The Glory of the Female Knight
Mia · Ongoing · 365.6k Words
Introduction
They say this is true love, that even His Majesty the King has made an exception to approve it. They want me to be an understanding wife, to continue managing family affairs and caring for his mother—essentially treating me like a servant.
Ridiculous! I am a duke's daughter, my father's blood flows through my veins, and I never bow to oppression!
When I saw them making love in the glass conservatory where my father once planted tulips for me, when I heard my mother-in-law tell me to please other men for the family's benefit, when I faced the sword point of my husband's mistress, I finally understood—
I don't need this kind of marriage, this kind of future!
I want a divorce, I want to return to my family, I want to become a brave and skilled female knight! To restore my family's glory!
Chapter 1
The carriage raced through the forest path. After a night of rushing, flags could be faintly seen in the distance through the window.
That was the temporary camp of the Dawn Knight Order, part of the Southern Expedition Army. From afar in the morning light, it looked more like a beast with bared fangs and claws waiting for prey to walk into its trap.
Arnell Virlet sat in the carriage heading toward the camp, praying she could arrive before the knight order broke camp. Her gaze fixed on the letter clutched tightly in her hand, her face showing no emotion, but the letter was covered in creases—clearly it had been crumpled up in frustration before being smoothed out again.
Two evenings ago, she had finally received news that her husband Holden Titan, whom she hadn't seen in three years, was coming home.
Though Arnell's husband, Holden, was only the second son of the Titan family, the Third Imperial Knight Order he commanded—the Dawn Knight Order—was a powerful force that allowed the Soth Empire to dominate the continent. His three-year southern campaign was also under orders to expand the Soth Empire's territory.
Now victory had been reported back. The small nations all the way to the southern coastline had surrendered, and Holden could finally return with his army, covered in glory.
Except now, Holden's glory had nothing to do with Arnell anymore.
On their wedding night, he had left with his troops. The letters he sent home went from once a week to every two weeks, then monthly, then every six months.
It had been almost two years since she last received a letter.
During the days when Holden sent no word, the letters she sent also disappeared without a trace.
Arnell forced herself not to overthink it. She had always assumed he was too busy fighting on the battlefield to spare any time, until a soldier returning home delivered a letter to her. Arnell recognized the handwriting—it was Holden's.
After waiting two years for a letter from home, what she finally received was news that her husband was going to marry another woman.
Tears welled up in Arnell's eyes. She couldn't understand how, after waiting three years at home for her husband's return, managing household affairs and serving his elders, taking on the responsibilities of the Titan family—with everyone envying him for marrying such a good wife—she had ended up like this.
She came from the Virlet family, renowned for military achievements. Her father was Duke Skoda Virlet, who had conquered most of the land for the Soth Empire. After her father died on the battlefield from a poisoned arrow, she had been forced into this marriage.
Arnell didn't want to see her mother disappointed, nor did she want to see this marriage deteriorate or even fall apart. But if she just waited, she would only wait until Holden's marriage to someone else became common knowledge.
For this reason, she had to talk to Holden alone before he returned to his territory.
Seeing the carriage stop, she clenched her fists tightly, suppressing the bitterness in her heart. Her maid Elisa beside her lifted the carriage curtain to look outside, confirming they had reached the Dawn Knight Order's camp, before helping Arnell down from the stopped carriage.
"Lady Arnell, are you sure you don't need me to come with you?"
Arnell didn't want to make this public knowledge. She shook her head calmly and walked toward the camp alone.
The knight order didn't stop her when they saw her sudden visit. Instead, the young soldiers blushed and enthusiastically led her to the tent where Holden usually rested.
When Holden heard the news, his face immediately darkened. He sharply dismissed the crowd, then lifted the tent flap and walked in.
After three years apart, Arnell finally had a chance to see the husband she had waited three years for. But Holden was no longer the affectionate man from her memories. He frowned, his brown eyes clearly full of impatience. "What are you doing here?"
Arnell gave him a slight curtsy. "I came to confirm something with you."
Holden froze, then realized what she meant. "Since you've already received the letter, you should have stayed home and prepared for the wedding with Mother. I was planning to return to the Titan family's territory with Candini anyway. Why did you take it upon yourself to come here?"
Arnell sneered sarcastically. "Wedding? Even if she's the first female knight commander in the history of the Soth Empire, mistresses don't need weddings, do they?"
"Shut up!" Hearing his beloved woman called a mistress, Holden's face darkened. "Candini fought alongside me for three years. We've given everything for the Soth Empire. How dare you, a woman who only has her father's reputation, demand that she be a mistress?"
"These three years, we can no longer be apart. I need her. I want her to be my wife. Understand?"
Need? Arnell's face showed little expression, but her eyes glanced again at the letter in her hand.
The letter was indeed passionate, even explicitly describing how they had sex on the battlefield. Just thinking about how, in that mountain of corpses and sea of blood, two naked bodies could writhe together like worms, their gasps echoing among the dead—when they rolled over, they might press against someone's severed hand, when their buttocks thrust, they might be next to someone's half-cut body... it made her sick!
Arnell's gaze calmly swept over the letter in her hand. When she saw the line about having already written to petition His Majesty the King for permission, she sneered. "If I remember correctly, even His Majesty the King can only have one wife."
"So what! As long as His Majesty agrees, what's wrong with breaking precedent once!"
Arnell laughed bitterly at his words.
Three years ago, at her wedding, which was also the day the Dawn Knight Order left for the southern campaign, Holden had only managed to exchange vows of eternal loyalty with her at the church. Under the colorful light filtering through the stained glass windows, he reluctantly removed his helmet and kissed the back of Arnell's blushing hand: "I, Holden Titan, will only love my wife Arnell Virlet for the rest of my life. My dear, I will bring you back victory."
She had waited three years full of hope, only for her husband to change his heart, only to have the manor welcome a new mistress.
Then what am I? Arnell wanted to ask, but felt the answer might be even more hurtful.
Arnell looked at Holden, a dark, unclear light flashing in her eyes. "So how will you arrange for me, or rather, deal with me?"
"Like other noble families do—pin some illness on me and send me to a monastery in the countryside?"
Holden shook his head helplessly. He considered himself not that kind of irresponsible man. Even though he had met his true love abroad, he didn't want to torment his wife at home because of it.
"You're still my wife. Even if Candini enters the family, nothing will change. You can still manage the Titan family's affairs. Besides, we're always on the battlefield and don't spend much time at home. You just need to stay home and take care of my mother and the others."

Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.

What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.

A pack of their own
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.
Especially - Rule Number One - No Mates
When Draven meets Domonic, he knows that she is his mate, but Draven has no idea what a mate is, only that she has fallen in love with a shifter. An Alpha that will break her heart to make her leave. Promising herself, she will never forgive him, she disappears.
But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
Invisible To Her Bully
Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?
