Jane. CA · Ongoing · 111.8k Words
Introduction
That earned her a scoff. Then his hand moved, not gently, his fingers brushing down the line of her neck, across her collarbone. She tensed under his touch, her breath quickening as every nerve screamed for her to flee. But she didn't move.
His fingers moved lower, brushing over the fabric of her dress, just very close to her breast. Akira inhaled sharply, not in shock, but in the dull, hollow way she had grown accustomed to his touch.
Leaning closer, his lips moved over her shoulders. She hated that her skin still responded to him; her wolf hated it too. But after seven years, even hatred had lost it's sharpness.
His hand slid up, cupping her breast through the fabric. She flinched- just slightly. He noticed. He always noticed. "You're harder today," he whispered, brushing his thumb slowly over her nipple. "Almost like you missed me."
Akira said nothing. His other hand smoothed over her hip, then gave a sharp, playful smack that made her jerk. A grin tugged at his lips.
"I like when you're quiet," he said. "You're best when you're quiet."
Akira closed her eyes. She could feel the warmth of his cock pressed against her.
The day Akira chose to escape from school and return home to see her family, she met only ashes. After fifteen years of being hidden from the prying eyes of the Grand Alpha King, the one day she finally returns home, everything is gone.
No family. No friends. No hounds.
And worse, she is captured by Prince Dominus. She spends years in slavery, secretly planning her escape. When the opportunity finally comes, she flees. But where is safe from the Alpha King's reach.
Just when she begins to believe her life is taking a better turn, she is abducted again by the very ones who destroyed her past. The ones who exterminated her family. The ones who took her captive.
And now, she discovers an unthinkable truth: she is fated to the Grand Alpha King, the same man who once ordered her family's death, the same one who tried to claim her years ago.
How can she accept being mated to such a monster? Worse still, how can she tell him that his son, Prince Dominus, also desires her?
Chapter 1
"My King, the letter... it says-" Beta Derrick's voice trembled, his hands visibly shaking as he held out the paper.
He couldn't bring himself to read its contents aloud. Not to him. Not to Alpha King Edward of the East.
"What does it say, Derrick?" the King growled, snatching the letter with a snarl that echoed through the grand hall.
Alpha Edward's golden eyes narrowed, scanning the words in silence. His brow furrowed. Muscles coiled with growing tension as he read further.
His heart stilled. Then he paused. A blink.Another.
No... He read the line again. He hoped he was reading wrong.
"All Alpha-born daughters of age...or pure bloodline are to be delivered to the Capital. By order of the Grand Alpha Kaelen."
Edward's fingers curled slowly around the paper, crumpling it until his knuckles turned bone-white.
"T-They want every Alpha... to send their daughter to the Capital?" he whispered, still in disbelief..
Silence.
The kind of silence that falls just before the storm hits.
Then- he exploded.
"Over my dead body!"
His roar shook the very foundations of the Eastern Palace. Windows rattled. The torches lining the walls flickered. A dark, seething aura burst from him as his wolf surged beneath his skin, clawing for release.
"She is not some pawn to parade in front of that hungry bastard in the North!" he spat.
He turned to the guards behind him, who instantly looked away, shoulders tense.
Even so, they knew what Edward's fury could be like.
A heartbeat later, he slammed his fist into the carved oak table beside him, and splinters flew in every direction. A deep crack snaked its way across the oak table.
"My daughter is not, will never be a blood host for those beasts!" he roared.
His Alpha power pulsed outward. Beta Derrick collapsed to his knees, head bowed, his wolf submitting instinctively. Sweat beaded on his brow. "P-p-p-l-e-a-s-e"
"She's not going anywhere near that damned Capital," Alpha Edward snarled, voice low and deadly. His eyes burned a fiery amber-gold, the unmistakable mark of his wolf pushing forward.
"They think because they sit on the Grand Throne, they can summon our daughters like cattle?"
He spat on the floor. "We are not their pets!"
"Your Majesty- " Derrick dared to speak, his voice barely above a whisper. "You know what they're capable of..."
The Northern pack. The ones they once called beasts though they are something even more dangerous- Cold-Blooded Iron Wolves.
They'd ruled the werewolf kingdom for centuries after overthrowing the former rulers-Nightvale. They thirst for both blood and power. And they had it ... .and, wealth, armies large enough to bring down an entire kingdom.
No Alpha challenged them, No rogue crossed their borders, No pack dared breathe too loudly in their direction.
And now they wanted his daughter.
Akira... A pup- barely two years old.
His only girl, after six sons. The first child in a generation born with the purest Alpha blood. And they dared ask him to give her up?
Tears filled Derrick's eyes. A sorrowful growl escaped his throat. Around them, the guards bowed their heads in. It was forbidden to witness an Alpha, let alone a King in an emotional state.
