Chapter 1
Izzy’s POV
That mansion had kept me imprisoned for as long as I could remember.
Every day, I would look out the window, wishing for a moment that I could be one of the birds as they soared over the sky. Only long enough to get away.
My heart, therefore, skipped a beat when one of Father's guards knocked on my chamber door and said, "He wants to see you." Perhaps he had finally decided to let me go.
I remained silent. My bare feet hardly made a sound as I simply followed the man along the chilly marble corridor. I hastily dabbed at my clothes with my shaking hands.
Perhaps he has changed. Perhaps he's prepared to give me my life back.
The door of Father's study crashed behind me as I walked in.
He was seated behind a big oak desk in his normal chair. One hand holds a cigar, the other a glass of whiskey. His icy look locked with mine.
He said, "Sit."
I took a seat.
There was silence for a while. Like a battle drum, my heart pounded in my chest.
Then at last he said something.
"You're going on a little trip, Izzy," he remarked.
I blinked. "A journey?"
"Towards the city," he continued. "Someone is going to meet you."
A weird shiver went through me. "Who?"
I felt sick to my stomach as he smiled.
"Someone who bought you for a lot of money."
At first, the words didn't make sense. I looked at him, trying to make sense of it.
"Paid... for me?" I said.
His elbows were resting on the desk as he leaned forward. "You are no longer a child. You're a female. And women are valuable, particularly attractive ones. He'll have you now. His belongings.
I halted breathing. "Are you trying to sell me?"
"No," he said icily. "I've sold you already."
"You can't!" My chair crashed behind me as I got to my feet. "You're my dad!"
He squinted his eyes. You are also my burden. Don't act as though you were unaware that this day would arrive.
I shook my head and said, "I won't go."
“You will,” he said, carefully getting to his feet. "There is nothing you can do."
"I would rather die," I yelled.
Then the slap arrived.
I was pushed back into the chair by the force and speed of it. My face was burning. Tears pricked my eyes, but I fought the need to cry.
He leaned down and said, "You'll go," with a low growl. "Or I will kill you myself."
A black automobile with tinted windows was thrown at me. The guard next to me remained silent and ignored me. I tried not to tremble as I sat with my hands folded in my lap.
Hours went by. The city appeared. Neon lights, tall buildings, and people drinking and laughing on the walkways.
It seemed like a different planet.
I wasn't going to the laughs, though. We drove to a big, icy, and terrible mansion on the hill that was gated.
The motorist arrived. The gate opened. Like luggage, I was pushed out of the automobile.
Before I could get to the front door, it opened.
And there he was.
Tall. Greasy hair. His hairy chest was surrounded by a gold chain. His eyes scanned me like I was meat, his shirt half unbuttoned.
"Glorious," he remarked. "Your dad told the truth."
I said nothing. As he got closer, my gut churned.
He smiled and continued, "My name is Carlo." "Doll, you'll come to love me."
He touched my cheek with his hand. I recoiled and took a step back.
His grin dimmed. "First rule. You don't distance yourself from me.
I bit my lip to keep from crying.
"Take her inside!" He let out a bark.
There were two guards. One took hold of my arm.
"No!" I thrashed and kicked as I yelled.
Still, they pulled me in.
They tossed me into a huge room with velvet drapes and golden mirrors. However, it had the feel of a jail.
With a loud click, the door locked behind me.
I fell to the ground and rolled into a ball. My body ached. I felt more pain in my soul.
Hours went by. Perhaps more. I had no idea. I was too numb.
Then I noticed it on the vanity table: a silver hairpin.
Something tiny, but piercing.
I had no intention of using it. Not at all. Not until the door opened and I heard it.
Drunk, Carlo stumbled in. His belt was half undone, and his shirt was open.
He said, "Time to get to know each other better."
My heart was racing. I got up and retreated into the corner.
He took a step toward her. "My dear, don't make this difficult."
"Avoid me at all costs," I said.
He chuckled. "You believe you can frighten me?"
I kept the hairpin behind my back in my hand.
He made a lunge.
I let out a yell.
Then I stabbed.
He got the pin in his neck. Choking, he gasped. The blood sprayed. Stumbling back, he gripped the wound.
His eyes widened in surprise as I saw him fall to the ground. Once, his body twitched. Then he ceased to move.
Dead.
Dead.
I let the pin fall. Blood was all over my hands. Everything was red, including my face, arms, and clothes.
I didn't consider. I simply ran.
Through the main entrance, down the corridor. I went unnoticed. The guards were either intoxicated or asleep.
Barefoot, cold, and trembling, I rushed down the hill.
In the distance, the city lights became hazy. My legs were burning. My lungs were burning.
I didn't stop, though.
I had to leave. I had to live.
Sirens.
Nearby, perhaps. Were they for me?
With my heart pounding, I turned into an alley.
Across the street, a spotlight shone brightly. Flashing red and blue lights. It echoed from a loudspeaker:
"Stop! "Hands where they are visible!"
Like a deer caught in headlights, I halted and blinked into the brightness.
I was encircled by four policemen with their weapons out.
I cautiously lifted my
blood-stained hands into the air.
Tears streamed down my face.
Then someone yelled, "She's covered in blood!" and the entire earth shook. Fall to the floor! Right now!

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The War God Alpha's Arranged Bride
Yet Alexander made his decision clear to the world: “Evelyn is the only woman I will ever marry.”
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...

The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."
Danielle Harris is the daughter of an overprotective police chief and has led a sheltered life. As a kindergarten teacher, she's as far removed from the world of Harleys and bikers as you could get, but when she's rescued by the sexy and dangerous Austin Carver, her life is changed forever.

The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
