Introduction
Chapter 1
The advert was too good to be true. That should have been my first warning.
“Housekeeper needed. $10,000 per month. Must live on-site. No family required.”
I stared at my laptop screen in my tiny apartment. Ten thousand dollars. Every month. That would pay Mom's hospital bills and my student loans. Maybe even leave something extra that I could live on.
My phone buzzed. Another medical bill. Another amount I couldn't pay.
I clicked "Apply Now" before I could change my mind.
Three days later, I drove my old Honda up a mountain road that seemed to go on forever. Tall trees blocked out the sun. Fog wrapped around everything like a cold, wet blanket. My GPS kept saying "Continue straight" even though I hadn't seen another car for an hour.
Then I saw it. Blackthorn Estate.
The house was huge. Dark stone walls reached up three floors. Windows stared down at me like eyes. The front door alone was bigger than my whole apartment.
I parked and grabbed my two suitcases. Everything I owned fit into them.
The door opened before I could knock.
"Miss Martinez?"
The man in the doorway made me forget how to breathe. He was tall, with shoulders that filled the door frame. His dark hair had silver streaks, though his face looked young. But his eyes were gray like storm clouds and seemed old. Very old.
"I'm Donovan Wolfe," he said. His voice was deep and smooth. "Welcome to Blackthorn Estate."
His handshake was warm but careful, like he was afraid of breaking my hand.
"Thank you for this opportunity, Mr. Wolfe."
"Please, call me Donovan." He took my suitcases like they weighed nothing. "Let me show you to your room." He took me inside while I walked behind him.
The inside was even bigger than the outside. Dark wood covered every surface. Paintings of forests and moons hung on the walls. Everything smelled like pine and something else I couldn't name.
"The house has one hundred and twelve rooms," Donovan said as we climbed a giant staircase. "You'll only need to clean about twenty. The rest stay locked."
"Why locked?"
He glanced back at me. "I enjoy my privacy. I work from home and prefer not to be disturbed."
We stopped at a door on the second floor. The room inside was beautiful. It had a big bed with soft blue sheets, a bathroom with a huge tub, and windows looking out at the forest.
"This is mine?" I couldn't believe it. Back home, my room was just a quarter of this room.
"Of course. You'll be living here full-time." He set down my bags. "There are a few rules."
My stomach tightened. Here it comes.
"First, never enter the basement. Second, the west wing is off-limits. Third, don't go outside after dark. The woods are dangerous."
"Dangerous, how?"
"There are wild animals like bears and mountain lions." He smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes. "Fourth, if you hear strange noises at night, ignore them. This is an old house. It makes sounds."
I nodded, though something felt off about his explanation.
"The kitchen is stocked. Eat whatever you want. New food arrives every Monday. You don't need to shop." He handed me a phone. "This connects to the house system. If you need anything, ask ARTEMIS."
"Artemis?"
"Our smart home assistant. ARTEMIS, say hello."
A woman's voice filled the room. "Hello, Miss Martinez. I'm here to help."
I jumped. The voice seemed to come from everywhere.
Donovan almost smiled. "You'll get used to her. One more thing. Here's your salary."
He handed me an envelope. Inside was a cheque of ten thousand dollars.
"The first month, in advance," he said. "If you stay the full year, there's a fifty thousand dollar bonus."
My hands shook. This money would change everything.
"Thank you," I whispered.
"Dinner is at seven. The dining room is downstairs, first door on the left." He turned to leave, then stopped. "Sierra?"
"Yes?"
"You're safe here. As long as you follow the rules."
The way he said it made me shiver.
That night, I barely slept. The house made strange sounds. I heard creaking, tapping, and something that sounded like breathing in the walls. But the worst part was the howling.
It started at midnight. Low and sad, like something in terrible pain. It came from below the house. From the basement I wasn't supposed to enter.
Those weren't wild animals. I knew what dogs sounded like. This was different. It was bigger and sadder.
It sounded more like human.
I pulled the covers over my head and told myself it was just the wind. Just the old house settling. Just my imagination.
But deep down, I knew I was lying to myself.
Something was very wrong at Blackthorn Estate.

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.

But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
