Introduction
He didn’t want a wife; he wanted a pet.
Sick and twisted.
I just had to play along until I had a chance to get away from him, and I would get that chance, no matter how long it took.
Long ago when the world was new and all creatures were created, a great war broke out between the four most powerful factions, The Dragons, The Griffins, Vampires and The Pegasus tribe. Many died in those early years, though not a single soul can remember how it began, the hatred blossoming through generation after generation. The continent was in ruins, and many lived in fear of the next attack, on all sides. The Werewolves and humans fled, wanting no part in any of it, the same goes for The Witches. No one could see an end to the terror and devastation, not even those who ruled.
That was, until my great, great Grandfather decided that enough was enough, he wanted to end the war so that future generations could live in peace, therefore the firstborn treaty was created. The treaty dictated that the firstborn, be it a girl or boy, will go and live with one of the other factions, learning their ways and customs, becoming a part of their culture.
Like many before me, I ventured out into an unknown world...

Chapter 1
I sat with my back straight and my hands across my lap, waiting for the meeting to be over, I hated these things, but as the first-born, I must learn it all. I needed the knowledge I would gain to one day rule over my people. I was the great, great granddaughter of The Great black Dragon Albus Thorn, the creator of the treaty that led to the way our lives our now.
My father was king of our tribe and served his people well, but soon, I will take over and he will step down. It was the way things were done and I was pleased that he trusted me enough to hand over our tribe. It was a blessing.
That was, when I didn’t have to sit through the meetings like this one.
My father’s second in command Lord Syrian sighed as the treasurer continued to talk about how much money we made/spent on trade this year. He couldn’t stand to hear him drone on about it either, that’s why he was my favourite.
“Therefore, I believe that this year will be the most productive yet.” The treasurer finally finished, sighs of relief flooding the meeting room.
My father cleared his throat, capturing the attention of everyone in the room instantly, his voice booming like the great Dragon he was. “If that is all, I need a moment to talk to Syrian and my daughter.”
“Yes, my king.” Came the voices of the men and women around me as they stood and turned to leave.
My father turned to me, and I was instantly on edge, normally whatever he says can be shared with everyone, so whatever it is, it mustn’t be good news.
I straightened my spine and prepared for the worse.
If I had done something out of line, I would own up to it and grant my apologies, because that’s what a good leader does.
“Lucinda, we have had news from Deiter, king of The Griffin’s.” My father said, his eyes watching me, searching for weakness that I wouldn’t show. “He has demanded a wife to stop his attacks on the eastern front. He said he wants ‘the blue-eyed dragon’ and will accept no other.”
My eyes widen and I clench my fists, Dieter wants me? But why?
I was the only Dragon born with blue eyes, it was unnatural for our kind, normally it was only shades of black, red and orange. I was a mystery. But did that mean I stood out?
Lord Syrian jumped to his feet and slammed his hands against the table, he had never been one to control his emotions, he was very angry. Anyone could see that. “Majesty, you cannot be seriously considering this, Deiter will kill her the moment they meet!”
I raise my hand to silence Syrian, knowing that I must think of the people first, not just myself. If this is a chance to end a lifetime of war, then what other choice did I have? I rose to my feet and kept my face blank, hiding the tears that I wished to shed.
“Has he agreed to cease all fighting?” I ask my father, fearing the answer.
“Yes.” He nodded, his black eyes watching me, almost knowing what I will say. “He will trial your presence among his people for two months, then he will marry you.”
“Lucinda do not agree, they are barbaric creatures and treat women as slaves.” Lord Syrian snarls, his nose filling with smoke, showing he was losing control of his dragon counterpart.
“Let it be her choice, dear friend.” My father says calmly, trying to tame the lord’s Dragon.
I sigh, knowing what I must do and yet fearful to obey my mind, “What will happen if I decline?”
My father looked away from me for the first time, his voice low. “He’ll kill every man, woman and child in the eastern region.”
I nod my head, understanding the risks. “I accept. There is no other choice, we choose our people first.” I pause, my heart shattering within my chest. “My brother Declan is reaching his fifteenth cycle next month; you will have to train him or the throne father.”
My father nods, but his second in command speaks; “You are going to accept?!” Lord Syrian protests, “You are like a daughter to me, I can't lose you to them.”
I smile sadly, placing my hand on his. “It must be done; the eastern region is vulnerable. I cannot be the reason our people die. I’m not afraid Syrian.”
Syrian rips his hand from mine, “You should be, they’re not a nice species, nor a forgiving one.”
He storms from the room and leaves me alone with my father, a trail of smoke following him as he almost shifts in the hallway.
I turn to my father. “He’ll understand eventually.”
“Perhaps, though I wouldn’t be so sure, my child.” my father sighs, watching the closed door before turning to look at me, pulling me into his arms. “Are you sure about this? You can say no.”
“My father once told me not to say no because of fear, that saying yes is giving yourself the courage you will need for the future.”
“Wise man.” My father chuckled.
I pull away from his embrace. “How long before I must leave?”
“His messenger returns within the hour; you must go with him.” He frowns and I sigh, it wasn’t a lot of time.
“Then I will begin to pack.” I say absentmindedly, trying to hold myself together.
“You cannot, they insist they’ll provide for you. Take nothing.”
“That is strange.”
“Yes, but we don’t understand their culture. It may be customary for them. You must follow the rules they give you if you want to survive.” my father pulls me in for one last hug. “Write to me.”
“I will write weekly.” I smile sadly, this may be the last time I see my family.
I can't even say goodbye to my mother or brother as they are both away now, they’re visiting the outer cities. I wish I could have seen them one last time, but it just isn't meant to be.
“I will miss you, always.”
“As I will you, my child.” my father mutters and I could tell he was also losing control of his Dragon.
“I’ll take my leave.” I say, fighting a battle with my own counterpart.
My father nods and I turn and leave, my heart shattering and my mind fearful of what the future will hold for me.

He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
When I Disappeared, He Regretted It
The moment the screen lit up, my entire world came crashing down.
The woman on the bed was Calista - that girl who grew up with us since we were kids. And that hand caressing her skin was wearing the wedding ring I had personally put on Matteo's finger.
"I've missed you so much..."
"You drive me crazy, baby..."
Those sweet words I knew so well completely destroyed me.
Everyone said we were the perfect couple, but who knew this marriage was built on nothing but lies?
Since he's so good at acting, I guess it's time I gave him a show of my own. I'm going to make sure everyone sees what this "perfect husband" really is...
I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.
Confrontation would be too cheap. Tears are worthless. I quietly started cataloging the hidden networks my father left behind, activating the Swiss accounts.
In seven days, Zoey Smith will cease to exist. And what will my husband's reaction be?
Falling for my boyfriend's Navy brother
"What is wrong with me?
Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.
He’s my boyfirend’s brother.
This is Tyler’s family.
I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.

As a ballet dancer, My life looks perfect—scholarship, starring role, sweet boyfriend Tyler. Until Tyler shows his true colors and his older brother, Asher, comes home.

I'm falling for my boyfriend's brother.
**
I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

“I am done chasing you.”

His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