"P-Please, my King..." Derrick whispered. Then looked up. He froze.
Alpha Edward's face had changed. Ash-grey, laced with crimson. Veins darkened under his skin. His wolf was rising, close to the surface. His decision was final. And it is nothing close to honouring the Grand King's request
SEVENTEEN YEARS LATER.
"Have a nice holiday, Akira!" a voice called from outside the bus.
"See you next semester," another added, waving at Akira.
Princess Akira turned from the wagon, forcing a smile as she waved back. But it was fake. She wasn't happy.
This would be her first time returning to her home pack in a very long time. More than a decade since she saw her family.Years since she last touched her Hounds, hugged her friends, or walked among the familiar faces of her people.
She had always spent the school holidays at her aunt's in the Southern pack. But this time, she was done. Fed up. She was going home, whether anyone liked it or not. Just because she respected her father didn't mean she believed him.
Something wasn't right. She could feel it. But no one would say a word. They kept her hidden in foreign lands so the Grand Northern King wouldn't come for her.
It's been seventeen years, and still, they didn't trust what he might do. So Akira was kept away, isolated, and lied to.
She leaned back, her shoulders hitting the hard wood of the wagon. Her fingers gripped the side for balance as memories rushed back. The miserable life she'd lived.
An Alpha's daughter, forbidden to come home. Forbidden to make choices.
They forced her into an all-girls school. Forced her to wear frilly, feminine clothes when everyone knew she was a tomboy. Worse, they separated her from her Hounds. And not a single one of her six brothers had shown up the day she got her wolf.
Once- just once- Akira wished she belonged to the Western packs. At least then she could mind link with her family, reach out to them whenever she wanted. But no. Her bloodline was the purest wolf kind, and they couldn't mind linking but heal faster.
To her, that was a worthless privilege. She wanted more. With that, she unzipped her backpack and pulled out two photos. The first showed her with her Hounds; Rocco and Snoopy. She traced their faces with her thumb, smiling softly.
"One more hunt with you guys," she whispered, blinking back tears. She had missed them.
The second photo was of her family: her parents and six older brothers. It had been taken ten years ago, when she was just nine.
Akira blinked down at it. Her fingers trembled slightly as she traced her mother's smile, Her father stood tall, his strong arm resting protectively on her shoulder. Her brothers stood behind them in the photo loud, protective and proud..
She blinked again trying to hold back the tears but the tears fell anyway.
"I miss you all," she whispered.
She closed her eyes, drawing in a shaky breath as the ache in her chest deepened. So many years apart. So many memories buried.
Little did she know why. No one told her, not even her brothers. They'd all been warned not to say a word to her, she must not know they're walking on broken glass for the past seventeen years hoping the Grand King's silence means he's forgotten.
A few minutes later the wagon gave a low groan and stopped at Eastern Pack territory. Akira opened her eyes and wiped her cheeks quickly before glancing around. They had arrived.
Akira leaned forward, narrowing her eyes. The sky looked... wrong.
A bluish-grey haze to the edge of the horizon like smoke. Something felt off. She couldn't explain it, but every nerve in her body was on alert then, there came the whispers.
"Is that smoke?" someone murmured as they stepped off the wagon.
"I heard it started at Eas- " The name snapped Akira's attention, Eastern pack. Her hometown.
"No, no. Someone said the Northern Knights were there."
Akira's heart jolted. It raced faster. Panic slowly crept in as her gaze narrowed, her curiosity piqued.
"What happened?" another girl asked. "Rogues? Or... wait, was it the Western Prince's wedding?"
Her breath caught in her throat at once. Her brother's wedding?... And she didn't even know. She hated being away. She can't imagine missing any of their weddings.
'Fuck you dad, fuck you mom for not telling me one of them is getting married. '
"My cousin said the Grand King gave a secret order," one girl whispered. "He sent the Iron Wolves out today."
Akira's blood ran cold immediately she heard the mention of iron wolves. They never moved unless it was war... or the extermination of a family in the werewolf kingdom.
They were infamous for their brutality- wielding weapons and burning talismans to shift into their wolf forms. When they did, they went feral, though not all of them survived after going feral, most people say it's a curse.
A chill raced down Akira's spine as the buzz in the parking zone grew louder.
"They're attacking... Someone said it's a purge."
"A purge?- Of whom?"
"The Eastern bloodline."
Akira couldn't breathe. That was her people. Her family. Her brothers. Her friends. Her pack. Her bloodline. She pressed a shaky hand to the window, heart still pounding in her chest. Her wolf stirred inside her, frantic, though unable to speak.
Were Rocco and Snoopy safe? Her parents? Her brothers? Those were the thoughts in her head.
