Ebere Nwawulu · Ongoing · 41.6k Words
Introduction
“Finally mine, after all this time,” the man growled, then sank razor-sharp teeth into his neck and pleasure exploded through him like lightning.
Until the mask slipped and Dallas Cross, his childhood bully and bane of his existence, stared back with a vicious, satisfied smirk.
On the day Carter was supposed to propose to the love of his life, Carter walked in to find her in bed with his mortal enemy, Dallas Cross, wealthy heir of the Cross Group global empire.
One week later, a drunken club hookup leaves him marked, mated, and impossibly, pregnant with Dallas’s heir. The ruthless werewolf storms back into his life, demanding Carter pack his bags and move into the luxurious pack mansion to accept their unbreakable bond and carry his son… or watch his bankrupt family lose everything.
Trapped between red-hot hate, an unexpected pregnancy, and the tiny life already growing inside him, Carter faces an impossible choice.
His strict parents are pressuring him to forgive the cheating fiancée and save them from ruin. Meanwhile, Dallas’s possessive alpha instincts won’t let him go, blocking every escape, and whispering dark promises of protection, pleasure, and forever.
With every heated glare turning into uncontrollable lust and every denial crumbling under the mate bond, Carter must decide: run from the enemy who destroyed him… or surrender completely to the powerful alpha who now owns his body, his heart, and his fate.
Chapter 1
Carter’s heart hammered against his ribs as he pushed through the doors of the Grand Luminaire Hotel, his hands shaking with nervous excitement.
"Sophie?" He called out, grinning like an idiot as he stepped inside their hotel room. "Sweetheart, I know I said the proposal was for nine pm, but I couldn't wait…"
The smile slowly faded away from his face as he looked around the room.
The rose petals he'd spent an hour arranging were scattered. The champagne he'd pre-ordered sat half-finished on the table, and there, on the bed he'd covered in her favourite flowers, was Sophie.
Her dress bunched around her waist, her head thrown back in ecstasy as she moaned and shook with pleasure. And beneath her, hands gripping her hips possessively, was…
Dallas Cross.
"No." He gasped.
The expensive diamond ring that’d cost him nearly his entire savings dropped from his hands, as his dreams of being a happy father and husband fizzled away.
Sophie took one startled look at him and scrambled off the bed, desperately pulling her dress down.
But Dallas took his sweet time.
He stood up slowly, fixed his belt, and when he finally turned around, that evil, vicious smile was already in place. The same one that had tormented Carter long ago, sending him running down the school halls in the opposite direction.
Hot, ugly memories started rushing back from the life he tried to leave behind.
Seven years. It’d been seven years since Carter had last seen Dallas Cross, and time had transformed him into…
Dallas had always been tall, but now he was massive, easily six-foot-six of pure, mean muscle.
His impossibly broad shoulders strained against his expensive shirt, his presence filling the room and towering over everything, making everyone else look like tiny, meaningless creatures in front of a god.
Except none of that mattered then.
Whatever momentary madness of attraction Carter was having was buried deep under red-hot rage exploding through his chest.
“You’ve put on a bit of weight since I last saw you.” Dallas half-growled, his low, gravelly voice pulling Carter out of his daze. “What have they been feeding you in that shitty place you ran off to?”
“Carter, baby, please…” Sophie was crying now, mascara running down her cheeks, “I didn’t mean for you to find out like this. We… I was going to tell you…”
“Tell me WHAT?” Carter’s voice cracked as he pulled his eyes away from the magnetic, freakishly tall beast of a man to look instead at the love of his life.
“That on the night I’m supposed to propose to you, on our anniversary, you’re in bed with the one person on this planet who basically destroyed everything I’ve ever cared about?”
“It’s not like that…”
Dallas only grinned, “Come on, Carter. That’s dramatic, even for you.”
“Then what is it like, Sophie? How long has this been going on for?”
Carter took a step toward her, choosing to ignore Dallas’s taunts, his whole body shaking with shame and humiliation and rage and hurt, so much hurt.
“Because from where I’m standing, it looks like you let my childhood bully fuck you right before I was going to ask you to spend the rest of your life with me. So please, please explain to me what it’s actually like!”
Sophie sobbed harder, covering her pretty face with her hands. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, I never wanted to hurt you…”
“I quit my job abroad, I moved back here to my hometown after seven years just so I could start a family with you. We were supposed to have kids.” Carter whispered in disbelief. “Don’t you know what he did to me in high school?”
“What are you talking about?” Sophie asked.
“Don’t you remember? I told you about Audrey, about Bianca, about every girl he… And you still…” His voice broke. “How could you do this to me?”
“Maybe you should ask yourself why they always choose me,” Dallas said, toying with him. “What is it about you, Carter, that makes them always look elsewhere?”
Carter, blinded by fury, crossed the distance between them in three quick strides and grabbed the front of Dallas’s shirt.
He yanked hard, hauling himself up onto his toes, and even then, even with all his strength behind it, Dallas barely moved.
The height difference was staggering. Carter had to crane his neck just to look him in the eye, and Dallas stood there completely unfazed.
