Introduction
Chapter 1
The sounds of rain drizzling wake me up, and I look at the time. I am thirty minutes early, it's still seven-thirty, I have to be at work by eight, so I lie in the bed and stare at my almost empty apartment.
I am twenty-seven, and yet my life isn't as rosy as I imagined years ago when I left school.
Being one of those who had calculated life to be all merry after school, reality had gradually eaten away my delusion, and here I am at thirty-five still paying my student loan.
A job that helps me get by after paying bills and mortgages, no wife, no kids, no vacations.
It can't get any bad than this, I tell myself. I stand up and work to the bathroom and shower, I come back out and put on a new suit, my only suit. I feel it's new because I took to my dry cleaner and he had cleaned it too well.
I look at myself in the mirror and try a smile, everything looks good except my eyes.
I look tired, too tired.
It's all Maria's fault my boss at AMT Internationals. She seemed to be sent from hell, always yelling Arnold to do this and do that.
Walking out of my apartment building, I look up and notice the rain is getting fiercer by the minute. I turned to go back in to get an umbrella. I need one before I get a cab, and after,
Geeez! I have to walk back up!
I was about to turn when I heard a voice call out to me.
Hey, do you need a lift?
I turn and look at Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 SUV staring at me. I walk up close, slowly, her face shines into my eyes. I can feel the rain slow down when she asks me, do you need a ride?
"Hell yeah, I need a ride, I need a ride in a ride", but I reply with a nod and pull open her door and escape from the rain.
"Where are you headed?"
"May street, AMT building."
"You work there?" she asks me.
"Yes, I do."
"So what do you do?"
I hesitate for a minute as her blue eyes peel me open.
She hits the throttle and heads straight into traffic.
She says to ease the silence now looming over us,
"My name is Queenie Dale." I smile and say "Arnold, Arnold Shaw"."
And stretch my hand out. It was routine for me to do so after saying my name, so it happened as a reflex.
She stares at my hand and leaves a short smile that says "I can't shake you now".
I don't mind, I put my hand by my side where it belongs. and then I look out the window counting the taxing drops on it.
She asks again, "what do you do Arnold?"
This time I just say it, "I help the big guys upstairs run analysis, just the paperwork".
"Okay," she answers, the traffic moves slowly, she puts on the stereo, and the beetles come on and she sang along with them.
I watched her, and all I could notice was her cleavage. My eyes would not stay with me after that moment, and the question pops into my head about sex. "When last did I have sex?
And now it occurred to me, like a revelation, that I am deprived.
"Are you married?" She asks, cutting my thoughts.
"What?
"I said have you married Arnold?"
"No, I am not married.
Okay, that is good. Let's have lunch then
I watched her with my mouth slightly open wondering if I had heard her correctly.
Until she affirms one more time, I want to have lunch with you Arnold, and then she parks the car and says we are here.
I say "okay." Not knowing which I was replying to. I drop down and hurry to my office building.
I enter the building and Maria Caslov is on the ground floor waiting to yell "you are late!
"I don't care," I say in my head, but I rush straight to the elevator and then press the button continuously. but the door doesn't close until Maria enters the elevator, like a conspiracy.
I stand there and think about my morning as the lift takes us to the fifth floor.
I hurry to my desk and begin to sort out the files piled on it. It's just nine o'clock, and the files here could pull a camel, a bit of an exaggeration. but that is how I feel right now, like a camel being pulled by files.
"Listen up everyone, we have a new owner, I hear Maria Caslov", my immediate boss says.
AMT International has been bought by 'DALE cooperation'.
Miss Queenie Dale is our new boss.
The second shocking news for today. I rush to the bathroom and wash my face.
My breath skipping, I say it out loud so it would make any sense, but it freaks me out the more.
' I just got asked out by my boss!
I calm myself down before I go back to work, but curiosity gets the better of me and I look her up online. She was everywhere, from buying businesses to real estate and philanthropy.
Just everywhere, you just pick your poison and paint a picture.
"Arnold, the boss wants to see you?"
I look up and Maria smiles at me. Maria never smiles at me.
I stand slowly sweat covering my whole body as I walk to the elevator and press the 13th number, which is the last.
I go upstairs and straight to her office and knock.
"Come in," I hear her sweet voice call to me.
I enter and stand a little distance from her large oak table.
Waiting for her to finish what she was doing, I look around and admire the office, how spacious it was, and how beautiful it was too.
"Did you consider my offer?"
"Yes, Miss Dale." without a second thought.
"Call me queenie," she says, and stands up with a warming smile on her face. Come, she motions to me, and there it was a table set for lunch.

Badass in Disguise
"Jade, I need to check your—" the nurse began.
"OUT!" I snarled with enough force that both women backed toward the door.
Once feared by Shadow Organization that drugged me to replicate my abilities into a more controllable version, I had escaped my restraints and detonated their entire facility, ready to die alongside my captors.
Instead, I woke up in a school infirmary with women arguing around me, their voices piercing my skull. My outburst froze them in shock—clearly they hadn't expected such a reaction. One woman threatened as she left, "We'll discuss this attitude when you get home."
The bitter truth? I've been reborn into the body of an overweight, weak, and supposedly dim-witted high school girl. Her life is filled with bullies and tormentors who've made her existence miserable.
But they have no idea who they're dealing with now.
I didn't survive as the world's deadliest assassin by allowing anyone to push me around. And I certainly won't start now.

Damien Sterling—future Alpha of the Silver Moon Shadow Pack and ruthless CEO of Sterling Group—slid a contract across his desk with predatory grace.
“Sign this, little doe, and I'll give you everything your heart desires. Wealth. Power. Revenge. But understand this—the moment you put pen to paper, you become mine. Body, soul, and everything in between.”
I should have run. Instead, I signed my name and sealed my fate.
Now I belong to the Alpha. And he's about to show me just how wild love can be.

His mouth took mine eagerly, a little rudely.
His tongue left me breathless.
“If you don't go with me, I'll fuck you right here.” He whispered.

Falling for my boyfriend's Navy brother
"What is wrong with me?
Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.
He’s my boyfirend’s brother.
This is Tyler’s family.
I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.
**
As a ballet dancer, My life looks perfect—scholarship, starring role, sweet boyfriend Tyler. Until Tyler shows his true colors and his older brother, Asher, comes home.
Asher is a Navy veteran with battle scars and zero patience. He calls me "princess" like it's an insult. I can't stand him.
When My ankle injury forces her to recover at the family lake house, I‘m stuck with both brothers. What starts as mutual hatred slowly turns into something forbidden.
I'm falling for my boyfriend's brother.
**
I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
Fangs, Fate & Other Bad Decisions

But thanks to a mix of cocktails, shame, and her questionable life choices, she takes him home. Turns out, he’s not just any vampire—he’s a king. And according to him, she’s his fated mate.
Now, she’s stuck with an overprotective, brooding bloodsucker who keeps rescuing her, a growing list of enemies who want her dead, and an undeniable attraction that’s making it very hard to remember why falling for a vampire is a terrible idea.
Because if she’s not careful, she won’t just lose her heart—she’ll lose her humanity.
Nanny and Her Four Alpha Bullies
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
