Introduction
Chapter 1
"This is it Alpha".
Matias made the black Mercedes halt in the front of a two story mansion with a large veranda on the upper floor. The huge steel gate looks old and rusty and it is wide open welcoming them in the beautiful sight of rose garden at the front yard. Attached to the mansion is where the parking garage and Jack went out of the car before Matias made it inside the parking.
The house isn't so bad,Jack thought. With just a few renovations it could be his home,until the day he will find her. His mate. The girl the witches have been telling the Royal Langstone family.Jack will have to take over as the Alpha of the Royal pack when his Dad,King Darius the Alpha King retires.But Jack has to meet his bride and marry her before ascending the throne.
The witches of Langstone manor had the vision,Jack's mate is a human. And her location is in this little town of San Augustine with the population of just over two thousand. Surely his mate will not be difficult to track.
He turned around when he felt Matias walking towards the entrance.
"This couch has to be thrown it looks shabby and old. I would like to have a fire place on the right side and a portrait hanged up that wall." He pointed at a place were the two grand staircases meet.
"Sure Alpha,we will take care of everything." Beta Matias follows him as he walks around inspecting every nook and corner of the mansion.
"Make sure the kitchen tools are complete. How many wolves are coming to work for us?
"About six Alpha." After mentally recounting,beta Matias is sure there were six men coming.
"See to it that they are strong and reliable, I don't want them to slack off. Remember what we came here for. Brief them with the rules of the house,they have to know it as well,not just pack rules. Since you are all be living and eating under same roof as you're Alpha".
"Of course Alpha Jack".
Matias bowed his head in submission to his Alpha's dominating voice. To be able to sleep in the same house with the future alpha King is a privileged to any ordinary wolf of the pack.
"Beta". Suddenly Jack tilts his head upward and sniffed the air.
"Deal with them,they are few minutes away. I will be upstairs checking the masters quarter". As the alpha,Jack can smell the scent of a wolf with in a few mile radius.
"Of course Alpha".
He continued his inspection in the upper floor.The mansion have four bedroom upstairs plus the masters room which opens into the wide veranda overlooking the rose garden. Jack thought his room needed more changes too. He needed a much bigger bed and a new modern toilet and bath. He sat down the bed remembering his Dad's words,the alpha king Darius before he left the manor.
"Find you're Luna Jack! Don't waste time engaging yourself with worthless she wolves. They are not what our relied witches have told. You are to be married into a human to continue the gift of our Royal bloodline." What you need is a human mate who is immune to silver as your future queen."
Jack looked at his Dad in disagreement but he cannot opposed the Alpha King.
"When did the witches discovered that my mate is human?
Alpha King Darius stand from his tall golden chair and give a condescending looked at his own son.
"Don't you doubt our own Royal advisor.He has been serving this kingdom for decades!
Even you're mom was human before we mated and then i turned her into a she wolf and she conceive you.It's the reason why we have keep our bloodline passed on the immunity to silver!
"You have to find your Luna,there's no time to waste!
The Langstone clan has the ability to withstand silver bullets and swords. But they have to be mated to a human just so they can continue this amazing gift that they had from the moon Goddess.
King Darius summoned the witch advisor of the manor to explain everything about the planned trip of Prince Jack into a far place where he would find his mate the future Luna Queen of the Royal Pack.
Moments later while King Darius is seated back at his long golden chair with Prince Jack in the corner standing beside the window pane of their huge meeting hall. The witch advisor arrived dressed up in a dark cloak with the queen beside him,Luna Helen Langstone.
"Good morning Alpha King Darius! And Prince Jack,lovely to see you both this morning".
Maleficus the witch wizard and the Royal pack advisor cheerfully sat on a vacant chair in front of King Darius after having done his usual greeting.
"Good morning my beloved Alpha". The Royal pack queen Helen throws her arms on King Darius and brushed her lips against him.
Her voice brought light to King Darius face and her presence have relaxed him in the chair. In mid forties,the queen has still no grey hair and she just loves to flaunt her chestnut brown long curls which made her looked more like Jack's older sister than his mom.
"I am glad you are here my queen".
The King murmurs in her ear with a slow but loving smile forming in his lips and in return she gave him a sweet smack on the lips before turning her head towards their son who is now just watching them both intently.
"Oh,come here my son! Why don't you give you're mother a warm embrace this beautiful morning".
Queen Helen stretched her arms in the air waiting for Prince Jack to come over and give her a hug. He can't say no to his mom as to him she is the person who is the most serene in the family. Both his Dad and him are a hot tempered being while his younger sister Princess Jasmin is a carefree soul.
Jack took a few lazy steps towards his Mom and gave her that sweet warm embrace. He loves his mom's warmth but she's too interfering with his affairs.
"How are you this morning mother?
He shortly added and move away after a few seconds. His mom bore a huge smile in her face before giving him her answer.
"I am very well and good my son! There is a good news for us that we were so very excited to tell you".
Whatever the good news is, Prince Jack seemed not interested. He knew it would be about him and his future human mate as what King Darius is insisting a few minutes ago.
He loves his mom,the Queen Luna but he still cannot fathom how it would be like for him to get a mate as fragile as a human. He who is big strong callused and rough,how would he adjust himself into a delicate and small human being as a mate. Few of the she wolves could not even handle his temper,though no one had ever complained about his roughness in bed as most she wolves loves it his way. But what about his human mate if it is true that he even has one.
"Do not doubt Prince Jack".
The wizard spoke as if reading his mind. Jack's golden brown eyes turned on the tall skinny grey haired male witch sitting in the chair. His aura of arrogance annoys him. It's as if he knows the future of this kingdom,when only the moon Goddess does.
Maleficus cleared his throat. He can see and feel the dislike of the Prince towards him.
"I have the location of the town where you will meet her Prince Jack,you're human mate will be found atlast".
"Marvelous!
Kind Darius stand,while the queen smiled at her son whose expression just showed a very slight interest.
"Do tell us Maleficus please! I can't wait to hear this good news in details. At last the new Luna queen of the Royal Pack, shall we prepare my son for the journey? Do you have a vision of the exact date,it might be sooner".
King Darius was more than eager to gave the throne to his son as He is more than fit to be the next King. Jack's sibling Princess Jasmin is still a teenage she wolf and just hangs around the manor whenever she pleases. She prefers to be unattached to politics and family duties. Unlike Prince Jack who leads the army of wolves since he was sixteen,Princess Jasmin is a carefree soul studying medicine and living her life. And being a daughter she gets what she wants from both of their parents.
"My King,,Prince Jack can begin his journey in the next crescent moon."
"Three days from now".
Sure and confident, Maleficus gave them the date of his travel.
And so,now he is here standing in the wide veranda of an old mansion. Overlooking the rural society of this little town called Saint Augustine. His Dad wants to start traveling the world together with his mom that's the only reason why he would retire so early.
"They are all settled downstairs Alpha".
Beta Matias is standing in the middle of his bedroom door waiting for his next order.
"How many rooms are downstairs?
"There are three Alpha and a maids quarters outside the house which the other three can occupy specially when they are guarding at night".
"Do we have a cook?
Jack turned around and walked inside the room,away from the veranda.
"No, Alpha but i can arrange one if you want. In the meantime I'll be personally handling your meals".
Beta Matias smiled.
"Make sure a cook is coming tomorrow Beta,i need you more with other duties concerning the purpose of my stay".
"Oh,of course Alpha". His figure then disappeared from his door frame.
