Introduction
Time was supposed to heal what Alex broke, but for Joan, it only taught her how to survive without him.
Years after walking away from a love that hurts too deeply, Joan is forced back into Alex’s realm by a professional collaboration that she can’t refuse. Old wounds reopen, and familiar desires resurface.
For Joan, she knows loving Alex once destroyed her, but wanting him again feels just as reckless.
As desires refuse to stay buried, Joan must decide if protecting her heart is worth denying a love that still feels dangerously real. And Alex must finally face the question he once avoided: Is love enough if you never fought t to keep it?
Chapter 1
JOAN COLE’S POV
“Joan?” I heard my name called softly behind me.
I looked up and I saw the greatest shock of my life.
Alex stood a few feet away from me, looking taller and older than I remembered. Our eyes met and something old, familiar, and dangerously alive stirred between us.
“Are you the designer?” he asked, clearly surprised.
“What… what are you doing here?” I stuttered, looking just as surprised as he was.
“I’m the architect you are supposed to work with henceforth,” Alex replied as he stepped closer.
The clean, warm, and unbelievably Alex’s scent reached me. I tried to stay calm, but my body betrayed me as I felt an ocean pouring out right under me.
Alex noticed. Of course he did… We dated for five years.
“You look stunning,” he said softly, lowering his gaze to my hands which were gripping a folder like it was the only thing keeping me in check.
“You look well too,” I replied, my voice barely audible.
“Joan… I…” Alex wanted to talk but I cut him off.
“Let’s get into business, Mr. Hart,” I said curtly, as I pulled out a chair and placed my folder on the table.
“Oh, right,” Alex responded, rubbing his temple.
He sat down too and we went through the paperwork together.
Throughout the meeting, I could feel Alex stealing glances at me.
“Here are the samples,” I said.
Alex reached out, but instead of grabbing the samples, he wrapped his hand over mine, pinning the sample to the table.
The room suddenly felt too small.
“This can’t work,” I murmured as I pulled my hand away.
I grabbed my bag and folder and stood up.
“I’m afraid I will have to take my leave now, I need to meet up with another client, Mr. Hart,” I said with a professional smile.
“It’s nice meeting you, Joan… oh no… Miss Cole,” He snickered as he stood too.
I walked towards the door, my heels clicking on the marble floor.
“Are you married?”
An unexpected question stopped me just as my hand reached the doorknob.
“Does that have anything to do with this meeting?” I asked, my face blank.
“Huh… I mean… I…” Alex stammered.
“See you some other time, Mr. Hart.”
With that, I walked out of the room.
“Right… there is always some other time,” Alex said, smiling as he slowly licked his lips.
That evening, I got home very tired. I had met with three other clients apart from meeting Alex, and I couldn’t stop thinking about that particular moment.
As I stepped inside, I found Lena, my best friend, curled up on a couch, smiling at her phone.
“You are back home,” she said, looking up.
“Yeah,” I replied as I locked the door behind me.
“Girl… you wouldn’t believe who I saw today,” I added seriously.
Then, I dropped my bag on the couch opposite Lena and sank into it.
“You know I’m not good at guessing… so, just spill the tea,” Lena replied, sitting up to hear the gist.
“Alex was the architect I met with earlier today… I don’t know why the company had to send him and not someone else,” I started.
“Wait… Alex? The same Alex? That good-for-nothing fellow?” Lena replied, clearly irritated.
“Yeah… the same Alex,” I answered.
“So what happened? How did you handle it? Did you go ahead with the meeting?” Lena asked curiously.
“Chill… one question at a time please,” I smirked.
“I can’t wait to hear it,” Lena added.
“Of course, I went ahead with the meeting. I can’t afford to lose money because of one stupid ex,” I admitted.
“I trust you for that,” Lena smiled softly.
“So, what next?”
“He looked so hot… I won’t lie,” I said with a soft smirk.
“Really,” Lena laughed loudly.
“For real, I wanted to compose myself, but my pussy didn’t allow me, it was just throbbing and dripping,” I continued, slowly rubbing the back of my ear as I blushed.
“Girl, you were supposed to be angry with him,” she hissed.
“I know right… but now that we will be working closely together, I really need to set boundaries,” I said, now serious.
“Did you just say set boundaries?” Lena laughed.
“With the way you are already throbbing and dripping just because you saw him… I doubt it,” she added, still laughing.
“I will,” I said as I stood and headed to my room.
“We will see how it goes,” she smirked, returning to her phone.
“Set boundaries indeed.”
That night, I couldn’t sleep. I just kept tossing and turning, memories of Alex flooding my mind.
Especially how hot and steamy our sex life was. I remembered how he would turn me on the bed and how every corner in his small room was our playground.
I remembered how he would seize one of my breasts in one hand and fasten his mouth on the tip of the other.
“Gosh!” I moaned softly, slowly moving my hand into my panties.
“What am I doing?” I whispered, snapping myself back to reality before pulling on my eye mask.
You wouldn’t blame me… I haven’t had good sex since I left Alex.
Just as I turned to sleep, my phone beeped.
“Gosh! Who is that at this time of the night?” I hissed as I removed the mask and checked my phone.
“Hello, Miss Cole… we have a meeting scheduled for tomorrow morning. I can’t wait to see you, sexy.”
“Talk of the devil,” I smiled, before reality struck me.
“Wait… he has my number?” I whispered, my eyes wide open.
Now my fear is about to turn into reality.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
Falling for my boyfriend's Navy brother
"What is wrong with me?
Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.
He’s my boyfirend’s brother.
This is Tyler’s family.
I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.
**
As a ballet dancer, My life looks perfect—scholarship, starring role, sweet boyfriend Tyler. Until Tyler shows his true colors and his older brother, Asher, comes home.

