Annelise Helen · Ongoing · 32.3k Words
Introduction
No one knew that Walter had recognised Lila as his childhood first love the moment he saw her at his younger cousin’s engagement party, and had sensed she was his fated mate. He had just hidden his love because of their forbidden relationship. Two years earlier, Walter had been severely injured and left disabled in an incident. Everyone told him Lila had deliberately set him up. Therefore, when the amnesiac Lila came to him for help, he distrusted her and suspected she had an agenda, yet he could not bring himself to refuse her help.
To pay off her “debt” to Walter, Lila became his personal assistant. But she soon noticed that Walter seemed to act differently during the day and at night.
Chapter 1
LILA'S POV
What was I? What had I become? Who was I?
I jolted up from the bed, panting with my hand to my chest. The door slammed open and a maid walked in, rushing to my side.
“Are you okay, miss?” She asked, worried.
I nodded and tried to steady my breathing. I couldn't remember the dream. All I knew was that I was being chased by some animal.
“Get me some tea,” I ordered and she got up, rushing to do the task I had ordered her.
I finally got hold of my emotions and just sat on the bed staring at nothing in particular. “Why was a wolf chasing me?”
The ballroom glittered with gold lights and crystal chandeliers. Soft music floated through the air while people laughed and clinked glasses together.
“Make sure there's more wine for the guests down the hall,” I instructed the servants and they nodded, walking towards that end.
I looked around and I was glad that all my weeks of planning finally came together.
I stood beside one of the long tables, holding a glass of juice and trying not to look as uncomfortable as I felt.
These events were never my thing but my father loved them and this time, he had asked me to organise one of them.
I was taken aback when he did but at the same time, I was glad he was involving me in something he cherished. “Smile more, Lila,” he had told me earlier. “These are important people.”
Important people. I nodded and did as he said, smiling more at every new face till my cheeks hurt.
I glanced across the room and spotted my father standing with a group of men. He was smiling effortlessly and making mine seem like a joke.
He caught me staring at him and I froze up. His hand moved slightly and I noticed the thumbs-up that he gave me.
Warmth filled my heart and I felt happy.
A woman approached me with a bright smile. “You must be Lila,” she said. I nodded politely. “It’s lovely to finally meet you,” she continued. “Your father talks about you all the time.”
I forced a small smile. “I only hope for good things.”
She laughed lightly. “I also heard that you were the one that organized today's event. What a lucky man your father is to have a daughter like you.”
I smiled and she grasped my hand, brightly talking about the latest dresses and shoes in the market which I really didn't care for.
She asked me a question and I didn't quite catch what she said so I parted my lips to ask her to repeat herself but before I could, a dull ache struck my stomach.
I hunched over and held on to it with both my hands.
“Are you okay dear?” The woman asked, taking steps back from me.
I groaned out in pain and the music stopped. I knew everyone was looking at me now. The dull ache intensified into a sharp sting and it shot through my entire body that I crumpled to the floor.
Before I could respond again, a strange feeling twisted in my stomach. It felt like my body was trying to twist itself inside out.
It was tremendous pain and I was a writhing mess with no one to help me. Tears fell from my eyes and a circle formed around me.
A cracking sound filled the room and everyone gasped. Did that sound just come from me?
Another crack followed, louder this time.
A cry tore from my throat as my spine bent sharply. “What’s happening?”
“Is she okay?”
“A ringing sound filled my ears, tuning them out and when I tried to open my eyes, I couldn't make out any of the people in front of me.
I raised my hand in front of my face and my nails…they started to grow unnaturally long and curved into claws.
My breath came out in a panicked gasp. “What—”
My words broke off as another terrible crack ran through my back. I struggled to keep awake but it only got worse as my skin burned and it felt like something was tearing its way out of me.
Dark fur pushed through the skin of my arms and I stared in horror as it spread quickly across my wrists.
Someone screamed. The ringing sound stopped and I could make out the noise in the room again.
“What the hell is that?”
“Oh my Gosh!”
“Someone help her!”
Chairs scraped across the floor as people stumbled away from me. I tried to stand straight but my body wouldn’t listen.