"Oh my goodness!" one girl suddenly screamed, eyes wide as she stared at the darkening sky. "That's not natural fire!" she revealed.
"Moon fire," someone whispered. "Moon goddess help us. No werewolf can survive that."
Akira froze upon hearing the moon fire. Moon fire isn't any kind of fire, it weakens wolves and burns them without the chance to escape or put it out. Her mind couldn't grasp it. Her family... her home... Her hounds, all dust now, for defying the Grand King seventeen years ago.
"They're here!" a terrified voice cried out, snapping everyone's attention.
"Who?!"
"The Iron Wolves- run!" Screams exploded in the air as armoured soldiers stormed the clearing. Tall. Dressed in black steel. Warrior outfits and high knee boots. It's the Iron Wolves.
Without warning or questioning, just brute force they began dragging everyone. The first soldier reached a nearby bus and yanked a girl out by her hair. Her scream pierced the sky. Another tried to run, but a silver chain wrapped around her neck and slammed her to the ground. Akira jumped up, heart pounding but the back exit ripped open before she could move.
And there he was.
Prince Dominus. The Grand King's first son.The most feared across the four axes of the werewolf kingdom.Even though He could shift without going feral. He also wielded a sword like death itself. He is most ranked for the numerous noble heads he's killed.
Two more armoured wolves stormed in behind him. Akira tried to fight. She punched. Kicked. Bit. But she was no match. One seized her wrist. Another backhanded her and Pain burst through her cheek before she finally hit the ground, knees scraping against gravel.
"Let me go!" she screamed struggling to breathe. The next second one of the men took out his whip giving Akira a taste of it. White-hot pain seared across her back and she gasped, choking on dust, face pressed to the ground..
"No!" Prince Dominus growled. "Don't flog her," he ordered and they quickly obeyed. They bound her wrists in silver cuffs and yanked her to her feet like she was nothing.
Her vision blurred. Her wolf raged, but the silver... the pain it caused her was unbearable as they dragged her, However, the last thing she saw before being shoved into the slave truck was Dominus's eyes.
It was filled with lust.

In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."

Triplet Alpha: My Fated Mates
"No." "I'm fine."
"Fuck," he breathes. "You're—"
"Don't." My voice cracks. "Please don't say it."
"Aroused." He says it anyway. "You're aroused."
"I'm not—"
"Your scent." His nostrils flare. "Kara, you smell like—"
"Stop." I cover my face with my hands. "Just—stop."
Then his hand on my wrist, pulling my hands away.
"There's nothing wrong with wanting us," he says softly. "It's natural. You're our mate. We're yours."
"I know." My voice is barely a whisper.
I spent ten years as a ghost in the Sterling mansion—a debt slave to the triplet Alphas who made my life hell. They called me "Carrot," shoved me into frozen rivers, and left me to die in the snow when I was eleven.
On my eighteenth birthday, everything changed. My first shift released a scent of white musk and first snow—and three former tormentors stood outside my door, claiming I was their fated mate. All three of them.
Overnight, the debt vanished. Asher's commands turned to vows, Blake's fists became trembling apologies, and Cole swore they'd been waiting for me all along. They declared me their Luna and promised to spend their lives atoning.
My wolf howls to accept them. But one question haunts me:
Would that eleven-year-old girl, freezing and certain she would die, forgive the choice I'm about to make?
The CEO Above My Desk
“I know she does.”
“And what if she doesn’t want this kind of protection?”
“She will,” I say, my voice lowering slightly. “Because she needs a man who can give her the world.”
“And if the world burns?”
My hand tightens subtly at Violet’s waist.
“Then I’ll build her a new one,” I reply. “Even if I have to burn the old one down myself.”
I don’t work for Rowan Ashcroft.
I work beneath him.
From my desk, I decide who gets access to the most ruthless CEO in the city, and who never makes it past the lobby. I manage his time, his silence, his enemies. I keep his world running while my own quietly collapses under unpaid bills, a mother locked in rehab, and a brother who vanished without a goodbye.
Rowan Ashcroft is power wrapped in a tailored suit.
Cold. Untouchable. Merciless.
He doesn’t flirt. He doesn’t smile. He doesn’t see people, only usefulness.
And for a long time, I was just useful.
Until he started watching.
A shift in his attention is subtle at first. A pause too long. A look that lingers. Orders that pull me closer instead of pushing me away. The man who stands above my desk begins to control more than my schedule, and I realize too late that being noticed by Rowan Ashcroft is far more dangerous than being ignored.
Because men like him don’t crave affection.
They crave possession.
This was supposed to be a job.
Not a test of my limits.
Not a slow, deliberate descent into his authority.
But if Rowan Ashcroft decides I belong under his desk, then so be it.
Survival has a price, and the bills don’t care how I pay them.
