walking through the quaint little town that had become the pack’s new home. The moonlit woods that surrounded it were serene, a stark contrast to the chaos that had once engulfed his life. Lunar Falls had been the perfect place to relocate the pack—hidden away from prying eyes, nestled in the foothills of towering mountains. But as peaceful as the town seemed, Damon knew that peace was fragile. Silas’s influence was spreading, and it wouldn’t be long before the Bloodmoon Pack sought to bring that violence to Lunar Falls.
As Damon walked through the market square, his gaze landed on a small shop at the corner of the street—Westbrook’s Flowers. The vibrant display of blooms caught his attention, and for a brief moment, he was distracted by the colors. He hadn’t realized how much he had missed the simple beauty of nature amidst the constant tension of pack politics and looming war.
The door to the shop opened, and a woman stepped out.
Damon’s heart skipped a beat.
She was small, but there was a strength in her posture that immediately caught his attention. Fiery red hair cascaded over her shoulders in waves, and hazel eyes flickered with a cautious intensity as she glanced around. There was something familiar about her, something that made Damon’s pulse quicken. He had never seen her before, but in that moment, he knew—he knew that she was important.
And then, it happened.
The moment their eyes met, a shock of recognition passed between them, something so strong and undeniable that it nearly knocked the breath out of Damon. His chest tightened, and for the first time in a long time, he felt something stir deep within him—something primal, something that no amount of leadership or duty could ignore.
The mate bond.
His fated mate.
Damon’s heart raced as he took a hesitant step forward, but before he could say anything, the woman turned and disappeared back into the shop.
A mixture of emotions flooded through Damon—confusion, excitement, and fear. He had never believed in the idea of mates. Sure, he had heard the stories, the old legends of wolves destined to find each other, but it had always seemed like just that—a story. Something that happened to others, not him.
But as he stood there, staring at the closed door of Westbrook’s Flowers, Damon knew that his life was about to change forever.
Aria Westbrook had always been able to sense when something was wrong. It was a gift—or a curse, depending on how she looked at it. And right now, something was definitely off.
She had felt it the moment he walked into the square—the tall, broad-shouldered man with silver hair and deep blue eyes that seemed to pierce through her. There was something about him that made her stomach twist, something familiar, something… unsettling.
Aria had always known she was different. A witch, born into a family of powerful witches, she had never quite fit in with the traditions and expectations that her family demanded. At 18, she had been cast out, abandoned by the very people who should have protected her. The rejection had shaped her, hardened her. She had learned to rely only on herself, never allowing anyone close enough to hurt her again.
But now, standing in the presence of this stranger, Aria could feel something shift inside her. It was as though the universe itself had thrown her a curveball, and she had no idea how to catch it.
The bond.
Her heart raced as she turned away from the window and retreated to the back of the shop. She had no time for this. No time for distractions. Her life was complicated enough without adding some inexplicable connection to a wolf she had never met.
But deep down, she knew that this was just the beginning.
And whatever this bond was, it was going to change everything.

He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
He Thought I'd Never Leave
When he said he was being bullied, I believed him. When he kissed me on that rooftop, I thought he felt the same. When he asked me to transfer schools with him, I said yes without hesitation.
Then I heard him bragging to his friends: "She'd save her first time for me. Hell, she'd still be thinking of me on her wedding night."
The bullying was staged. The kiss meant nothing. He just wanted me gone—so his new girl could feel more comfortable.
He thought I'd beg. He thought I'd cry. He thought I'd never actually leave.
I left the country.
And ran straight into his stepbrother.
Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.

We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
