Introduction
Chapter 1
Christopher just left the company where he worked. Before going home, the man didn't forget to stop by a flower shop. A bright smile never stopped adorning the man's handsome face.
How come? Today is his third wedding anniversary with the woman he loves very much. In this cold air, he was willing to look for a bouquet and some of his wife's favorite things. Even though Christopher's salary is low, he is happy because he can buy what his wife wants.
Ah! Christopher could buy whatever his wife wanted. But it doesn't feel like the right time now. Yes, the timing wasn't right. Christopher will also promise to buy what his wife wants. Whatever that is.
“How about this bouquet of red roses? Isn't this also very beautiful?” the flower maid asked Christopher.
Christopher looked at the very fresh red roses. Indeed, the flower is terrific, with white plastic covering the stem. So pretty! But Christopher shook his head. The man was not very interested in roses.
It's not that he doesn't like it, but just last year, he brought his wife a bouquet of roses. Does today have to be roses again?
No! That doesn't seem like a good idea!
“I'll take this one,” said Christopher with a white Chrysanthemum flower.
The flower maid nodded with a wide smile. Christopher's choice is beyond doubt. These gorgeous flowers are now packaged and ready to be given to your loved ones.
After getting the flowers, Christopher didn't forget to prepare a cake too. This was all Christopher could do with his meager salary as an employee. Simple but meaningful. Isn't it?
After getting everything needed, the man immediately walked back home. Tired? Yes, of course! But tiredness disappeared when he imagined his wife's beautiful face. Christopher can no longer relinquish his passion for Jasmin, his beloved wife.
Imagining this made Christopher immediately speed up his steps to go home. To hell with the tiredness he had. What the man needs right now is his wife. The distance between Christopher's office and house is not far enough. So Christopher chose to walk.
Vehicle? Hey! Christopher is not that poor! Of course, he has a car. But there is only one. Therefore, Christopher chose to go to the office on foot, braving the cold night weather. It's not that he doesn't want to use his vehicle. The man was also thinking about Jamin. How could he be in the car temporarily if Jasmin, his wife, wanted to go out? It was cold. Wouldn't it be better if he did it?
When Christopher was in front of the house, Christopher saw the car still parked neatly in the garage next to the house. That's a sign that his wife is currently at home. He couldn't wait any longer. Christopher immediately entered the house with a bouquet in his left hand and a cake in his right hand.
Christopher always has a beautiful smile. But he suddenly disappeared when he arrived at the guest house. Yes, the man's sweet smile just vanished in an instant. In the living room, he could see his sister-in-law and mother-in-law already sitting there carrying sheets of paper.
Without further ado and lingering, the paper leaflet was immediately thrown at his mother-in-law and hit Christopher's face right. Christopher was confused by what was happening. Is it?
Christopher's breath hitched when the question read the leaflet. “Divorce agreement?” What does this all mean? Does his wife want to leave him? No! There was no way Jasmin wouldn't go him in this way.
"You're finally home," said Christopher's mother-in-law in an annoyed tone. "Where have you been? I've been waiting for you for a long time," she continued.
“What is this, ma'am?” Christopher asked confusedly.
“Is all this not clear enough? I shouldn't have handed my daughter over to you, Christopher! Do you know? She always lives hard with you. This time, I'm happy because she used logic this time," said the mother-in-law with a mocking smile.
Christopher, of course, was confused. The man immediately looked at his sister-in-law to find the answer. But that was not the answer the man got. Instead, his brother looked mocking and disgusted.
“What do you mean? Where is Jasmin?” Christopher asked irritably.
Yes, the man was sure his wife would not do this to him. He remembered that a few nights ago, they had a crazy love scene with Jamin. He was channeling a sense of comfort between the two.
“Are you too stupid? Looks like you can read the scattered letters," said his mother-in-law, looking down at Christopher.
Christopher didn't argue. He followed what his mouth said. He picked up some papers scattered on the floor. After that, he carefully understood and read the contents of the letter. There was a written divorce agreement that Christopher didn't believe in. Moreover, Jasmin's signature and Jasmi's name were written there.
No! Christopher's instinctive heart still thinks all of this is sheer nonsense. Yes, all this is nonsense!
“Where is Jasmin? I don't have time for this nonsense,” Christopher growled. The man also roughly placed the bouquet and cake he had brought to the table around.
“Hey! Are you foolish? No wonder you continue to be employees!” said Christopher's sister-in-law mockingly.
"What do you mean?" Christopher asked.
"We will see! It was clear there was Jasmin's writing. Do you still think this is all bullshit? Are you stupid?” said his sister-in-law with mocking power.
Christopher immediately put his signature and writing similar to his wife's. It looks like this was written by Jasmin. How about this? Did his wife leave him?
“What a poor man like you deserves to be left behind, Christopher! You know? Jasmin is always offered with lots of treasures! Many people in business want to marry her. I would be happy if she left you, who are nothing like this," said his mother-in-law with a mocking smile.
Christopher held his hands tight to hold back the emotions ready to overflow. Looks like he has to find the truth himself. Christopher didn't want only to hear one way. He had to find Jasmin and ask her what this all meant. Yes! he had to see where his wife was now. So that everything is clear! He still can't believe it if Jamin just left him like that.
