Introduction
"E... Evan..." Both Alan and Lydia were stunned at the sight of Evan Royston. They stood frozen in place, not knowing how to react.
Chapter 1
The taxi slowly stopped in front of the apartment. Candice Hayes, wearing heavy makeup and a seductive black dress, paid the fare using her phone. She carried a thermos flask as she got out of the car. Inside was the chicken soup she had been stewing since four in the morning. Just like before, she had deliberately added ingredients such as ginseng, astragalus, and angelica.
Her fiancé, Alan Royston, loved the chicken soup she made, and he always finished every last drop. Today was the day he returned from his business trip abroad, and before boarding the plane, he had specifically mentioned how much he missed her chicken soup during his extended trip.
The thought of Alan's blissful expression while eating made the corners of her mouth unconsciously curl up. But the happiest and sweetest feeling in her heart was not just about that.
Alan's brother, Evan Royston, would be getting married in a month. Taking advantage of being overseas, Alan ordered a diamond ring weighing several carats for Candice, in preparation for his grand proposal at Evan's wedding.
Candice couldn't help but feel overwhelmingly happy just thinking about that scene. To be able to marry Alan, such a handsome and devoted man, made her feel truly blessed.
Ding..., The elevator slowly opened before her eyes, and Candice stepped out, wearing a twelve-centimeter-high pair of heels. Perhaps due to hurrying, her right foot twisted uncontrollably. Her body took a few stumbling steps forward, but fortunately, she managed to grab hold of the marble wall in front of her just in time to steady herself.
Taking a look at the thermos flask in her hand, she felt relieved that she hadn't dropped it earlier. She didn't like wearing such high heels; she twisted her foot almost every time she wore them, which was real torture for her, but Alan liked it, and she didn't want to disappoint him.
Looking at the door so close in front of her, she lifted her foot to try to walk towards it, only to feel a sharp pain in her ankle. She took a few deep breaths, leaning against the wall and slowly rotating her ankle, hoping to alleviate the pain.
"Darling, be more careful... What if your fiancée hears about this? It wouldn't be good..." A voice came from the living room next door, and Candice turned her head to see that the door was slightly ajar.
She didn't have a habit of eavesdropping on other people's conversations. She planned to support herself against the wall and slowly move to the door of her and Alan's future home.
"No worries. What can she do, it’s just Can..."
Just then, Candice walked in and interrupted him hallway, “Ali," she shouted with a trembling voice, tears streaming down her face. "Look at what I've become for you! Was it all a joke to you?"
The couple was taken aback, their expressions turning somber. "Ah-!" Lydia screamed. Candice's sudden appearance had startled the two people on the sofa.
Alan, in a panic, grabbed a towel and wrapped it around himself, standing in front of Lydia Collins. He was furiously shouted at Candice, "Candice, are you crazy?!"
"Heh, am I crazy? My fiancé is sleeping with another woman, what do you think I should do? Throw a party to celebrate with you?" Candice said while struggling to hold back her tears. This jerk in front of her wasn't worth her tears.
But she couldn't control herself. Anger shook her body, and tears fell like broken beads. This sight was like a sharp knife stabbing her stomach.
"Is it my fault? I always disliked you from the beginning. It was you who willingly got involved. Candice, everything can only be blamed on your."
"Willingly got involved, huh! Why didn't you say you didn't like me? Was it fun for you to deceive me, you jerk?" Candice became more and more devastated as she spoke, her voice trembling.
Seeing her agitated state, Lydia quickly wrapped herself in a towel and prepared to run to the bedroom from the other side! "You stay right there!" As Lydia was about to run, Candice impulsively rushed towards her, giving her a smack on her face.
Just as Candice was about to land another smack on Lydia’s cheek, Alan grabbed her and raised his hand, smacking her hard, and pushed her forcefully towards the door without hesitation.
Candice was dizzy from the slap, and stumbling back a few steps. Suddenly, her foot twisted, and she fell down unexpectedly. Lydia, who had originally wanted to leave, flashed a mischievous, victorious smirk as she witnessed this scene.
"Alan, Miss Hayes is already upset. How could you do this? Hurry and help her up..." Lydia's voice was gentle, but her tone became stern the next second. "Ouch..."
"What's wrong?" Alan instantly looked concerned.
Tears welled up in Lydia's eyes as she looked distressed. "She scared me earlier, and I think I twisted my foot."
Alan furrowed his brows and lifted Lydia horizontally, gently placing her on the sofa. His voice was full of worry, "Which foot did you hurt?"
"My right foot." Alan immediately took hold of her ankle and began massaging it gently. "Alan, don't be so worried. Actually, Miss Hayes didn't do it on purpose. Ouch, it hurts..." Lydia grimaced while giving Candice a barely noticeable mocking and disdainful glance.
Candice felt a burning pain on her face, her mind buzzing. The pain in her ankle was even more intense. A strong scent of blood surged through her nose, and crimson liquid fell onto the floor.
Candice hung her head, looking at the bloodstains on the ground which intertwined with her tears, in sync with her shattered heart.
Alan rubbed Lydia's ankle while glaring at Candice harshly. "Candice, since you've seen it today, we won't hide it from you anymore. Yes, I am indeed with Lydia, and she's already three months pregnant. And let me warn you, if you ever dare think of laying a finger on her, I'll kill you!"
Candice looked up at him coldly, unable to believe that the man she had loved for seven years could be like this. It turns out that people can be shameless to such an extent.
"Kill her! Don’t you even dare touch a strand of her hair!" A cold voice suddenly came from the door!

Mated To The Cold Hearted Alpha
"You want me to fuck you, I know it"
"As much as you don't like me, you're my mate and you can't deny it."
He stood up behind me, one hand holding my hip, and leaned down, his breath ragged against my neck, his voice was husky,
"You'll listen to your body... what it wants... and my body... what it needs. Only the pleasure that a small bite can bring."
At the age of 15, I was shocked to hear the ruthless Alpha claim that I was his mate.