“Get out,” Carter snarled, his face only inches from Dallas’s. “Get the fuck out of this room before I kill you. I swear to God, Dallas, I will fucking end you if…”
Dallas’s eyes grew soft for a tiny second, but only a second, and then the devilish smirk came right back. “Don’t you remember what happened the last time you tried to do that?”
Even more memories rushed back, and Carter remembered Jessica Freeman. His then girlfriend of eight months, sweet and smart and funny and everything Carter had thought he wanted.
She didn’t care that he was a stick-thin loser nerd who constantly got bullied and beaten up by Dallas and his army of football players. She’d loved him all the same.
Until the winter formal, when he’d found her in Damien’s car.
She looked up and saw Carter at the window, giggled an embarrassed “Sorry” and went right back to choking herself on his cock, while Dallas kept his dark eyes trained on Carter.
Grinning, winking at him, daring him to do something about it.
And he did. Carter usually prided himself in being calm and level-headed. He never caused any trouble, not like Dallas or his cronies, but that night, he was finally done.
He yanked the driver’s side door open, pulled Dallas out by his neck and hit him so hard in the face, over and over again, until he could feel his knuckles break and bleed.
Dallas lay there, his back to the ground, blood trickling out the side of his mouth, and that fucking grin never went away. Not once.
Not while Carter hit him, not when he stopped to bury his face in his hands and sob deep, shameful tears, not while he got suspended and Dallas walked away with barely any scratches.
His father’s money funding the whole school would ensure no consequences ever touched him, not this time, or any of the other times Damien had bullied and humiliated him.
Carter shook him furiously… or tried to, but it was as useless as trying to shake a mountain.
“You’ve spent all those years making my life hell. I even moved to a different country to get away from you, and now, on the one night that was supposed to be perfect, you’re here? Fucking my fiancée in my proposal suite like it’s just another game to you?”
“It's not really a game if I always win, is it pet?” Dallas said, and something flickered in his dark gaze, hunger and want and unbridled desire that made Carter’s skin crawl with disgust.
Sophie looked between both men in confusion, wondering just how well they knew each other, but not daring to say a word.
“I hate you.” Carter hissed while Dallas just raised one stupidly perfect eyebrow. “I hate you so fucking much. You ruin my life over and over and then act like...”
His voice broke as he whispered, “What the fuck is your problem, man? We were friends when we were little. Best friends. Until one day, you just decided destroying me was your life’s mission. So tell me… tell me why. What did I ever do to you that was so terrible you had to spend a decade making me pay for it?”
Dallas’s expression hardened, and a low, inhuman growl rumbled from deep in his chest, vibrating through Carter’s hands where they gripped his collar.
His lips pulled back slightly, and Carter saw teeth that were far too sharp and dangerous for comfort.
And his eyes, for just a heartbeat, flashed bright red!
Carter stumbled backwards, his hands releasing Dallas’s collar as if he’d been burned.
Dallas straightened slowly, his massive frame seeming to grow even larger in the dim light. The smirk was gone now, replaced by a cold, flat look.
“Careful, pet,” Dallas said quietly. “I’m not who I was seven years ago. Don’t make the mistake of thinking I am.”
“What the hell are you?”
“What’s the hurry?” Dallas buttoned his jacket slowly, practically stripping the smaller man naked with his dark, heavy gaze. “You’ll find out soon enough.”
He moved toward the door, and this time Carter stepped aside.
Dallas paused in the doorway, looking back to give one last sadistic smile.
“Welcome home, Carter. I’ll see you soon.” And then he walked out.

I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

Can they both work on letting go of the past and moving forward together or will fate have different plans and keep them apart?
How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.
Goddess Of The Underworld

Peace lasts exactly one lullaby. This is the story of an orphan pup who became a goddess by choosing her family; of four imperfect alphas learning how to be better. Steamy, fierce, and full of heart, Goddess of the Underworld is a reverse harem, found-family paranormal romance where love writes the rules and keeps three realms from falling apart.
A pack of their own
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.
Especially - Rule Number One - No Mates
When Draven meets Domonic, he knows that she is his mate, but Draven has no idea what a mate is, only that she has fallen in love with a shifter. An Alpha that will break her heart to make her leave. Promising herself, she will never forgive him, she disappears.
But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Let Them Kneel

She lived among humans—quiet, invisible, tucked away in a town no one looked at twice.
But when her first heat comes without warning, everything changes.
Her body ignites. Her instincts scream. And something primal stirs beneath her skin—
summoning a big, bad Alpha who knows exactly how to quench her fire.

She’ll be the dream he keeps chasing… the one thing that ever made him feel alive.
Because secrets never stay buried.
And neither do dreams.
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
Invisible To Her Bully
Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?
