Ravenshade: Blood Moon:A Romance of Vampires, Wolves, and Dark Secrets
José Paulo Francisco · Ongoing · 40.3k Words
Introduction
The town of Ravenshade lives under a constant veil of mist, where humans walk unaware of the shadows that watch them.
Selene Darkblood was born to lead an ancient vampire clan, but fate takes an unexpected turn when she meets Rael — a lone wolf haunted by his past and burdened with powers he barely understands.
Between them, something forbidden ignites: powerful, dangerous, and impossible to resist.
As their worlds collide, alliances are tested and the fragile peace between vampires and wolves begins to crumble. Under the crimson glow of the Blood Moon, the line between desire and destruction fades.
This is a story about choices, loyalty, and the courage to love when the world says you shouldn’t.
Welcome to Ravenshade — where blood, love, and destiny intertwine.
Chapter 1
The morning mist covered Ravenshade, shrouding the town in a thick, mysterious veil. The ancient mansions and tall trees emerged from the fog like shadows, giving the town an air of secrecy.
High on the hill, the Darkblood Clan mansion stood tall — somber, majestic, and full of secrets humans would never suspect.
Selene stood at her bedroom window, watching the world outside. University life gave her the illusion of normalcy. Among her peers, she was just another student — or at least that was what she pretended to be. Humans knew nothing about the supernatural hidden within the shadows of Ravenshade, and that was how it had to remain. The clan’s first rule was clear: secrecy was survival.
Dressed in a black coat and carrying her backpack, Selene headed to the university.
Classes were an almost comforting routine, something that kept her connected to an ordinary life — a life that was about to change forever. In just one year, she would undergo the transformation into a full vampire, a sacred tradition for every Darkblood upon turning twenty-one.
Though it was considered an honor, Selene couldn’t shake the uneasiness that haunted her whenever she thought about it.
In history class, Professor Rowena spoke passionately about the myths and legends of Ravenshade, unaware of how close she was to the truth. Selene tried to focus, but her mind drifted to thoughts of destiny and fear of the future.
Her best friend, Annalise, sitting beside her, noticed her distraction.
— Selene, are you okay? — she whispered, concern soft in her voice.
Selene forced a smile.
— Yeah, just tired. It was a long night.
Annalise accepted the answer but remained suspicious. She knew nothing about the supernatural, but she always felt something different about Selene. That intuition made her special — though Selene kept her at a safe distance, to protect her from the truth.
When she returned home, her father, Victor Darkblood, summoned her to his office. The air there was always heavy — filled with ancient books and the quiet authority of centuries.
— Sit down, Selene — Victor ordered without looking up from an old manuscript.
She obeyed, her heart pounding.
— Your transformation is only twelve months away — he began, his tone sharp but measured. — You’ve been loyal to the clan, but I sense restlessness within you.
Selene met his gaze bravely.
— I know what’s expected of me. I’m just... preparing myself.
From beside him, Amara, her mother, stepped closer, her presence cold and commanding.
— Transformation is natural, Selene. It’s accepting who you are. There can be no hesitation.
— I understand, Mom. It’s just... a big change. I’m trying to adjust to the idea.
— There’s no time for doubt — Victor cut in, his voice firm. — Loyalty to the clan is our strength. You must be ready.
Selene nodded, feeling the weight of her destiny press down on her chest. Dismissed by her father, she left the room, feeling more trapped than ever.
That night, in the solitude of her room, the darkness offered no peace. Selene stared at the ceiling, her heart heavy with uncertainty. Her fate was sealed, but deep inside, she wondered if there was something beyond the shadows her family forced her to embrace.
At dawn, the fog over Ravenshade barely lifted when another soul crossed its borders.
On a black motorcycle, Rael rode through the mist, his engine’s growl echoing through the empty road. Dressed entirely in black, the lone figure looked like a shadow himself. Those who glimpsed him through their windows watched in silence, curiosity and fear mingling in their eyes.
He slowed as he reached the center of town, where ancient buildings whispered forgotten stories. He wasn’t there for tourism — he was searching for something lost... or perhaps for himself.
The scars on his face told of battles long past, and his green eyes carried the weight of solitude. He stopped at Ravenshade’s only hotel, a crumbling stone building that fit perfectly with the town’s eerie beauty.
Inside, the weary receptionist studied him quietly.
— A room, please — Rael said, his tone calm but firm.
— We don’t get many visitors — the man replied. — But you don’t seem here for sightseeing.
Rael gave a humorless smirk.
— No. Just passing through.
He climbed to his room — a simple space with a view of the forest. He placed his briefcase on the bed, filled with maps, documents, and fragments of his past. He didn’t plan to stay long, but he knew his presence would not go unnoticed.
Vampires always sensed when something disturbed their domain.
As night fell, Rael lay awake, eyes fixed on the ceiling. His body rested, but his mind wandered through centuries of pain and memory. Unlike ordinary wolves, he carried a rare bloodline, one that granted him a hybrid form — half man, half beast — stronger than either race alone.
Life in Ravenshade would be a test.
Not just for him, but for the city... and for the ones who ruled it from the shadows.

The Contract Wife: Marriage Of Malice
He didn't finish. He didn't need to.
I didn't tell him to stop.
Instead, my fingers curled into his shirt, clutching the fabric as though it was my only anchor. Something in him snapped—something he had been holding back for too long. His mouth found mine in a kiss that wasn't tender, but hungry, desperate.
I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.