For a second, my vision cleared and I saw my father. He stood across the ballroom, staring at me.
But the reaction on his face was pure terror, like he was looking at a beast and not his daughter. “What is this?” he said quietly and I could hear the panic in his voice.
The head of the security looked at me with pure horror in his eyes and immediately signalled the other guards.
“Hold her. Don't let her get away. She's…she's a monster.” He said, his eyes never leaving me.
The other security guards rushed toward me, trying to hold me but my father's voice echoed through the room. “Stop! Don't go close to her. Don't you dare hurt her.”
The men looked like they wanted to argue but shut their mouths. They held their guns up, ready to shoot if I did something crazy.
My father tried to move close to me but I growled back, scared that I would hurt him.
I needed to leave before I did something stupid.
The door was unlocked. And when they looked distracted, I took the opportunity and bolted. I could hear my father calling out to me but I didn't turn back. I couldn't.
The full moon illuminated my path and suddenly, I could see so many things that normal humans missed.
The building was in the middle of nowhere and miles away from civilization but I didn't stop, I continued to run through the woods in such a ghastly form.
My dress caught on so many branches and tore in many places but I was more focused on getting away from my father and his guests.
I finally reached a clearing and paused to catch my breath but I was exhausted. I fell to my knees and the pain tore through my body again, more than before.
I looked to the sky and screamed my lungs out and then slumped to the earth, letting the darkness take me.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
The mafia princess return
Badass in Disguise
"Jade, I need to check your—" the nurse began.
"OUT!" I snarled with enough force that both women backed toward the door.
Once feared by Shadow Organization that drugged me to replicate my abilities into a more controllable version, I had escaped my restraints and detonated their entire facility, ready to die alongside my captors.
Instead, I woke up in a school infirmary with women arguing around me, their voices piercing my skull. My outburst froze them in shock—clearly they hadn't expected such a reaction. One woman threatened as she left, "We'll discuss this attitude when you get home."
The bitter truth? I've been reborn into the body of an overweight, weak, and supposedly dim-witted high school girl. Her life is filled with bullies and tormentors who've made her existence miserable.
But they have no idea who they're dealing with now.
I didn't survive as the world's deadliest assassin by allowing anyone to push me around. And I certainly won't start now.
Accidentally Crossing the Tycoon
Four years ago, the Bailey family faced a devastating financial crisis.
Just when bankruptcy seemed inevitable, a mysterious benefactor emerged, offering salvation with one condition: a contract marriage.
Rumors swirled about this enigmatic man—whispers claimed he was hideously ugly and too ashamed to show his face, possibly harboring dark, twisted obsessions.
Without hesitation, the Baileys sacrificed me to protect their precious biological daughter, forcing me to take her place as a pawn in this cold, calculated arrangement.
Luckily, in those four years, the mysterious husband never asked to meet in person.
Now, in the final year of our arrangement, the husband I've never met is demanding we meet face to face.
But disaster struck the night before my return—drunk and disoriented, I stumbled into the wrong hotel room and ended up sleeping with the legendary financial mogul, Caspar Thornton.
What the hell am I supposed to do now?
The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."
Danielle Harris is the daughter of an overprotective police chief and has led a sheltered life. As a kindergarten teacher, she's as far removed from the world of Harleys and bikers as you could get, but when she's rescued by the sexy and dangerous Austin Carver, her life is changed forever.
Although Austin 'Booker' Carver is enamored by the innocent Dani, he tries to keep the police chief's daughter at arm's length. But when a threat is made from an unexpected source, he finds himself falling hard and fast for the only woman who can tame his wild heart.
Will Booker be able to find the source of the threat before it's too late?
Will Dani finally give her heart to a man who's everything she's been warned about?
The Alpha King's Human Mate
“I have waited nine years for you. That’s nearly a decade since I’ve felt this emptiness inside me. Part of me began to wonder if you didn’t exist or you’d already died. And then I found you, right inside my own home.”
He used one of his hands to stroke my cheek and tingles erupted everywhere.
“I’ve spent enough time without you and I will not let anything else keep us apart. Not other wolves, not my drunken father who’s barely holding himself together the past twenty years, not your family – and not even you.”

"But I will survive."
