Introduction
I was clutching the debit card where my paycheck went, but I still couldn’t afford my daughter’s hospital bill.
And the man who did this was my husband—the same husband diagnosed with low sperm count.
Just when I had nowhere left to turn, a man appeared who looked shockingly like my daughter.
He actually suspected my daughter was his!
Chapter 1
Victoria Spencer sat frozen at the dining table, her mind reeling as she stared blankly at the divorce papers Aiden Smith had just thrown in front of her. Her entire body trembled uncontrollably.
Just an hour ago, she had been joyfully preparing a candlelit dinner to celebrate their third wedding anniversary.
And now, Aiden had walked in with another woman by his side, casually tossing the divorce agreement down before her.
“Victoria, sign it and make room for Bianca.”
Make room?
So, the past four years of marriage had been nothing more than her own foolish illusion—a complete farce from beginning to end.
Victoria lifted her tear-filled eyes to Aiden, her body shaking. "You want to divorce me for her? Aiden, have you forgotten who stood by you when you had nothing?”
Aiden scoffed, his expression cold and laced with mockery. "You still have the audacity to bring that up? Victoria, look at yourself now. Your right hand is useless, you can't even hold a pen steady. What value do you have to me? Creative Haven's position now needs an internationally renowned designer like Bianca, not a cripple like you!"
Cripple.
Those words pierced straight through Victoria’s heart, stealing the air from her lungs.
Four years ago, that car accident happened because she was rushing to deliver design drafts to him. Her right hand was shattered, and it had never fully healed.
Q, the genius designer who had once amazed the whole city, had disappeared since then.
And now, he was calling her a cripple.
A hollow laugh escaped her lips as tears streamed down her face.
How could this man be so heartless?
Bianca, standing close to Aiden with her arm linked through his, smiled sweetly. Her gaze toward Victoria carried a trace of pity. "Victoria, Aiden is just thinking about the company. You know Creative Haven is at a critical stage for going public. With your hand in that condition, you’re no longer fit to stand by his side.”
Victoria stared hard at the couple, clearly angry.
"This is my home. Please leave!"
Aiden’s voice remained emotionless. “Not for much longer. This house is marital property, but I paid the down payment, and I’m covering the mortgage. Victoria, for old times' sake, I won't ask you for emotional damages, but you're not taking this house."
A faint, almost amused smile tugged at his lips.
“You expect me to walk away with nothing?” Victoria stared at him in disbelief. His features were still the face she'd loved for years, yet now it felt like she was looking at a complete stranger.
Back in college, she had pursued him relentlessly. At the time, the Spencer family had not yet fallen into ruin. She'd married him against her family's wishes, lived with him in a cramped apartment, ate the simplest meals, and poured all her talent into helping him climb step by step to success.
And now that he had everything, she was being cast aside.
"What else?" Aiden stepped closer, gripping her chin roughly. "Everyone in the city knows about your Spencer family's dirty business—the tax evasion and all that."
He paused before continuing with disdain, "A woman from such a disgraceful family—what right do you have to my property? And how could I ever trust someone like you to raise Yara?”
At the mention of their daughter, Yara, Victoria's whole body shook. Panic surged through her as she pushed Aiden away. "You want our daughter? Aiden, you're dreaming! I carried Yara for ten months and gave birth to her. You thought she was a burden and never even held her once! What gives you the right to take her from me!"
“I have money. I can give her the best education. As for you—you can barely support yourself.”
With that, Aiden shoved her aside.
Victoria collapsed onto the floor, a sharp pain shooting through her injured hand. She clutched her wrist, her face draining of color.
In truth, it wasn’t only her parents who had opposed the marriage—she had hesitated too.
There were things she had never told them. If they had known Aiden had fertility issues, they would never have agreed to the marriage.
So by the wedding, she had already undergone IVF.
She'd never even mentioned divorce over that, and now Aiden was the one asking for it.
How ironic.
"Sign it!" Aiden looked down at her, his gaze icy. “Don’t force my hand. It will only make things more humiliating for you.”
Victoria slowly lifted her head to look at him, her heart turning colder with each passing second.
This was the man she'd loved for seven years.
This was what she got in return for giving him her youth, her devotion, her everything.
It turned out she had never truly known him at all.
In that moment, something inside her shattered completely.
"Fine. I'll sign."
Struggling to her feet, Victoria picked up the pen with her trembling left hand.
Since he could be so heartless, she would stop caring, too.
"Aiden, I loved you for seven years. I'll just treat those seven years as a joke. From this moment on, we owe each other nothing.”
She forced back her tears, lifting her chin with quiet pride. With her unsteady hand, she signed her name on the agreement.
At that very moment, her phone on the table began vibrating frantically.
Victoria glanced at the screen. It was a call from the kindergarten teacher.
A sudden wave of dread washed over her.
She answered the call, her hand shaking so badly she could barely hold the phone. "Hello..."
"Ms. Spencer, something's wrong! Yara suddenly fainted and had a terrible nosebleed that won't stop. The ambulance has taken her to City Hospital. Please come immediately!”
The words crashed into Victoria like thunder.
Her grip gave out, and the phone slipped from her hand, hitting the floor with a loud thud.
“Yara…” she whispered, already rushing toward the door.
Aiden grabbed her wrist. “Where do you think you’re going? Make it clear—when are you moving out?”
"Let go!" Victoria spun around, her eyes bloodshot as she screamed hysterically. "Yara's in the hospital! Aiden, if anything happens to Yara, I'll make you both pay with your lives!"

"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
