Introduction
I was born to two of the most powerful heroes alive and dreamed of being normal.
That dream came with a price.
When my parents swore it would only happen over my dead body, I listened.
I planned.
I disappeared.
Declared dead, I finally escaped their world of masks, training, and impossible expectations. I built a life that was quiet. Ordinary. Mine.
But the past has a talent for resurrection.
After a brutal mutant attack shatters my fragile normal, secrets begin to surface. Not all of them belong to me. Lies unravel. Loyalties crack. And the truth about my family may be more dangerous than any villain they ever fought.
Faking my death was easy.
Surviving what comes next won’t be.
Chapter 1
BREAKING NEWS!!!
IT IS FINALLY CONFIRMED!
OUR BELOVED LITTLE FOX HAS FALLEN!
General Storm and Lady Rose are heartbroken over this freak accident and have asked us to give them the space needed to grieve.
The TV was turned off immediately after the news finished talking about my "death.” It took just over a month for them to announce who the possible one death was. My nerves were starting to get the better of me as I began to worry if they were ever going to announce who died in the storage explosion. I sank deeper into the cheap armchair that sat in my lonely living room. Realization hit me as I sat in silence. I cannot believe it worked! After over a year of so much careful planning. I was free from my family. The chance at a normal life was in the palms of my hands. A NORMAL life. I am not even sure I would have been able to make this happen without my nanny, Elizabeth. She raised me my whole life. Elizabeth was more of a mother to me than my actual mother, Lady Rose. Elizabeth knew exactly what kind of hell I was in living in that place that was supposed to be my home. This is why, after I was punished for begging to go to school to be a normal kid, she and I worked in secret to make this plan fail-proof. Once we had the money and resources for me to start fresh, I just had to wait for the perfect opportunity to fake my own death.
Once I went underground, she could never know what happened to me. Or where I ended up. The ID she got me would only be temporary. I tossed them for new ones the moment I could. It was the safest way for her not to be implicated in my running away. The chaos would be unimaginable if my parents knew I wasn't dead. It did make me wonder if they genuinely believed me dead or if they thought I might be alive. Thinking I had been lying about not wanting to have an everyday life anymore, that it was a silly teenage dream from watching too many teen movies, and that I would rather train and be a superhuman like them, just without powers, of course. I would not dare to try to answer that question. If I did, I would certainly be caught.
Elizabeth gave me the name of a lady who runs an underground witness protection program for abused women and teens. They help them get new IDs and identities to start a new life. They were a group outside the law who helped people escape dangerous situations. That the courts would take forever to deal with, or worse, get bribed away, so the victims could continue being abused. Going this route gave me the best odds of success because of my family's ties to law enforcement from being heroes. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone on the police force was in my parents' pocket. I have no definite proof of anyone being in their pocket, though I had my suspicions because they would get a lot of mysterious calls at odd hours of the day and night. One time, curiosity got the better of me, and I followed them. With all the training they gave me, I was able to watch without fear of being seen. I decided I would follow them a few more times and see what I could figure out. They kept meeting up multiple times with a blonde cop with a rose tattoo behind her ear. I never risked getting close enough to get a real good look at her. From what I could see, was that she was of average build with blonde hair, Ivory skin, and then a single rose tattoo behind her ear. I had a funny feeling that was a symbol she was loyal to my mother.
Before heading into the underground witness protection program. I dyed my hair black to hide my famous red curls. I even French braided it so they could not tell how curly my hair was. I also got brown contacts to hide my green eyes. I did everthing I could do to hide who I was. The only thing I knew I would struggle with hiding once I was back in the real world was the scars on my body and the birthmark on my hand. I kept the scars on display while under ground. I used make up when ever I could to hide my birthmark. This could not fail. It took me over a week to finally get to my final destination. I would have gone further but I got nervous with the lack of my death on the news. I didn’t want to go too far just in case something happened, and I had to go back. I was passed around to five different families, who changed my name each time I was with them to hide my trail. I wonder if they knew the truth of who I was, would they still help me? With the scars on my body from ruthless training and fighting it was easy enough for the people who passed me along to believe I was abused and sold to bad people, and I had no way of getting free from it all unless I had their help. I had to be careful of how I talked because of my higher education, or the ruse would fail. Criminals don’t beat and abuse a kid who might come from rich and powerful families. They would just keep them safe and blackmail them until they got the money they wanted. Kids from poor families are the ones who are usually physically abused.
Finally got to the last person on my trip to my new life, she was the only one who asked me what I wanted to have my new name be. It took me a minute to decide on what I wanted to be called from now on and it was clear who I wanted to be, I would never see this person again, and if I did, I had to pretend I did not know them, but I wanted to honor her.
Elizabeth... Elizabeth Hawks.

“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

In despair, Sable left, reclaimed her true identity, and married her childhood neighbor—Lycan King Caelan, nine years her senior and her fated mate. Now Darrell desperately tries to win her back. How will her revenge unfold?

What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

King of the Underworld
However, one fateful day, the King of the Underworld appeared before me and rescued me from the clutches of the most powerful Mafia boss's son. With his deep blue eyes fixed on mine, he spoke softly: "Sephie... short for Persephone... Queen of the Underworld. At last, I have found you." Confused by his words, I stammered out a question, “P..pardon? What does that mean?”
But he simply smiled at me and brushed my hair away from my face with gentle fingers: "You are safe now.”
Sephie, named for the Queen of the Underworld, Persephone, she's quickly finding out how she's destined to fulfill her namesake's role. Adrik is the King of the Underworld, the boss of all bosses in the city he runs.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
