Introduction
Born into a werewolf family without the ability to shift, the mute captain of the Mavericks has spent her entire life fighting to prove she belongs. She refuses to bow to powerful Alphas, especially Ryker Wilder, the arrogant hockey captain destined to inherit one of the most powerful packs in the territory.
Their rivalry only grows fiercer when they're forced to share the same training grounds. But after one unexpected encounter, Ryker discovers a secret that turns his world upside down.
Amber is his mate.
She has no idea.
As competition on the ice turns into dangerous pack politics, hidden enemies begin to show up, determined to destroy everything Ryker is destined to become. Protecting Amber should have been simple.
Falling for the one woman he can never have wasn't.
Chapter 1
Amber
“Due to renovations, the Elite Hockey Team and the Mavericks Winter Sports Club will now share one rink and one training facility.”
I was sure I'd read the Dean's lips correctly, but I still turned to Nat, my best friend. She stood beside me with one elbow resting lazily on my shoulder, though her attention wasn't on me anymore. Her eyes were narrowed at one of the Elite hockey players standing across the hall, and judging by the way the rest of his teammates looked ready to explode, the announcement hadn't gone over well.
I pulled out my phone, typed a quick question, and held it up. Siri's voice echoed softly between us.
"Nat, did the Dean explain why? The renovations are only temporary."
She finally looked at me, her brows drawing together.
"They're acting like the world is ending," she mouthed carefully so I wouldn't miss a single word. "It's only for a few months, but those jerks think sharing a facility with us is beneath them."
Before I could respond, an angry voice cut through the hall.
"You seriously expect us to share our rink with a bunch of half-breeds and that mute girl?"
The entire room seemed to pause.
If I could hear him that clearly without straining, then he had to be shouting at the top of his lungs.
Fucking jocks.
Always full of themselves.
The Elite hockey team had always believed they owned Belgrave Academy. They had the trophies, the funding, the media attention, and the strongest pureblood Alphas. To them, the rest of us barely existed.
My teeth clenched at the word half-breeds.
Those insults weren't new. Neither were the sneers that followed them.
Belgrave divided its athletes into two worlds.
The Elite teams consisted of powerful pureblood wolves gifted with exceptional abilities, students everyone expected to go professional or inherit influential packs after graduation.
Then there was the Mavericks.
Our club accepted everyone the Elite teams didn't want. Omegas. Half-breeds. Wolfless students like me. Wolves whose abilities weren't considered strong enough. The academy called us misfits years ago, but somewhere along the line we stopped treating it like an insult. If they insisted on looking down on us, then we'd wear the name with pride.
I slid my phone back into my pocket and signed for everyone to move.
Enough listening to people bark.
We had already lost nearly a week of practice because of the renovations, and our competition against Hugos Academy was only a few weeks away. Every hour on the ice mattered.
My teammates grabbed their equipment and followed behind me toward the rink entrance.
We barely reached the doors before a group of hockey players stepped directly into our path.
Six of them, all wearing the Elite team jacket.
One folded his arms with a smug grin stretching across his face.
"Didn't you hear what we said?" I looked at him without answering. Another player tilted his head toward the rink behind us.
"Turn around. This facility belongs to the Elite team."
According to who?
I calmly took out my phone again, typed a sentence, and turned the screen toward him.
“Your practice doesn't start for another hour. I confirmed the schedule with the athletics office this morning.”
He glanced at the screen before laughing.
"And?"
I typed another sentence.
“Then move. My team has work to do.”
The grin disappeared from his face. Instead of stepping aside, he deliberately moved closer until barely a foot separated us.
Behind me, I felt several uneven breaths.
Nat grabbed my sleeve. When I glanced back, a few of the newer Mavericks lowered their heads instinctively while others shuffled backward, unable to meet the Elite players' eyes.
That had to be the Alpha pressure.
Purebloods loved using it whenever they wanted to remind everyone who sat at the top of the hierarchy.
Unfortunately for them...
There was nothing inside me to answer that call.
Maybe because I was completely wolfless. Maybe because there was simply no wolf inside me to submit.
Either way, I felt absolutely nothing.
The blond player's confident smile slowly disappeared, replaced with a furrowed brow.
"You should already be on your knees."
His teammates chuckled.
"Maybe humans don't understand Alpha commands."
"Or maybe she's too dumb to know when to back off."
I sighed. I was done wasting my time trying to reason with some blockheads. Clearly, they weren't planning to move.
Slowly, I raised both hands and planted them firmly against his chest before shoving him out of my way.
It wasn't enough to knock him down, but it sent him stumbling a step sideways into one of his teammates.
The laughter stopped, every single person in the hallway froze.
The player's eyes widened in disbelief before his face twisted with anger.
"You little—"
He lunged forward, but Nat immediately stepped beside me.
"So what?" she snapped. "You think because she's wolfless she'll just stand there and let you push her around?"
The rest of the Mavericks instinctively gathered behind us
Across the hallway, more Elite players moved in until the space between both teams disappeared completely.
The atmosphere turned suffocating.
Students from the other sports clubs quietly backed away, sensing a fight was seconds away.
The blond player let his eyes glow, another wave of Alpha pressure rolling through the hallway.
Several of my teammates winced. The argument died so abruptly that even I noticed it. Every pair of eyes shifted past me toward the rink entrance, and before I could turn around to see what had everyone's attention, the crowd had already begun to part.
I frowned and followed their gazes.
A tall figure walked through the opening with a hockey bag slung over one shoulder, his stride calm and unhurried, yet somehow commanding everyone's attention the moment he appeared.
His eyes swept across the players before settling on me.
His jaw tightened.
The look he gave me was cold enough to freeze the entire rink.
Beside me, Nat leaned close enough for me to catch her lips.
"Amber..."
"That's Ryker Wilder." Nat mouthed. My breath hitched.
Everyone knew about the captain of the Elite team. I expected we would cross paths after we moved here, but the moment those golden eyes pierced through me, I finally understood why the heir to the Westbrook Pack was feared.