When My ankle injury forces her to recover at the family lake house, I‘m stuck with both brothers. What starts as mutual hatred slowly turns into something forbidden.
I'm falling for my boyfriend's brother.
**
I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
HER ALPHA, HER SAVIOUR
Kane Hellboud, charm and wealth personified, wanted only me in exchange for her treatment. No cameras, isolation, or noose-like rules were part of the deal. Behind his smile? Cold, violent possessiveness that destroyed our fake marriage.

He’s my new boss. He shouldn’t make my skin tingle or my pulse race. I shouldn’t feel this primal pull, this illogical recognition that tugs at something deep in my bones.
Around him, lights burst, electronics fry, and something ancient in me awakens.
Kane feels it. His grip tightens, punishments turn brutal, and he hides the truth of what I am.
Trapped between two powerful men, I’m no prey, no pawn—no helpless victim.
Prisons burn. Monsters bleed. As for me? I'm the storm in skin—deadly beyond suspicion.

The Contract Wife: Marriage Of Malice
He didn't finish. He didn't need to.
I didn't tell him to stop.
Instead, my fingers curled into his shirt, clutching the fabric as though it was my only anchor. Something in him snapped—something he had been holding back for too long. His mouth found mine in a kiss that wasn't tender, but hungry, desperate.
I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.
Ella never imagined she would marry the man she had secretly loved for years in such a way.
When her brother Theo faced twenty-five years in prison for massive embezzlement, the ruthless business tycoon James Lancaster offered her a deal: marry him in exchange for her brother's freedom.
This wasn't a fairy tale proposal, but a carefully orchestrated revenge. Because in James's heart, Ella was the culprit who had killed his sister Cecilia. He wanted her to pay the price—to atone with a lifetime of suffering.
The CEO's Unspoken Love
Before I could answer, he moved closer, suddenly looming over me, his face inches from mine. I felt my breath caught, my lips parting in surprise.
"Then this is the price for speaking ill of me to others," he murmured, nipping my lower lip before claiming my mouth in a real kiss. It began as punishment but quickly transformed into something else entirely as I responded, my initial rigidity melting into compliance, then active participation.
My breathing accelerated, small sounds escaping my throat as he explored my body. His touches were both punishment and pleasure, drawing shudders from me that I thought he felt reverberating through his own body.
My nightgown had ridden up, his hands discovering more of mine with each caress. We were both lost in sensation, rational thought receding with each passing second...
Three years ago, to fulfill the wish of his grandmother, I was forced to marry Derek Wells, the second son of the family that had adopted me for ten years. He didn't love me, but I had secretly loved him all along.
Now, the three-year contractual marriage is about to end, but I feel that some kind of sentiment has developed between Derek and me that neither of us is willing to admit. I'm not sure if my feelings are right, but I know that we can't resist each other physically...
