Chapter 1
Chapter 1.
Bunny Rose.
It’s my last semester at Crystal High College, and I could not be any more grateful.
Finally! I would be free from my aunt’s bondage, free from her endless torment after graduation.
A soft exhale slipped past my lips, and I held the strap of my one-hand bag, staring at the students who had been making their way down the hall.
Today is the first day of resumption, and I could not be any happier. I have spent these few weeks in pure agony, and I just can’t wait to throw myself into my man’s arms.
A smile formed at the corner of my lips as the image of Daniel filled my mind gracefully.
Daniel and I have been in love since freshers, after he saved me from the cliff where I almost lost my life. I have always had a thing for him, but that moment changed everything forever.
I made my way to the library, since it was one place we often meet before departing to our various lecture halls.
With every step I took closer to the library, my heart swelled with excitement.
When I got in, there were barely many people in the library, but I met a few faces who would have normally waved at me, but they just gave me a weird glare, ignored my wave, and scrambled for their stuff.
My brows pulled together, and I stared at them as they walked off like my presence was sending them away.
My hand was still in the air, and I was still as confused as hell, but I shrugged my shoulders gently, then continued to navigate the library while wearing a big, bright smile on my face.
When I got closer to the spot where Daniel and I often stayed, I heard the faint sound of his voice that triggered my excitement, but my legs suddenly halted the moment I heard him speak again.
“Do not talk about that Bunny girl, sunshine. It’s you I have always wanted, okay?”
My brows pulled together at the sound of his voice, and I blinked back gently, trying to convince myself that the voice was in no way similar, but he spoke again, this time louder and clearer, because I had taken another step closer, and I could now see him perching gently on a table while holding a lady’s waist and pulling her closer to himself.
“I know… I know you think I love her, but I don’t. I only pity her.”
Pity?
My heart skipped, and the word cut into my chest like a dagger would, while the lady’s lips twitched into a smile.
Seconds back, I had tried to act like I couldn’t recognize her, because there was no way in the world that Daniel would betray me for Beige Brown, but who doesn’t know the daughter of Brown Clark? The Queen Bee of my school and the one who has always found joy in bullying me. Since fresher, she has done absolutely nothing but frustrate my life, and Daniel had always stood up for me… well, until now.
Tears formed on my lids, and I watched gently as she placed her hand on his shoulder, planting a gentle kiss on his lips.
My chest tightened at the sight, but what broke me more was when Daniel pulled Beige deeper into the kiss, preventing her from pulling away.
I blinked back the tears in my eyes, trying to process everything that was happening, but nothing was making sense. I couldn’t bring myself to believe that Daniel was cheating on me. That the man I have loved and believed had loved me right back was out here kissing my worst enemy while backstabbing me.
My legs moved before I could process it, and before I knew it, I was standing right beside them.
“Daniel…” I called in a shaky voice, tears blurring my vision.
Beige and Daniel pulled out of their kiss, but when they tilted their heads in my direction, they didn’t seem to care.
“What are you doing here?” Daniel asked, staring at me scornfully while tightening his grip around her waist.
A scoff slipped past my lips, and the little detail of their intimacy broke me more. “You… you are cheating…” I muttered, my breath coming out shaky from shock.
Daniel stared at me for a brief second, and I thought he had some sympathy left, but his next words shattered my heart. “I am glad you know now.”
Glad I know now? My lashes fluttered, and I blinked back roughly. “So… so you have been cheating on me?”
His lips curled into a wicked grin, and he chuckled roughly. “What now? You think you are some angel who deserves loyalty?”
The sting in my chest burned deeper, and it felt like another dagger had been pierced into my heart.
“So this is it? All our years of late-night talks and never-ending dreams. Did you never love me?”
“Love?” Daniel asked with a scoff, staring at me like I was some joke. “So you truly believe that you were worthy of my love? Oh, come on, girl! There is no love between us, there has never been.”
Beige’s lips twitched superiorly, and she kept her gaze on me, but I didn’t look in her direction. I just kept my gaze on Daniel, unable to look away, just so this nightmare remains a nightmare, but clearly I wasn’t dreaming, because when he spoke again, his words shattered my heart into millions of pieces.
“All this year, I have been looking for ways to inform you that I didn’t save you from that hill, but you had been too obsessed, constantly throwing yourself at me like some cheap whore.”
The words burned into my chest, and before I could realize it, my hand moved, and I threw a slap across his face.
Daniel’s head tilted sideways, and the sound of the slap echoed through the library.
“You are a bastard!” I cursed, tightening my fist while all my pent-up emotions came pouring in.
“Who gave you the right?” Beige surged forward with anger, but Daniel grabbed her wrist, shaking his head gently.
“Is this all you have got?” he asked with a dark chuckle, cleaning the cut on his lips. “I thought you were going to stab me like your aunty does to you, or grab a knife and trail it down my skin. Ain’t you hoping for that?”
My palm curled, and the tears that had been burning my lids slipped down my cheeks.
Three years. Three years of my life with a man who didn’t just cheat but found it normal to humiliate me with the pains I could only share with him.
A tired exhale slipped past my lips, and I stared at the two mischievous beings before turning to leave.
I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, but it turned out that I had not run too far, because five steps into it, all I could feel was a collision, like my body had just bumped into something.
My body jolted backward, and I could have believed that I fell, but a huge arm moved behind my waist, grabbing me swiftly and pulling me back up.
“Careful.” The voice came in, thick and hard to ignore.
My body stilled gently, and I tried to recover from the shock of almost falling before my cheating ex and the Queen Bee, but I soon got the shocker of my life when I caught sight of the person before me.
Xavier Thorne stood at an imposing 6’5 feet, a figure of reckless aura and eyes that pierced deeply into mine.
My breath hitched for a moment, and I stood there, unable to move, think, or believe that he was standing before me.
All I could do was stare at the man who was dressed in a black shirt with rolled-up sleeves.
The air in the library stilled, and for a brief second, it felt like we were the only ones in the room. Slowly, my eyes traced the structure of his face… straight nose, hard-angled brows, heart-shaped lips, and a jaw that could pierce through steel.
He looked hot and brooding, but no cold guy has ever looked this striking, with a medium mullet hairstyle that was tousled to frame his face.
My heart thumped softly at the closeness of our bodies, and almost immediately, a reckless image invaded my mind…
My eyes trailed back to the place that made me arch.
His lips, the perfect shape of a heart. One that I would very much love to taste.
Daniel has always hated Xavier. The sight of this man has always triggered something in him, and that… that was because Xavier had the fucking aura to pull ladies closer in ways he could never.
My mind spun with thoughts, and I knew I should give myself the time to think, but I couldn’t, because the intrusive part of my brain kicked in, and without consideration, I moved my hand to his collar, stood on my toes, then dragged him down before slamming my lips against his.
Xavier’s body stilled, and his muscles tightened, but I didn’t stop. I didn’t know if his reaction was from shock or anger, I just kissed him gently while picturing how burnt-out Daniel’s face would be for seeing me kiss the guy he has never liked.

I hate girls like her.
Entitled.

Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.

But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?

"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

There is something ancient inside her. Something powerful. And it’s waking.
And when it does—
they’ll all remember the girl they tried to erase.
Especially him.
She’ll be the dream he keeps chasing… the one thing that ever made him feel alive.
Because secrets never stay buried.
And neither do dreams.
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.