Rumors swirled about this enigmatic man—whispers claimed he was hideously ugly and too ashamed to show his face, possibly harboring dark, twisted obsessions.
Without hesitation, the Baileys sacrificed me to protect their precious biological daughter, forcing me to take her place as a pawn in this cold, calculated arrangement.
Luckily, in those four years, the mysterious husband never asked to meet in person.
Now, in the final year of our arrangement, the husband I've never met is demanding we meet face to face.
But disaster struck the night before my return—drunk and disoriented, I stumbled into the wrong hotel room and ended up sleeping with the legendary financial mogul, Caspar Thornton.
What the hell am I supposed to do now?
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
I’d appreciate all your support, thank you so much!
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

Locked in her frozen tower, Bella dreamed of warmth, of touch, of freedom and of love. Cursed with the power of ice and snow, she’s spent her life alone. A secret they tried to protect the world from. Her only escape comes in the form of the books she reads. Stories of heat, desire, and the kind of love that could melt even her frostbitten heart.
Damien is the Beast. A dragon King with a temper forged in flame and a soul hollowed by duty. The world fears him. The people call him a monster. But beneath the scales and the rage lies a man who has never been touched by love.
When frost meets fire, the world shatters. She was never meant to leave her tower. He was never meant to find her. But destiny doesn’t bow to kings or care for cages and now the question burns through them both: Can Bella have her Beast? Or will the girl of snow melt in the heat of his desire?
.
"I’m keeping her."
"What?"
Before I can react, he scoops her up. Her small body fits easily in the cradle of his talons. For a split second, she looks startled, but not afraid. Her hand rests against one scaled finger, and she stares up at him with that same curious wonder, as though she’s already forgotten she was ever meant to fear me.
"Put her down," I try to command, panic threading through my thoughts. "You’ll hurt her."
"She’s ours," the beast insists, possessive and fierce. "Our snowflake."
Pawn of the Starless God
Instead, a god found me.
One moment, I was bleeding beneath the neon glow of the city, my life slipping through my fingers. The next, a glowing blue screen appeared before my eyes, offering me a choice that was never really a choice at all.
Accept the Summoner’s Mark. Or die.
Now I belong to the Death Game — a brutal cosmic system where ordinary people are turned into Players, thrown into impossible missions, and forced to survive horrors designed for the amusement of gods.
Every trial has rules.
Every monster has a weakness.
Every victory comes with a reward.
And every reward makes me less human.
My name is Nerissa Valehart, and I refuse to be anyone’s pawn.
But surviving the Game means trusting the one man everyone warns me to fear.
Veyren Ashford is ruthless, powerful, and dangerously beautiful — a veteran Player with blood on his hands and secrets in his soul. He says attachment will get me killed. He says love is a weakness the Game always punishes.
Yet when death comes for me, Veyren is the one standing between us.
In a world where gods gamble with mortal lives, monsters hunt from the shadows, and desire may be the deadliest weakness of all, I have only one goal:
Survive long enough to cross the board.
And make the Starless God regret choosing me..............

Perfect. Let them think they won.

Alpha Under Love Spell
Thorin pushed her on the bed and pinned her with his body. He growled near her face, “Liar!”
“No! No! I am not lying!”
“Then explain this!” Thorin whipped the screen of his phone near her eyes. Maeve looked at the screen, and her eyes widened with shock. It was a DNA report. It clearly said that Valeska was Maeve and Thorin’s daughter. “You have been lying to me for months now. Why did you hide that she is my daughter? Why did you start hating me? Did you never love me?”
“What should I have done? Let you kill my daughter!” snapped Maeve.
“What? Kill? What the hell are you talking about?” shouted Thorin.

Taste of Fate: The Vampire King's Human Mate
He reached for the back of my head and pulled me up just enough to reach my neck. When his fangs slid into me, the pain was instant, electric. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t think. My hands found his shoulders, clawing for something to hold. My legs kicked. Tears streamed down my cheeks.
He moaned against my throat as he drank, and the sound was devastating.
After One Night with the Alpha
I thought I was waiting for love. Instead, I got fucked by a beast.
My world was supposed to bloom at the Moonshade Bay Full Moon Festival—champagne buzzing in my veins, a hotel room booked for Jason and me to finally cross that line after two years. I’d slipped into lacy lingerie, left the door unlocked, and lay on the bed, heart pounding with nervous excitement.
But the man who climbed into my bed wasn’t Jason.
In the pitch-black room, drowned in a heady, spicy scent that made my head spin, I felt hands—urgent, scorching—searing my skin. His thick, pulsing cock pressed against my dripping cunt, and before I could gasp, he thrust hard, tearing through my innocence with ruthless force. Pain burned, my walls clenching as I clawed at his iron shoulders, stifling sobs. Wet, slick sounds echoed with every brutal stroke, his body unrelenting until he shuddered, spilling hot and deep inside me.
"That was amazing, Jason," I managed to say.
"Who the fuck is Jason?"
My blood turned to ice. Light slashed across his face—Brad Rayne, Alpha of Moonshade Pack, a werewolf, not my boyfriend. Horror choked me as I realized what I’d done.
I ran away for my life!
But weeks later, I woke up pregnant with his heir!
They say my heterochromatic eyes mark me as a rare true mate. But I’m no wolf. I’m just Elle, a nobody from the human district, now trapped in Brad's world.
Brad’s cold gaze pins me: “You carry my blood. You’re mine.”
There is no other choice for me but to chose this cage. My body also betrays me, craving the beast who ruined me.
