Introduction
"You were talking about sex."
My heart tripped.
"No, we weren't."
His dark brows lifted.
"Messier," he drawled. "Your words."
Heat bloomed in my chest.
"You were eavesdropping."
By the time I got there, he'd gotten down on one knee and sat down in front of me, one hand on the armrest. His scent hit me---smoke and cedar. "And I didn't like what I heard."
Possessiveness laced every word, thick and heavy.
My stomach flipped in that knowing way.
"You don't own me."
He leaned in like he always did. His lips brushing against my ear.
"Oh I do."
I shivered.
His fingers went to my wrist, his thumb making slow circles over my pulse. I caught my breath. He always did this---teasing me open, oh so easily.
"You can't just drag me away every time someone mentions---"
His mouth curved against my jaw.
"I can."
My heart thudded.
Arrogant bastard.
Luna Elara of the Crescent Moon Pack discovers her husband's affair with her sister and is thrown into the dungeons, where despair awakens her prophetic bloodline. Cold Alpha Axel forcibly takes her to save his dying mother—she despises his tyranny, he loathes her defiance, and they are at each other's throats from their first meeting. Though they hate each other, they desperately save one another in life-or-death moments; though they clash constantly, they tend each other's wounds in the depths of night. She believes he's just another user like her ex-husband, while he thinks she'll never truly care for him. Until the blood moon night when she takes a fatal blade meant for him, until the moment of life and death when he betrays all his principles for her—only then do they realize in shock that this entanglement born from hatred has long since transformed into inescapable devotion. When the ancient temple demands blood sacrifice, when enemy forces close in on all sides, can these former enemies set aside their prejudices to face destiny together, or will they betray each other once more at the final moment?
Chapter 1
Elara.

“This is ridiculous..” I muttered, rubbing my temples. The platter of ribs were splattered on the floor, staring back at me mockingly. I had just prepared these as Damon's dinner and apparently, Freya believed they were poisoned and threw them on the floor.
“You have no right to speak to me that way you witch!!” She spat, swaying her hips with her arms crossed. “It's bad enough that you let yourself in here. Now you try to poison my brother?”
I ignored her, and bent down to pick up the juicy slabs of meat on bone. A soft sigh escaped my lips. “Freya, Damon hasn't had anything since he left for the provincial meeting this morning. If you could just let me give him dinner, I'll be out of your hair.” I said quietly. She was insufferable when it came to her brother, and not in a good way.
She laughed, a sound so strangely sinister and filled with hatred I didn't understand. Slowly, she stormed towards me, and gripped my jaw in one quick motion. Her eyes flashed wolf as her claws lengthened, tearing my skin ever so slightly. “You filthy thing.” She hissed. “Growing wings, I see. Now let me remind you. I am the Alpha's blood sister, which means I can tell you to do whatever I want, whenever I want. You will not object.” Her claws dug deeper, and I clenched my jaws to refrain myself from reacting.
“Yes, Freya.” I answered in a hushed tone, avoiding her gaze. She retracted her claws, drawing a small trail of blood as she marched out of the kitchen, leaving me to wallow.
I am the Luna, aka, the Alpha's mate, yet I have no fucking say in my own house.
Again, this is ridiculous.
The familiar scent of greenery and fur wafted into my nose, and my head turned to where Roscoe, my dog was poking her head through the doggy door in the kitchen. I opened it up for her, and she immediately attacked the ribs on the floor.
They were no good anyways.
“Elara…we need to talk.” Deep, husky, and startling ravaged my ears, and I froze.
“Jaxon, don't do that…” I exhaled, trying to calm myself. He smiled softly, and rested his hands on the countertop. He gestured for me to sit on the counter stool behind, and poured us each a glass of orange juice.
It was my favorite.
“Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you.” His voice was weirdly quiet. “Your anniversary with Damon is coming up, and normally, as his Beta I'd be in charge of preparing everything for the celebration. But as your best friend, I need to know if you want to go through with it.” He said in one full breath, as if he'd been rehearsing it for days. His dark eyes held so much emotion I thought they would collapse from the strain.
I stared at him wide eyed for a while, then burst into fits of laughter. He seemed taken aback from my reaction, and held my hand on reflex. The gesture made me pause, and he retracted his fingers immediately. “Why would you think I wouldn't want to go through it?” I asked softly, smiling.
He bit his lower lip, still looking at me. “With everything that's been going on, are you sure?”
I took a deep breath and exhaled. “I'll be fine, Jax. You just do your job, and everything will turn out okay. Damon is a good Alpha, he doesn't treat me like the rest.” I reassured him. I might personally resent Damon's mom and sister, but my love for him was enough to tolerate their constant backlash.
“If you say so. I'll always be here.” A strange emotion flickered in his eyes, and he got up to leave. The kitchen door shut with a soft click, and my shoulders slumped.
I really hoped I believed what I said.
“Finally.” I said breathily. A new set of ribs were displayed beautifully on the tray, and I pay myself on the back for a job well done.
I hung my apron up, and my stomach rumbled in need. “You'll eat later.” I whispered. My wolf whined at me, and I shunned her as well. She had been a very bad girl lately.
Grabbing the tray of ribs and making sure neither Freya nor Elder Lydia were close by to toss these on the floor, I made my way upstairs towards Damon's room. “Please don't be mad at me…” I prayed silently. It has taken me twice the amount of time to prepare these ribs because I had to go hunting again, all by myself.
Damon hated when his dinner was late, and even though he never said it out loud, I always felt the rage whenever I delayed.
I took a deep breath, and lifted my hands to knock on his door when the unmistakable scent of another wolf wafted into my nose, making me freeze on the spot. My wolf turned alert, whining and scratching against my insides.
Did Damon have a visitor?
Is that why he hadn't come downstairs to ask for his food already?
I took a deep breath, unable to zone in on the wolf's scent. It was familiar, and that feeling sent a deep pit crashing through my stomach.
I calmed my racing nerves, and opened the door.
My heart fucking dropped.
“Damon, why don't you switch positions? You'll get it in deeper….” A female voice, one I recognized (unmistakably) to be my own sister, whispered breathily.
“You are one greedy female aren't you?” Damon rasped, but did as she said, switching positions so that he was grinding her from behind. He grunted and moaned, while she whimpered and begged as he thrust deeper and faster into her. Betrayal and pain were right in front of me, on my mating bed, and in my face.
“You feel so good Amara…” Damon released a low growl, one that he had never given me when we mated, and sank his teeth into Amara's nape. She squirmed, arching her back as the pleasure flooded through her system.
They both hadn't noticed my presence.
In that moment, I felt the excruciating agony my wolf was going through as she ravaged the space in my head, begging to be let free, most likely to rip apart the female who was on the bed with her mate.
Ribs, plates, forks, and my heart fell to the floor, shattering.

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

A Lesson in Magic
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
